The nicest thing about these drives, besides the wide variety of 9-track formats supported, is the fact that it can read and write in both directions, at full servo speed.

See the big 1959-vintage tapes at the Computer History Museum in action (eventually) connected to their original computer:
    ua-cam.com/video/PwftXqJu8hs/v-deo.html
These are even older, using the 7-track format instead of the later 9-track, but 1/2" tape media is the same.

Est-ce toujours possible en 2018 d'écouter de la musique à partir de bande magnétique sur un magnétophone à bande ?

So, your druve is HVD, or LVD?

      Tape Drive is HVD

+againstmutans I'm trying to find LVD, so I won't have to mess around with adapters.
Also, it has two slots, one for cable and other for termination?
      What port does it use?

+SFtheGreat if your device is at the end of the bus the empty port must be terminated so that the signal doesn't bounce back.

+againstmutans I know, I thought to place the 9 track drive at the end of ribbon cable, ans use previous slots for internals, so I that the second port of 9 would be terminated.
I was wondering is this drive has 50 pin, or 68 pin port.

+SFtheGreat 50 pin ports. That's what I did putting the drive at the end of the bus and terminating the second port.

Why does everyone know enough English to write a description, but not enough to actually speak it? This video would much more informative if it had English subtitles.
