As a Dubliner, I can assure you that O’Connell street was a wild choice from the start, if they had put it on the more tame south side of the city most of this wouldn’t have happened (though I’m low key glad it did, for the plot like)
i'm glad it wasn't on south side if it was it would have made dublin look posh and boring

I'm in perth, Australia and I went to Blazing Swan this year which is our version of Burning Man and one camp had set up two CCTV screens/cameras that were live streaming from one part of the festival to another. One filming a random couch area and another one on a walkway...maybe this is where they got their idea from! Seemed a bit more creepy than this though as it was in black and white and seemed more voyeuristic.
