Spent 5 years with landstar. Never heard about the npt. I had no problem with landstar except there 120 day inspection. I retired in jan23 and do not miss the road at all.
I'm in the final steps of onboarding. Just have to do the landstar dot inspection and orientation I believe. Where I'm at now is a joke. All DAT board loads, with the companies agents. Very rarely do you even get a direct customer load. Running 3000 miles to bring home barely 2k is bs. Hopeful for the future at landstar.
Nobody in there right mind, would come to Landstar, at this time, the average load is paying less than $2.10 per mile, the Broker's control your Work, by looking at your load history and Denying you loads, although most loads on the Board, are Fake and not available, they will keep you Busy, but you will be operating in the Negative Balance, loads paying less than $1.50 per mile, Dedicated loads are only available to a select few of Drivers, considering the overall Landstar, workforce, I consider Landstar, Dried Bones, in the Desert in a Burlap Bag that is Rotting Daily, Landstar, doesn't have loaner Trucks, there are very few Contractors at Landstar, with available Equipment, in the event that Your Truck is not working, the Landstar, Truck insurance doesn't pay enough for you to Rent a Truck if something catastrophic, was to occur, if your truck is out of service for more than 90 days, Landstar, will cancel your Contract, Terrible company to even think about going to.
What landstar has over most major companies is the fact that you can pick your on loads. I recently made a vid with a buddy of mine about mag carriers. I’d consider them before most companies, multiple loads boards and less percentage taken. It’s takes awhile before you get comfy at landstar. Thanks for watching
Thanks for your video brother, I’m in the process of returning to LANDSTAR, why are people that know nothing about LANDSTAR saying it’s the worst? They even give %of O/O who left LANDSTAR, and% of loads going to x places or bad loads, how do you know that? Stop talking BS.
If you come to LandStar with Your own Trailer... They reduce the cut down to 27% Ain't much but an important fact you might need to make a choice. (If you want to come to LandStar with your own Trailer. #ThatsTruckin
About get in to my own truck i want to run for land star but nver used a load board makes me a little bit nervous but you making it seem like its not that hard
If you book in advance you’ll be fine. There’s a time I think at 10am they put up the new loads. Most landstar drivers are cool if you have any question we help
Worst load board in the industry! Thousands of unavailable loads everyday! If you come here as a new driver you will struggle! I am on a very good dedicated but if I didn’t have this account that I was on a year and a half waiting list to get on I would make no money on that load board.

They have practice classes you can take at home as they explain it before you get on.
do they give visa sponsorship for foreign driver?
I don’t see why not
Do they have driver facing cameras?! 🤔
No.you have to buy your cameras. It’s your choice
It’s an owner operator company. It’s your truck do what you want.
How much exp?
I think 2 years
Stay away from the Minneapolis St Paul area. There are several agents competing for the freight.
Do they have reefers
They do but it’s not a crazy demand for them I’ll do a vid soon on that dept
we are not making money in 2023 I’ve started 4 months ago and I’m totally broke because of the agents
If your thinking about leaving watch my last video
Not the agents.
@@CarLanguage hehe over 3000 owner operator left Landstar in 2023 and you said 5 reasons to work for Landstar come on man be honest
@@darylwirth9423 absolutely brokers agent and Mega carries all of them not doing the right decision so they will cause the industry to collapse soon
