The secret bait, colors, and modifications are cool. And they always seem to get the most views. But I really hope to start seeing more bass behavior, tournament strategy, and mental side of fishing videos. Really love your content. Thanks randy!
You definitely got this right. When I throw a Jig it is the color combo I have tied on 90% of the time. Also you are correct on The size of fish it catches ,you will rarely catch a fish that is not a keeper on this bait with most over 3 lbs and bigger have caught many 5-6 lb fish on this bait with the largest being 8.47 .Thanks for keeping it old school.
I got my Blaukat Ol school jigs with blue chunks and can't wait to give jig fishing a try. Waiting on the water temp to get up a little and excited to be jig fishing again after 20 years. I really like the action of the live rubber skirts on my new jigs and can't wait to see how they perform with catching a few chunks this spring.
I also love taking your jig pitching it against a cypress tree and letting your jig hit the bottom of the tree at the trunk where it goes to the water making a loud knock and then letting it slide down the tree under the water and I find when doing this it helps getting me a lot more bites , when it slides down it after that noise when u go to make your first hop or drag I always check first cause a lot of times she’s got it and the line is coming to the boat , another reason I love your jig
I just got my baitwrx order today and I ordered two of your 3/8oz chartreuse jigs!! I will have to give this a try! I would have ordered the 1/4oz but baitwrx was out of these so I bought the black/blue tensil and a couple of other things. Thanks Randy for this information!! :)
Clicked for the jig tip. But that subtle tip on the importance of the bright blue has me intrigued. I wonder if that translates over to worms and other creature baits too?
I've been throwing gantarel Jr on beds at Clark's & I've put few suspend strips so it just barley sinks, almost suspends. I fish it up to beds then kill it let it sink stupid slow down onto bed, been working well but have b able to see the bed
Dadgumit Randy! There you go giving up some more your tricks again but we love it And like you I've been fishing that same jig set up since the early 1980s and I can attest it is in fact a fish catching combination Asian love your channel man keep it up
Man we appreciate it. Thank you , and you guys and gals be sure and check out Matt Stefan channel and subscribe and like 👍. Between the two is great information.
i always use a sapphire blue trailer and all the small 1/2lb follow it and the bigger ones actually eat it in the clear water i fish. it definitely attracts the fish compared to the other colors i use
Just got mine in the mail from Baitwx. Going to the Harris Chain this weekend ! I will let you know what happens. They are pretty much sold out, they need to get more ASAP!
I have had the same success you mentioned with same size jigs only difference is instead of black I had blue and chartreuse with a #11 uncle's josh blue frog now I can't find that jig amywhere
Did he say 25lb mono or fluoro? great tip, I have been using black blue Jig with craw or beaver black blue trailer and chartreuse dip n glo., or a flipping hook with same baits and pegged weight w/ chartreuse but I'm wondering about the line?
What about when there is heavy flooding, well above average years past. Will bass still spawn farther up bank in shallow water that would normally be dry land? Or do they mostly spawn in normal areas that would never dry up?? Lake by my house is crazy high flooded so much it lifted & moved the docks this past week. Now 2 docks are in other side of lake & water 5-6 feet up into grass, trees.
I watched the bass masters live today..by that I mean I live 20 mins away from Chickamauga and chased them down all day In my 50hp stratos 176tx ..it was fun but by the time I got there to take a pic they already were pulling up the trolling moter
Papaw e doesn't respond to emails or phone calls. Terrible customer service. They shorted me on my order and now I'm out 12 bucks. Will be calling my credit card company to dispute my charge. Buyer beware. I Love your jigs Randy.
I like your jig but for the money it seems the paint just don’t hold up. May want to look into it. Used them in a few different situations and limited rock and it just didn’t hold up.
Thousands of anglers catch Thousands of big bass every week using Thousands (hundreds?) of different bait types, sizes, and colors. The reason anyone catches a bass is because they casted where the bass was and it was hungry enough to eat. It's that simple. Let's say you're Superman and you catch a bass on this exact setup - black and chartreuse jig with a blue chunk trailer. Take flight, reverse the Earth's rotation, and go back in time to when you casted. Cast again to the exact same spot except this time with a green pumpkin and white jig with a brown craw trailer. Does anyone honestly think the bass is not gonna hit the jig???
I keep seeing you talk about techniques that are secrets and special tips. Why don't you win anymore? Why a $10 jig? Why not show us instead of tell us? Maybe u should focus on new techniques and new less expensive baits. 40 years ago is just reliving your past not doing to good now. Consistently finishing outside the top 50 isn't impressive , especially when you're loosing to young guys with little experience. Please just retire already.
It takes a level of humility to publicize personal shortcomings. Randy continues to do what he enjoys. In a tournament there is one winner and alot of people who enjoyed the competition. Why retire?

I wanna see him catch some fish lol. Like out on the lake.
It's just so complicated....there's so much to it besides buying all the shit and cast and retrieve bank beater
Randy would love love to see you do a video on smallmouth behavior especially in Highland reservoirs. I fish Bull Shoals and love to chase smallmouth.

Brilliant~
Great information but really not a secret to me except I used the old green pork frog. Did they start back making those old pork frogs? Thanks

They don't stick around a spot long at all
Hi Randy!
Do you use this color in clear water?
I gotta 22 lb bass on this jig
Yellow or green chartreuse??
Love it
Why 90 degrees to the bank as opposed to 45?
Are the blaukat jigs not available?!?
Their temper early out of stock because we have a weedguard supply issue that we’re taking care of
Papaw e doesn't respond to emails or phone calls. Terrible customer service. They shorted me on my order and now I'm out 12 bucks. Will be calling my credit card company to dispute my charge. Buyer beware. I Love your jigs Randy.

It's an overdramatized bluegill. Heck yeah big bass would slam it.
Yes I’m first viewer
Please stop saying juice lol

You’re assuming everybody has a boat?
Your not saying anything new
