Cry baby, cry baby, cry baby
Honey, welcome back home

Her style is like nothing I have ever listened to. Shamelessly "screaming" in a melody that way brings a big risk of being too annoyng or loud... BUT NO WAY IN HER CASE. She didn't only scream fancy sounds, as other artists, she screamed emotions. She had an amazing talent of literally throwing raw, bloody emotions right in our faces. When she sang, you could feel the most genuine heartbreak and desperation, exactly the way she felt it. At least, that is what I feel everytime I listen to her.
Great interpretation of her voice. I absolutely agree from Andalusia-Spain.
try joe cocker 1969 woodstock - with a little help from my friends, thats something allright
I love her music, thats one lady I would have loved to seen in concert
That is because Miss Joplin really felt that way and her pain could be heard and not only with your ears but also with your heart and that is why she was so troubled and she deserved better and we all know that
What a great, accurate review.
Jesus. That intro gives me shivers down my spine.
The pain in her voice is like nothing else
That big "H" in her life destroyed her love of life.
@@Kirby16309 she had a rough life
They were very poor
@@Lucy-ey6xl I know. All such a tragic 😥 accident 😞
@@Kirby16309 it's like she's singing about her life. With a ton of soul
It's not just pain, though. This is a song where she's trying to make a man be better!
Oh I do... if she only knew.. makes my heart break...love her❤
Saw her in Springfield, MA November 1969! She was amazing. Paid $4 for my ticket.
Lucky you
For the price of a large coffee today. Perspective.
Yur so lucky ♥️
listened to it today with a free coffee... maybe sad they didn't change the world back then but....
If heavens angels sing, it's with Janis... let us adore her and her infamous voice that's infectious
Tune. Love this woman.
It's a crying 😭 shame. This woman was too good for this world
We losr Janis to soon, but her spirit lives on and will never die. Love this song so much still listening in 2024 anyone else?
Makes the hairs on my arms stand up
Absolute legend of a woman😊
Hell Yes!!! Will till I can't.
DiorのCMが流れ、不意に あっ、っと声が出た。自分の意志とは別のところで聴く 彼女の歌声に 胸が踊った。ジャニスの声が好きです。
This woman sang with more heart and soul than anyone else. You can feel it.
Yes. One of the biggest voices ever.
She squealed and screeched like a banshee. It’s grating, I’m sorry.
👍🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥💙
Maybe Amy, the same heart (my opinion) and be sure I can feel her, like also PJ Harvey, All the best
She felt the words and made you feel them.
The Blues and Soul in her voice...*Chef's Kiss*
😢I wish she was still alive singing like an angel
I'm 27 now.. Raised by a single mother.. She always listened to Janis Joplin.. Which I did not like at all when I was younger.. But as I got older and really listened to Janis... I just FELT it, and she is just my favorite female artist ever. Thank you mother for raising your kids to music that will forever be timeless.
Can u help me and interpret me this song a little? Im not english speaking guy and it s not clear for me: is this mothers song who singing it to doughter or her son? Or singing by wife to her ex husband who came back home. Sorry if my questions are stupid but a really loved the song and wanna clearly understand what she singing about. Thanks in advance
Никита Валетов she’s singing to a lover she’s waiting to come home
I grew up with my mom listening to the oldies station on the radio and it's pretty much the only music I listened to. I got hooked on it and still think the 80s were the last decade for consistently good music. 90s if you're talking country.
@@NurSunUSAKZ
Yes, to her lover. And she will always love and wait for him. He can cry to her after being left by another woman. Her baby (lover) can come home and cry to her.

Some carry their heart on their sleeve, Janis lived her heart in her music and it cost her, but we are all greater for her.
Her body died but her voice will always rise. What a singer my godbess
Happy 80th birthday Janis Joplin!!!
She was One of the best singers of all time a icon
Anybody who does not smile listening to her voice does not understand music at all my god what a talent
When my oldest son was an infant, I would sing this song to him, and he would literally burst into tears. My mother said it was bc he was so moved by my singing. The way he'd look at me before he started wailing... would melt my entire heart... he's 21 now, and loves all music, just like his mama and grandma do... thank you, mama, for the gift of loving music so much.
Were you telling him or asking him too. Either way he obliged you, lol 😆.
We are 3 sister in our early sixties. One of my best memories is when we reunited for the fist time in years in my 85 years old mother's house and sung this music from the top of our lungs ( out of tune, but course, so happy to be together and alive!).
I'm 27 am I hope that my kids will be singing this music at your age
You are soooo fortunate, I lost both of my sisters. We usta clown around with different songs also. I thin I loved Janis the most.
Rui, you are a cool lady
✌️✌️✌️✌️
I'm 16 and hope some day to do it for my mom :,)
I am 70 and my wife loved to sing Cry Baby out of tune and we loved it for 50 years. Great memories.
The queen of music. Rip to miss Janis joplin
still here 2024 🎉🎉
I'm here in 2024. I was just about to ask if anyone else is. My mom loved Janis Joplin and bought one of her albums when I was growing up in the 60s.
Sim 2024 10 de julho. Vou sempre amar ouvir a janis
My dad loved Janice . We played this one at his funeral.
She was my Dad favorite one 2. The same night night that he passed away. I had an emergency fever. It took me 2 weeks to come concious. When my Mom told me about, that he was not going to be around. My reaction was awful to her. I kick her, I call her a Lier. Janice still holds a lot of memories with my Dad. His Whisky and jokes. I was only 15 years old.
May yoir dad rest in peice bro😢
I was sitting in my living room and this song just popped into my head. I had to hear Janis. She was great. Her and Joe Cocker sang with such abandon.
@@iralcastillo4777 glad you are alive
That was really a cool thing to do! Take care!
She's one of a kind. Her style, her outfits, her singing & her voice is like no other. That's my girl!!
Janis Joplin is quite literally the most expressive form of raw emotional expressionism that I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I'm quite literally overcome with emotions when I listen to the version of take another piece of my heart.
Today is one year w/o my mom. She loved Janis. This one's for you mom, you're not sick anymore. ❤
I'm so very sorry about your Mom! It's now been 7 years since I lost my Mom and, and I'm sure you know or will know, the hurt never goes away!
6 years today without mine. She loved Janis, too.
I MISS YOU JANIICE JOPLIN!!! YOUR FREE SPIRT!!!! I DID NOT KNOW YOU CAME FROM TEXAS!!!! I WAS BORN IN TEXAS AS. WELL!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
She's nothing but heart and soul. It echoes throughout time, and in my mind. Love you, J.J.
I am Japanese.
An acquaintance of her gave her a CD for her 24th birthday.
The year I was born, the year she died
1971
When I got her cd, I listened to it a few times but wasn't very interested.
I love her voice now, her lyrics, the moments she sings together.
I was listening to her singing yesterday while drinking her Southern comfort.
52 years this year
I was a little scared when I got the cd, but now I am very grateful.
The fact that I got to know her The fact that she became someone special❤
Proofreading
She passed away in 1970 and I got her cd released in 1971.
I'm going to buy a record player because I want to hear her voice on records
👍👏❤️
She was misunderstood by many.
She had true soul in every fiber of her body..
It was the language that resonated with all her believers.
( we got it ) we carried her as deep as she sang). She should of lived her lifetime with us, as we needed more of her inspiration
My Mama loved Janis and this song was her favorite. She just passed away yesterday. She introduced me to Janis and we listened to her music together A LOT! ❤️
❤️
I need girl like this .... Janis J. Was gorgeous girl off all time.. girl I like your songs u have put the soul in this masterpiece... why this girl are disappear on this earth.?
This song is featured on a television advert at present . Wish it wasn't Janis is too good for that.
There will never be another like her. The passion, the feelings and the heartfelt emotion in every note she sings.

Absolutely mind-blowing. From the most tender and vulnerable to the most explosive and powerful, all in four minutes. There's no one like Janis, before or since.
Imagine if she did an unplugged concert
What can I say about Janis Joplin other that I absolutely loved her. Her beautiful raspy voice just made me feel alive, and in touch with the rebel world.
Even as a little bitty girl this woman's music made me feel things like no other music out there
Who loves Janice Joplin!

MISS JOPLIN. THE ONLY ONE...THE BEST ..WHAT A TALENT, THE VOICE .
SAUVAGE AND STRONG AND WILD...RIP...GONE TOO SOON..
WE LOOSE ALL THOSE INCREDIBLE ARTISTES..
WE HAD THEM...AND AFTER THEM...: NO ONE.
I love Janis Joplin! She will always be young in my heart. I can listen to her over and over!
She will always be young. This might sound weird, but l think some people aren't meant to grow old.
she _literally_ will always be young because she died at the age of 27, not because of anyone’s mind or heart.
My best friend died. Janis reminds me of her. Her passion, her love for all who needed her, a mother who tried to do better, and did better when she knew how. Rest in peace,
An amazing woman. Love ya , Ann Boylan .
RIP

There will never be anyone like Janis.
Janis was bullied badly at school but look who had the last laugh ! Janis did ☺️
Yes she is still relevant today and the haters are long forgotten
Ahhh Janis. She was a blues singer. Just listen to this. Can you feel it? Gives me chills.
I’m glad Janis Joplin’s music is remembered in such positive light that it inspires people 50’s years later. I’m sure she’d be super happy to know the impact she’s had
It does
I was probably 14 when I first heard Janis Joplin and now 50 years later I still feel her power things we're simpler than or maybe I just thought so. But we didn't have Corona virus, soaring gas prices, and don't worry of what the future might bring. Just a future I'm great rock and roll. Boy I didn't know what was to come. But I can still reminisce
I have met with her at rocky point park in Warwick rhode island and yes I was talking to her and she's a person who would talk to people.

No one will EVER sing like Janis🙏
50 years since we lost her. The most beautiful and talented girl I’ve ever liked and listened to. Her voice is like a tormented and frail soul, and her stage presence is legendary. Hope she has found the happiness which we can’t find during this pandemic.
Godspeed Janis
Amen. Feel your words 1million% ✌🌼💙
Wait she died?
@@rattythick Quite a long time ago indeed.
She really had a beautifully unique voice and it's a shame that her time was so short so much soul in every note

You are the queen of blues and Rock. Wonderful voice.
My adopted mother used to sing this to me when I was little.
God I hope she's in heaven now feeling loved. She deserves that. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
I don’t believe that there is just one “queen” of soul… there have been many & Janis Joplin is certainly one of them (at least to me she is). Wherever Janis Joplin is in the afterlife, is where I want to be. I know there’ll be *great music* to provide me solace until I meet with the rest of my loved ones again. R🌹I🌹P Queen.👑
Janis Joplin is my all time favorite artist, her lyrics themselves speak volumes and the soul in her voice only exemplifies that.
my mommy use to love this song.
She died, listening that song. heart disease, though thang.
I wish could sit with her again, and sing again.

My mum is over 70+ now and was told she wouldn't be alive long due to breast cancer, cervical and cancer of the vocal chords from the age of 30+ and so now she's made it this far in her life I've made a playlist on here just for her and whenever she thinks of a song she loves she tells me so I can add it. This is one of "MY MUMS FAVS" 💖💖

I wish she had the gift of life. RIP Beautiful Janis......
Janis Joplin had I think one of the most passionate expressive voices ever. RIP My Dear ... Always (even at 62) will love you and respect you the rest of my life.

Cry Baby gives me chills. Janis is in a class of her own. She did it HER way 100%. This entire album (cd now) takes me right back to The Haight. I was fortunate enough to live close enough that I got to see just about ANYBODY you can name. This was my generations music and we loved it. Many weekends spent at Golden Gate Park and all of the music venues. Those truly were the good old days for my generation. Gone too soon, like so many others.
A style like no other. I could listen to Janis Joplin all day and not once get tired of her music. I loooooove me some Janis Joplin. “All you gotta do is be a good man to one woman…”

I heard this song the first time ever watching Look Who’s talking…I had no idea it was Janice Joplin until now. Wow…
Happy birthday to a beautiful woman your music will live on forever. Rip ❣️
She sang with so much raw emotion and soul she hurt herself a couple of times performing, put everything her Texas heart had into her music, love her.
The thing that sets her apart. Along with all the greats, is the sheer emotion, the passion that she poured into these songs. Beautiful person. Beautiful voice. Thank you Janis!
