Lets drop this absolute banger of a song
:-O
Anglia Alba does that make it any less irish?
AJR: me First
@Anglia Alba Most *tunes, not songs* here are written by different musicians. Not all written by the same musician. The may be played by somebody who is neither irish or of irish decent but that doesn't mean the tunes aren't played the same as any irish person would play. I am saying this under the assumption that all tunes played here are written by an irish musician but there could be a few that were written outside ireland but it is still the irish tradiational music which makes it irish music.
@@Rain-ui1mo u ain't irish
It feels like i live in medieval age, travelling and watch everybody across the globe in some traditional market.
What great and vivid imaginations! Wonderful.
ME TOO...HALF IRISH AND WILL ALWAYS REPRESENT
The jig first appeared in the 16th century, shortly after the end of the medieval period.
@@bridgetlindayaa yeha half irish half mexican but I have no clue where the mexican side is even located currently so i consider myself a pure irish immigrant. My great grandparents immigrated to America from Ireland.
I am a proud american but i also honor my Gaelic/Celtic ancestral heritage.
Oh man.. I was listen this song IM RIDING A HORSE wOw
Happy St. Patricks Day 2024! 🍀
I don’t understand why people hate the bag pipe. I find it a beautiful sounding instrument
It is very lively.
Tell that to my neighbor going to stop the English invasion at 3 AM
Who does? I don't know anybody who hate it, id you do, change your friend's circle!
I think it's partly because it's one of those instruments that, when played badly is unbearable so if you dont hear someone half decent playing it, it's god awful. I myself have had both ends of that spectrum in the same day, and at the good end it's brilliant, at the bad end I've never wanted to burn anything more. (But when played well bagpipes are absolutely class)
I know right it sounds great
My childhood best friend was Irish. We grew up near Birmingham, I'm English and Josh was Irish. Since childhood, Irish culture has been a part of my life, I celebrated St. Patrick's Day, I went with my friend to dance in a pub that was owned by local Irish people. I am very sorry to realize that Great Britain and Ireland are at odds because of our difficult history. I really hope that one day we will be able to live together (our two separate coutries I mean) and in peace...
Happy St. Patrick's Day! 🇮🇪❤🇬🇧
Happy Saint Patrick’s day 2024!! 🍀🍀🍀
If I was 23 right now I be drinking after all my old family life's where in Ireland

I hope Ireland has a song about potatoes I know it's a steriotype but it's true
I’m Nigerian and this snap so hard. Maybe it’s because saint Patrick is also the patron saint of Nigeria. Long live Nigeria 🇳🇬 and Ireland 🇮🇪
Theres always room for more man! A cold drink will always be ready for you 🇮🇪☘️🍺🥃
TIL.
Nigerians love the old stout too - ooo
❤ Èire n Nigeria
makes me even happier to be both at once :D
In ireland we have perfectly preserved aincient ruins 🇮🇪
When I listen to Irish music, I feel so close to my ancestors and hope they're proud, because I know the dreams they held when boarding that ship to America with a small bag of potatoes and a head full of hope. Nine generations later, I hope they can hear me playing these tunes and appreciating their story. 💚🤍🧡
That's so nice
Our Irish ancestors must unite in their pride of us young Irish folk 🧡🤍💚
Why would they have potatoes with them didnt the blight take them all out?
@@alexbrady2858 I believe my ancestors came right before the blight took over. One was a little girl during their voyage. In her stories passed down, she recalls the ship getting off course and her family having to ration down to half a potato a day until they reached America.
Idk if I have Irish ancestors but if it helps,I'm from the uk
It is IRISH that I am and proud of it. 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
I'm part Irish and I'm with you

Being a red head i can't let my friend's see me listening to this or i will be stereotyped
Just be yourself.

Same...I'm a black redhead at that 😂😂I'd never hear the end of it.
Being an Irish redhead, I couldn't care less. Let them sterotype me. It's good and fun music!
MouthyMerc exactly mate, who gives one? You do as you wish
@@MouthyMxrc Well if the stereotype is right then is it a stereotype anymore?
Being a South Asian I am in love with Irish culture
I'm sure I lived in Ireland in a past life. Every time I listen to this music it's like being there. There's no words to express what I actually feel. The same happens to me with Native American music. Greetings from Mendoza, Argentina
You would like Arvel Bird. He combines Celtic music, Native American music, and rock music into this AWESOME hybrid.
Theres always room and a drink waiting for you! 🇮🇪☘️🍺🥃

@@MrAndMrsVampire That sounds phenomenal! Going to check him out now. Tu!
@@branwen8009 You're welcome, my friend!

I’m Irish, I love this. It reminds me of the St, Paddy’s day parades. Some say I’m not real Irish because I’m from N.I. but trust me, I am
PandBak yeah your a real Irish up the RA
Ireland to Northern Ireland- we are one country and the U.K. knows
I'm American but I have ancestors from both Catholic and Protestant Ireland. It's a shame we let such things divide us!
Northern Ireland and Éireann are all one island regardless of supposed boundaries set by certain individuals.
I’m Irish too, good to know people are here with me 😂
I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO IRISH JIG!!!!
:-O
I know how
Me Too
I used to know how to when I was younger. Now I've lost it, among other talents. 😆

IT’S SO WIERD here with all of the Coronavirus stuff
@@Melissaannenglish Right? Well, if there's one good thing about all of this, it's that it's making me realise all the things I took for granted. There's so much I'll appreciate so much more when all this is finally over.
yep
Totally, like I used to wash my hands like 1 or sometimes 2 times a day, but now I know how important it is and I now wash about 3 to 5 times a day
I love playing my Bodhrán along to this! Beautiful music.
I actually love Irish music and dance. This is my kind of rhythm.
I think in my past life i was a ginger Irish because I feel too attracted to Ireland, its music, culture, and its history of Celts and Vikings. Long live Ireland 🇨🇮

My turn I guess, I'm Scottish, Irish and Welsh. And a brunette. Which was the original hair color of the Irish until they mingled with the Vikings, and became known for their striking red hair.
Me too
@Washer Dryer actually yes and by the climate too
@Sasuke Uchiha so by American you mean native american. Because there isn't really such thing as American
@Sasuke Uchiha You have some damn good ancestry
No. Red hair in Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales is much more common than in Scandinavian countries. According to genetic studies, more than 50% of Irish people carry the genes for red hair. It is a characteristic feature of the British Isles since long before the Viking invasions.
as a british irishfolk music was the best dicovery in the world
I absolutely love Irish music. 💛💛

I'm from the Philippines, and most of my teachers were Irish. And some of my Irish friends tell me that Irish people have very short tempers XD But my teachers were not redheads but they still had the accent and during International Day (i went to an international school fyi) I was taught basic Irish phrases and I began to love Irish culture and I want to learn more :DDD
