- This is a Factory Dodge Viper Powered Dodge Challenger, called the 2011 Drag Pak.
The Drag Pak is a turn key drag car for NHRA stock and super stock classes, with this car being #21 of just 70 produced, and sold new for $85,000 each.
Power comes from a specially modified 8.4 liter Viper V10 never officially rated from the factory, paired with a 2-speed automatic transmission and strange engineering 9-inch rear end, capable of dropping 9 second ¼ mile times.
Additional features include a specially modified body, lightweight components, manual steering rack, stripped interior, and more. - Авто та транспорт
I saw one of these Viper powered Drag Pak Challengers run at Zmax dragway one year. It was different but pretty cool.
They are pretty rowdy!
So a V10 will fit under the hood hmm.
Yeah, you wouldn’t expect that considering how big the vipers front end is to accommodate this engine.

I'll put this here you guys back in the early 90's the Chevy Caprice yep the box body made a one off prototype they stuffed a V-12 under the hood. Sad thing is this prototype disappeared without a trace. GM felt at the time that it was only a skunk 🦨 works program for a short period of time. There was also the SN-95 mustang prototype with the V-10 stuffed under the hood. Ford did dapple a bit with the dark arts of making outlaw but they only realized the had to dumb it down and stick a modular V-8 due to emissions. Dodge however has proven this makes one offs even better to have the perfect modern form of drag vehicle.

Love to buy one and slap some DEALER PLATES on it and cruise the local hot spot! Watch the jaws drop as that is WAY COOLER than the Helliphant motor!

That car has been painted. Fender and door are different shades of red.
I dont see that boat running a 9 second quarter unless it has a pair of 88s we don't see. The Viper engine is over 3" longer than the demon engine and that trans is not a light weight either. But. Its cool to someone.
You know I wanted me a V10 Dodge Magnum since they came out and now I know that I can do it with pretty much all Dodge parts.. oh yeah! Yep just a stock Dodge Magnum😂

Somewhat reminiscent of the Hurst-built HEMI Dart cars of yesteryear, which were purpose-built drag machines.
Has anyone else been able to shed that much weight from a challenger? That’s a lot of weight savings. 💯

Rather have this than the 2024 EV Charger Daytona Scat Pack...weighing it at 5,838 pounds and a lot slower.
