It was nice to see how someone else prepares for interviews! No matter how prepared I am I go into full panic mode 😅
What helps me is acknowledging the elephant in the room “I apologize for any nervousness, it’s been awhile since I’ve interviewed for anything”. Verbally acknowledging it really helps me!
This is similar to how I prepare - but first and foremost I take the list of role responsibilities from the job description and I bullet point them in a Word.doc. Then, under each bullet point I list all of my directly applicable experience related to each. When talking about each example, I use the SAR method: situation, action, result. Keep it clear and precise, but introduce the situation, what action did you take/what did you do, and what was the outcome? I also research on the interview panel members and watch videos/read website of organization etc. And ALWAYS have questions prepared to ask at the end. Good luck!
you’re never supposed to push like that with a gua sha. always a pulling motion with maximal surface area contact 😵💫
Out of curiosity… I assume that somewhere in the interview process your UA-cam and social media presence gets brought up, especially when the interviewer/company does their research on you as well…
What is your experience with that and how has it been framed (either in a positive or negative light)?
Great question I never thought about that but am also curious how they bring it up or the impact it has!
The last time I had interviews was in December and January. I was NOT okay lmao. I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t eat, I could NOT FUNCTION for weeks 😅 but good news! I got the job!!
Oh well done! Interview nerves are definitely a thing! I always get the jitters and once interviewed for a Staff Nurse role in Oxford. I took my last-minute trip to the loo and for some reason the door lock decided to disintergrate and jam completely and I had to be rescued!! Despite all this kerfuffle they offered me a more senior role as a Ward Sister (Charge Nurse) 😂😂🤷♀️
You definitely don’t seem like you were over preparing! I promise I do the same thing lol
I Love watching you go after your dreams … Your a winner no need to second guess yourself .
Your heart is in Helping the world 🌎 We are your cheer Team out Here . 🍀
We have such a similar way of preparing for interviews! I guess it might seem excessive to some people, but I love being able to take time to get into the right mindset and feel mentally prepared.
This is where you shine! So refreshing to see a content creator using her brain and doing something worthwhile.
I can totally relate to needing to write down example answers and questions because its so hard to think on the spot
Good luck!! I had an interview on a Friday that I thought completely flopped and on Monday I was offered the position. I've also had interviews that I thought went very well and I never got a second interview. You never really know unfortunately.
good luck to you on your job search🤍 I have a pet peeve of the interviewer not turning their computer on do not disturb, all the notification alerts gives me anxiety😭
Congrats on making it through the interview! Good luck with the process!!
Good luck Kristee! thank you for this helpful video.
You make my day every time you upload a video!! Thank you!!!
congrats on your interview! sometimes that’s the hardest part!!
Bad pancake theory is legit. Interviewed for two very similar jobs and didn't get the first but landed the 2nd. You got this.👌
Yes!! I always try and look up who is interviewing me beforehand, too! I love trying to get some insight to their POV, work experience, education, basically anything that we can connect on deeper than just the basic job requirements! Loved this video so much... I also totally feel the tummy knots.... the hardest part of each interview (for me) is showing up
I do actually have a final interview coming up and this popped up in my feed. Perfect timing. Good luck Kristee!
The very best of luck 🤞🇬🇧
Best of luck in your job search!!!!
What’s yours not even the universe can take it away from you! Sending good vibes 🥰
Best of luck! 💙 Love from Portland OR!
Hey kristee, great video as always. Quick tip, to have zoom on while still seeing your document, put zoom on full screen and make sure it’s toggled to speaker view. Then when you swipe back to your document, zoom is thumbnails on the side, which you can move around. Good luck worn finding the right job for you!
Good luck on your job interrview!!!
Hope it goes your way. Relax enjoy . you got this.
Thanks for sharing this with us!!
Currently prepping for my first interview in a new career. I found your video relatable and knowledgeable. Thank you for sharing!
The very best of luck 🤞🇬🇧
@@olbird7647, thank you!
I just had an interview today and have a final interview coming up in 2 days! Good luck to both of us in the job search!
I have 2 tomorrow. Thanks for the prep!
Also I ALWAYS feel like I get off on tangents and then I'm like wait what did they ask? Ha!
@@ashleyvick4411 You're not alone in that! The very best of luck 🤞🇬🇧
Good luck!
Thanks for the interview prep tips,!
I find the hypothetical questions to be the most difficult 😅
This will def be me on Tuesday. I get so nervous and stressed. I have an interview for a perfect position with my dream company 😬
The very best of luck 🤞🇬🇧
I am also jon searching because I relocated to Texas. I had an interview on Friday and I have no words! I won’t even call it an interview and not in a bad way it was just the most non interview like hour I’ve had but was mostly just a shoot the shit session and not in a bad way but not what I expected for an interview so not sure how that will work in my favor! Best of luck to you!
I ~just~ had an interview yesterday at 9am. It was the first interview I had in two years. Thankfully it’s for the same company I already work for so I didn’t have to research the company or anything. But! I totally agree, my biggest struggle in interviewing is definitely talking so highly of myself. I always feel like I have to preface the “bragging” with “I don’t like tooting my own horn but that’s what interviews are for, right?”. The interview(s - I actually met with the director too!) went as well as it could. I should be hearing back as early as Friday!
The first offer you receive on a house, usually is the "throw away/practice one" too. Or the first wedding dress you try on. Or..... 🤣
Not always, but I totally get what you are saying about the interview.
Do you ever get asked about UA-cam in interviews? How do you handle it?
This was so interesting to watch, I'm an engineer so my interview prep is very different
I lovedddd watching this! You’re definitely a choleric and I LOVE it hahaha
I really hope You get it!
Girl I go in private mode and LinkedIn stalk - no shame ✨
I have a very similar process for prepping to interview! I would rather be over prepared than under prepared. I’ve never had a zoom interview before, would you say it’s more or less difficult than an in person interview?
Out of curiosity do you talk about your UA-cam at all during interviews if topic of past and/or current work comes up?
Out of curiosity, do you mention your UA-cam in interviews?
I’m a teacher and was in a leave replacement position for the 2020-2021 school year. I am still looking for a job for the upcoming school year and have been on 7 job interviews so far. It definitely is a strange and stressful feeling going into interviews.
this gave ME anxiety
interviews make me SO SO NERVOUS! I usually interview for a position I dont care about before I interview for one that I actually want!!
I hateeee interviews
Yay!!!
Please be more careful with your guasha, especially around your eyes - try using a face serum or face oil to reduce the friction and be a bit more gentle with it
Hey Kristee ! What sites do you typically use to job hunt? Also do you know of any sites that specifically post non profit postings?
I don't know if there's specifically this one in the US but I use CharityJob in the UK for charity/non-profit roles.
Another way is to look up non-profit organisations in your area (or where you're prepared to move to) and check out the jobs sections on their websites/facebook etc,etc- you can often set up email alerts. Hope that helps! 😊
@@olbird7647 That helps allot ! I currently work for the government, and would love to get involved with some non profits...... even if it’s just small side assignments! Thanks !
@@justqueening4739 volunteering is also a good way to get a foot 'in the door' and find out about different organisations- good luck in your search 🤞😊
Use some oil on your skin first, and the gua sha stone should just lightly glide across your skin (you shouldn’t see your skin moving/tugging).
love you girl but your eyebrows look a little bit like seagulls
Why does she over analysis everything.
Probably for the same reason you spelled analyze wrong, sometimes you just can’t help it!!
