I don't even know if you can compare it to LBP- the toolset is more similar to Unity or Unreal Engine 4 than a game with a large amount of level creation tools.

I'd say it's much closer to LBP. Yes it has a ridiculous suite of tools to use and do anything with, but the workflow using DS4 and Move is so different than other game engines. Also in terms of the tools available, most engines don't have these in one package without using extensions or middleware.
Yes and no. It'll have similarity to LBP in terms of how the tools work together but also it'll have a Unity and Unreal Engine 4 touch to it.

One game Im not complaining at all that its taking this long to come out. I'll go as far as to say that this just might be the most ambitious commercial game to release. Its a fully developed game engine for the masses that has even integrated music making tools into it.

No joke. I've watched this like...5 times. It is weird. I just love his attitude and sincerity. Even I find it weird I've rewatched this, but it is just so...joyful! And sincere...did I mention sincere? Because that's maybe the most unique thing about this. It felt like a real conversation with a person who loves games, not a PR mouthpiece. So sad how rare that is. And it makes me sad this has so few views.
I hope he gets some more interviews in the lead up to the game's launch...if it ever launches lol

This game gonna win so many awards they are creating a masterpiece and still not many people know about it
Yeah I have a feeling that this is going to be something special. Mm studios did a great job with lbp 1 and 2 so there's no doubt in my mind that this game will be good too. It's a shame that not a lot of people are talking about this. I think that once it finally releases and all the creation tools are available people are going to make some really jaw dropping stuff. I also think that mm studios should start having better advertising for their games.

This game is going to take over my life
I plan on jamming out some content weekly, maybe getting a capture card later on and streaming it. Low-risk creative work for my free time.
There's something they don't talk about. .. AI... you can make cool characters, even animate them. .. but if you can't create an AI , eg, if you run, you use an animation. .. if you jump, you use another. ..how enemies can find you more or less easily. .. also, game creators will need all kinds of tools, to manage inventories.... health bars... all kinds of variables, that will change over time... today, there are only a 'few' guys creating a few simple elements, levels, etc. .. but the day they will have 10'000 active creators, working on dreams. .. they will be asking for new tools every single day. ..we need this tool to make this. .. we need this feature to make that. ..people will quickly need a tool to create textures, and apply them on surfaces... it's gonna be fun ! MM will have a lot to do, after launch.
I wish they had made a LBP 4, on ps4... it would have been insane, with hd graphics. ..
They actually did make LittleBigPlanet in Dreams and it was rather impressive.
This summer I went on vacation with 6 other friends. Someone took a shit in the toilet without flushing and it's been a mystery of who did it ever since. If I get Dreams, I'm going to use it to create a mystery Clue-esque scenario for players to figure out who did it as they traverse the house and interact with the suspects.

Super excited for this game! I'm not much of a creator, I might dabble, but I'm mostly looking forward to experiencing things that the community makes! It's especially great that VR is included day one because I just bought a PSVR!

That is if they actually market the game and get more people to know about it, and even then, it will probably mostly resonate with the creative types.
Considering how LBP3 flopped, they have the lingering bitterness and resentment to overcome. The hype died down for LBP, I feel like. That'll be hard to overcome. Hope I'm wrong

I don't think its as anticipated as those games by an audience the size of those games, but it will be a defining game of the playstation catalog. And with the ps5 almost certain to be backwards compatible (unless sony wants to be a dick) all content will transfer to it.
I don't think this is the kind of game that gets prelaunch hype because it is too outside the box. I think it's hard for people to look forward to it. It unfortunately well not appeal to a lot of people because a lot of people are lazy and don't want to put forth the effort to be creative themselves. What will make this game popular is the few that will use it. Content creators will post on UA-cam or Twitch. More people will probably just watch others create with it.

It's crazy how this game was announced in 2013 when the PS4 was coming out, and came out in 2020 when the PS5 is coming out.

Tearaway is the best vita game.
Killzone Mercenary and Gravity Rush say "Hi!".
@@MegaRayland Tearaway is much better than either of those games.
Gravity rush is probably the second best but Kill zone is no way near either of them.
@@superawsomemegaWe'll agree to disagree. Tearaway is a top Vita game no question. It is certainly one of the most original games on the system but hardly the best game on it. But with Killzone they are both certainly top 10 games for the system. Killzone is just a terrific experience.
But at the end of the day there is one thing I am sure we can agree on and that is that the Vita has a terrific library of games and regardless of whether you put this game first or second, or I put that game first or second, Killzone, Uncharted, Tearaway, Wipeout, Gravity Rush, etc, are all must haves.
@@MegaRayland Different tastes I guess. I just think that tearaways use of every aspect of the system (Camera, both touch pads, gyro) etc. Made it the seminal game for the vita.
Killzone was pretty impressive visually for a handheld, just maybe a bit less my type of game. Also Gravity rush I would say is definitely in most peoples top 3 for vita somewhere.

I'm just realizing that I have and played every game of Media Molecule...all of them were just beautiful in it's own way.
One question I really want to be asked is "Are all the games like one-offs or can you make games that save your progress?"

You can make games that save your progress
You can carry progress between scenes. That's been shown in a couple of creations.
This has been possible since LBP2’s DC DLC and LBP3 at launch. It’s probably been implemented.
He said "sure" to a game being made in dreams and then being sold on a shelf.
But can you even export your games to disc lmao??
Think the idea is, if they spot a game good enough to be sold, they'll work with the creator to make that happen. You can't just choose to sell your game without their input.
