- Apple has been accused of not being as green-friendly as they say. Depends which green they’re talking about 🤑

The only green environment Apple really cared is their dollar and graphs, man
Apple cares man Dollars = plant growth C02 = plant death ! and thats a scientific FACT ! 😉
Apple still does more than Android manufacturers mind, which is bugger all.
@@tonyhawk123look up the Fairphone lineup (as an example) you peasant!
@@tonyhawk123Nothing is better than actually shredding working devices for profit on new ones
@@tonyhawk123"The opposite is doing worse so my bad is justified"
They might respond to their green lies, but they never respond to their green texts...
"Thete are no green lies in our products, well until an Android user sends you any text message."
-Apple (probably)
Sick burn.
Fun fact: in my mother tongue Tamil, "pacha poi", which means complete and utter falsification, literally translates to "green lie".
Interestingly, we have a similar saying in Malayalam 'pacha kallam' which directly translates as green lies but is synonymous with the usage blatant lies.
Interesting! In Korean and Japanese, the equivalent phrase is “red lie.” Doesn’t quite fit now, but it will once these companies’ lies about the environment light the planet on fire.
@@josephnevin I think they're from the same usage. 🤣
@@lintzy398 🤣🤣🤣🤣 they'll, most probably ...
No it's means raw lie. Pacha is green also means raw/fresh
Didn't Apple just go after a company because it didn't destroy perfectly good iPhones and instead made it so they'd kept getting used?
iirc here's the story:
The problem with the Daisy robot (the robot that recycles the iPhone's different parts to be re-used) is that the amount of iPhones it can recycle in a year is the equivalent to the amount of iPhone's that Apple sells in 48 hours! So Apple decides to send those excess to a company (for reasons you stated - to prevent these iPhone's from being reused) that was going to destroy it all. Some of those employees at the iPhone destruction center (recycling center, but they are going to be destroyed) stole some of those iPhone's that would be destroyed and sold it to the Chinese gray market (since iPhone's fetch a lot of money in China) and Apple mysteriously noticed that some of the iPhone's it sent to be destroyed were getting re-activated over there.
Apple was going to go after the company, but in order to look "green" they decided to not go after them since the lawsuit discovery phase would show how many iPhone's they destroyed 😂😂
Anyways, I'm pretty sure Apple will choose a different destroyer if this problem gets out of hand, and some of those employees will continue stealing lol.
@@JoySingh well that’s interesting. Sounds like a lot more robots are needed to say the least.
@@JoySingh Shame that we didn't get to know the numbers. And maybe Apple will just find a way to invalidate the iPhone via software, serial number, or something.
Yep, end yes they are obviously privacy focused noticing that
@@JoySingh I truly love being a human, self-conscious and all that.
But can't we call those people something else so the rest of us can not be affilieted with them?
That lady climbed the roof and said no charger. F7+k that. Say no new iPhones for 3 years, only then will you save planet
I can hear the shareholders screaming...
Literally ppl need to stop buying them lol,
As if Apple was the only company launching new products every year…
@@twenty1fettuccine no other company sent an employee to the roof to sell adapter separately
@@avinash7978 literally every company is shipping phones without adapters in the box. I will never understand why do you care so much about having a drawer full of bricks that are all the same from one year to the next…
"there, it's their problem now..." 💀
I love how this channel gives real, actual tech news while making me laugh.
Old news is good news
Beautiful video. Their brazen greenwashing is truly disgusting. 🤮
Yeah, I wish Apple was getting away with bad company practices way less
“Because everyone knows if you wanna go somewhere, you put the car into neutral”. 😂 absolutely hilarious.
It sure would go downhill fast!
@@drewzero1 what about uphill?
@@shabadrandhawa3829 Pretty hard to go uphill in neutral without a good push or a rolling start.
This "recycle iphones" thing also includes the case of GEEP Canada, which sold 100k iphones to China instead of recycling them?

My new watch came with the recycled band and very bad skin irritation. Probably from whatever industrial chemicals found their way into the waste stream that became that $45 band.
That’s always the primary issue of recycled plastic, only a few actually can be fully recycled.
It is also why many places do not recycle plastic except 3rd world countries, because of how dangerous it is.
Takes a of chemicals to break down plastics into something reusable. I'd be quite surprised to see if recycling is more than 10% better green wise than new products
You're a legend 😂 I've been a fan for years
A day with SamTime is a good day. Thanks for the laughs Sam
I'm so neutral that my entropy is zero.😂
not even gonna talk about how they still dump most of the returned buyback Iphones too?
People only care for the environment when it comes to profits.
Apple 🍏: We cares for the green, but the one with numbers on it of course!
Solutions: 1. Apple should consider including at least one adapter in the box.
2. Make Airpods repairable with replaceable parts
3. Lower the cracked glass repair costs
4. Make their cases cheaper and devices more durable.
5. Don't serialize the hardware component and make excuse of anti-theft
6. don't solder the ssd and ram on so that when customers realise that 8gb ram and 256gb ssd isn't enough they can upgrade instead of buying an entire new computer
@@Eren_Yeager_is_the_GOATLol if the SSD fails it renders the device useless unless you pay Apple to fix it which probably costs more than DIY. Making a device so easy to brick is the opposite of green, specially when Apple eventually stops doing repairs on their products when they pass a certain age.
@@protocetid It's just a scheme to get people to get apple care
Everyone knows that except Apple 😂
Fun fact: channel "Exploring the Simulation" made a video explaining the Apple's green idea of making less waste in environment thus making AirPods case unrepairable. Since the batterie of the case works only 2 years, you need to throw that case and buy a new one. Talking about "Green".
Just a couple of days ago Congo sued Apple
I think the whole planet will sue Apple before the end of the year. Except countries at war and those who control the market with massive subsidies.
They'll just buy Congo, they needed manual labor to make more iPhones anyways...
Soldering an SSD is NOT eco friendly.
So we can sell you the same old trash ... that got to me
The I phone 4/4S was the greenest and easiest to change the battery out at home and only took a few minutes and cheap to replace unlike all I phones after it.
I love plastic gardens
“Would actually look good again” had me 😂
thanks for pointing out what the "green" movement is all about.
apparently the recycling robot can work through "up to" 200 phones an hour, comparable to the tens of thousands doing child labor at foxconn.
Green in the wallet! 😅
Great video, hit the nail on the head with Apple, it's their smug manner in which they tout their greeness. When they're the total opppsite.
"same old trash" sick burn 😂😂
Why don't we take out the iPhone of the phone boxes. Less items to recycle!
them growing grass in Kenya. That is BS.
Tim Cook's net worth is around $2 billion dollars so for him tossing out a new iPhone because the battery is dead is nothing to him. He also can't understand why people complain about a $999 monitor stand desk stand.
Green with greed. The greedy Apple
This GREEN ENVIRONMENT prodigy reveals serious joke and lies buried in beauty. I hope this video is presented to the Green World Awards. If companies love green, USER"S REPLACEABLE BATTERY is an act of good will. Secondly, make repairing accessible by unscrewing products instead of forcing repair tech to pull out glued screen. ROHS is also another scheme to shorten products life so people need to repair more often, replace charger cables, etc. because they are guaranteed to fail before their useful life.
2:35 needs help. Give her an apple watch
You forgot that you still sell the chargers separately wrapped in more plastic
You are Tim Cook's Biggest nemesis.
Hot take: the recycled bands look better than the original ones.
Don't forget that side product of meat production is leather, that goes to waste if not used. There is a big difference between fur products and cow hide products. So why not use that cow and pig leather instead of letting it rot on dumps?
Apple are super green, in the bank lol
Great content as always 🎉
That "Mother Nature" ad is effing cringe. Imagine costume design for Mother Nature and all of them agreeing all black is good.
18 seconds let’s gooo
To be fair, the cows that are used to make leather products are huge polluters.... and Silicone is less polluting to make.
The cows are killed for consumption not for the leather, now the leather goes into otger products or gets thrown away
They even sued a company that they contracted to destroy old iPhones because they where selling them on the second hand market in China.
The next green step is to make all in one "parts" reusable, including "screens from laptop and AIO iMac, etc. More, make RAM and SSD reusable (again), instead of encapsulated them with CPU and throw everything away.
One thing I know is. The green that Apple love the most is dollar green
Apple's been selling us the same old trash since the iPhone 6.
You didn't put the shredder that a bunch of iPhones go into
"We recycle your old iPhone so we can sell you the same old trash."
I refuse to buy a new trackpad for the sole reason that I can’t change the batteries myself. My first Gen trackpad still works great and when the batteries go low I replace them and it’s as good as new again
It’s almost the 10 year anniversary of the Safari zoom bug. Apple still can’t fix it 😂 The one where little lines show up between DIVs. Can you do a skit on Apple bugs they never fixed?
I do not buy a new smartphone every year ... 😊
You know what they say, “green means go!”
Sam Tucker is a secret Apple fanboy. Change my mind 😎

@@solohalo2954 Dear young gentleman, I'm 85. We were invading Vietnam long before your mum was born.
They also solder everything on the laptops as "saving the environment", really what they're saving is money from people upgrading the laptops, so if you want to upgrade to 16 GB, it will cost you several hundred dollars, instead of 20-40 dollars
Unnovation is strong with this one
Well done Sam. This is one truly evil company. I like the way you expose the hypocrisy with humour. People will remember it for longer because of the humour element and hopefully put them off and force Apple to change and hopefully apologise to their customers etc
I put plastic bottles out in my back yard all the and there gone within a year
You sir deserve more subscribers and more attention! Awesome video!
I always wondered what it looks like if you make a something of cheapest toilet paper. Such a cute papier mache
Sending recycled love emojis ❤❤❤
Because Apple has decided to be green....... in the wallet 😂
Apple's HQ. Literally a walled garden.
The big difference between what these men wanted to sell to us:
Steve Jobs: -insanely great!
Tim Cook: -insanely green!
Imagine Apple's next Special Event tomorrow to be hosted by Mother Earth instead of Tim Cook 😂😂
That Tim skin joke burst me into laughter
No lies detected.
remember, all companies do not care about you...only money
the cat at the end gets me every time
They love the environment so much that they stopped shipping their phones with charging bricks… just to sell it to you separately for $60. You know, it’s green. Money is green. Apple is green!
My 6s+ is in a landfill. Battery replacement cost more than the phone.
The only green they care about is the green paper flowing through the transaction 💴
Hey Sam
Good lord, that freeze frame of Cook looking at Octavia Butler. Kinda reminds you he is just an old racist from Mobile. Kinda sheds some light on the stories coming out of that stupid wheel of a building.
GREEN IN THE WALLET HAHAHAHHA XD
Any time you near buzz words like carbon neutral and carbon positive, it''s always lies and a scam. Always ignore those.
Cow leather is always a byproduct anyway. Just make the manufacturing process carbon neutral.
If only companies could change to a 2 year release cycle instead of having to release something "new" every year with no significant improvement
Apple: These are not 'Green Lies', but 'I-Lies'. CHANGE IT>
Apple Cares❤
Sam "We recycle ♻️ our old phones so we can sell you the same old trash"🗑 😅😅😅😅
So accurate to iPhone users.
The only green thing apple cares about is 💵
Creating tonnes upon tonnes of ewaste is okay but god forbid we want to use a straw that doesn't turn into mush
At least with Dell you get a forced warranty with your e-waste.
You got the leather logic wrong. Just Google.
the recycled plastic specs have gotta be just fake, those are things you see less on 100% recycled paper(something way less expensive than an iphone)
what im saying is there making their products look like that for a reason, could be anything
but probably making people KNOW its recycled(while using extra paint which harms the environment)
(correct me if im wrong)
Carbon neutral…such a bs term
Reducing global death is very noble. Thank you Sam!
Leather is trashing the environment just the entire meat industry does.
Plastic industry is also to blame too - though it’s a little better. thing is - leather can’t be recycled and requires hundreds of gallons of water to create - so plastic is better - but not good enough.
After using the apple pencil to write notes down in ipad, i can assure you some good paper and a good pen is a better deal
They also recycled the SoC in their new models for about 3 years in a row now.
Wow, it took so many years to realize that apple is lying about being green? Wait till they will realize how evil apple really is.
Those apple watch bands colors are literally not because they are recycled. They did that on purpose so it looks recycled 💀💀. The colors look the same. Recycled bottles don't have that either.
The only green Apple cares about: 💲💸💲
Exactly
Hey Sam, an idea for you. At the end of each video keep the cat and the voice over, but add in a subtitle line with something completely different for each video. Start with "Subscribe Meow'.
Perhaps they should try to reduce the need for metals like lithium, so that kids in the Congo don't die in unsafe mines, and farmers in south America don't cull their cattle because they have no water.
Just a thought.
The problem is not that Apple lies all the time about their money-making moves like removing charger and headphones to be greener (actually to sell those to their fanbase at additional cost), the big problem is that other manufacturers copy all of those lies because they find them extremely convenient and profitable.
Am I the only one who noticed that the iPhone starts working slower when a new one is released?
Everybody is aware that apple makes their products slower every year. Apple claims its to "increase battery life"
Apple is apple green and money green.
I never trust the Tim cooook. When he bend his legs and say good morning. "it was at this moment. I knew that it’s bluff time."
Apple is really do good with their carbon
