- I don't own a real ES-335, I probably never will, but if you're in the market for an affordable option, the Epiphone version is excellent! Check it out in the links below. Several months ago I demoed the Joe Bonamassa version of the Epiphone ES-335, excellent guitar, but I just could see myself spending the $1200 for it. It did have a little bit better sounding pickups and bigsby, but the regular Epi ES-335 is a lot of bang for buck and gets pretty close to the originals.

I have an Epiphone Sheraton II, which is very similar to the 335 and it's my favorite semi-hollow that I own. My other is an Ibanez AM93 and it's nice but I prefer the Sheraton II. It has Epiphone's Classic 57 humbuckers in it. The case is awesome.
Bit smaller, but I have a 339, and it's fantastic to play. Even the stock pickups sound great.
Oh yeah ! Man that is one sweet guitar! And you were getting some sweet tone with that rig, too. Those pickups sound like they are SMOKIN! Congrats, Rich.
Some nice playing again Rich. I'm a sucker for a flame top ( so much nicer than a plain top ). Looks like you have the new headstock model. I regret selling my Epi 335 approx. 18 years ago although I don't think it would have had the same pickups. Guitar sounds good. Have fun with it.
Sounds really good.
I recently got the DG335 and I don’t know what it is about the style of guitar that makes it such a songwriter! Coming up with more licks every time I pick it up. You got a nice one there! Great intro jam.
Great vid Rich! I'm definitely going to have to get a hollow body one of these days! The majority of guitars I have are epiphones, love'em! Nothing beats new guitar day ! Great playing as always! 😎🎸🤘
Great job again Rick! Thanks for doing these demos for us!
Wonderful review , Rich! That baby is magic in your hands!
Thanks!
Incredible playing, super tones 👍
Great licks!
Love your videos! I was also interested in the Bonamassa ES335 because of the pickups, but I decided to get an Epi ES335 Raspberry Burst. I still need to set it up.
That is a great finish! Would love to see a shootout between the ES-335 and the P90 ES-339.
Guitar Center also has Epiphone ES-335 Traditional Pros which I think are a pretty good value. I don't own one since I tend to find ES-335s a bit too big for my preference, but I've compared them with the standard Epiphone ES-335s in-store before. Despite lacking the burst finishes and block inlays, they sound and feel just as good, are less expensive, and they have coil-splits like my humbucker Epiphone ES-339 Pro, which I always think is nice to have and add a bit of extra versatility. I also saw an Amazon brand called WestCreek makes a semi-hollow called the 333, which from reviews seems to be between the sizes of a 335 and 339, so I might have to get one at some point to try and see if I prefer something larger than my 339 but not as big as a 335.
Thanks!
Good afternoon, beautiful guitar in attractive color and great sound. Very well performed. Greetings Pavel CZ.👍👍👍
Great job Bish!
Thanks!
Used to have an 03 Epi dot. Just didn't get on with the slim taper neck. I think I read that they changed the "slim taper" profile since then, so I may have to give it another shot with a newer one.
Nice! You got the best looking one! I almost that bought that same one. But I decided to treat myself to a used satin Es-335 since I am turning 60 this year.
Good birthday present!
Epiphone have improved nice axe!🙂
Superb✌😎✌👌❤🎸🎸
I bought the chunky neck 58 IG 335 by Epiphone and really fell in love with it. That and a black guard tele have become my main two electrics....I did have the output jack on mine upgraded and put some flat wounds on it. Awesome instrumeent...that's a pretty one!
Tasty licks Rich! I assume you are having some time off from gigs for a bit-your playing sounds re-inspired amigo- keep up the good videos and playing!!
Yeah, had some time off for a couple weeks. I'll be back at it this weekend.
That shows you don't need to spend fortunes. Just practice and a nice tone.🤘👍💯🤟
Congrats!!
Love the color. I do find that the pickups sound very much the same. Not much dynamics may e? Might be how they pass through YT. Interested to know better what pickups those are. Ceramic or real Gibson burst. I just changed my t490s from my tribute LP to the Gibson 57s and they are night and day. Not that expensive of an upgrade. The other not expensive upgrade is changing a PCB wiring to hand wiring with orange or bumble bee capacitors and 500k pots if they aren’t already (Maybe 50s wiring?) Cause that guitar looks killer. !!
Great tones Rich! I really like my Trad Pro Epi 335 but i believe the pups are alnico classic pros in most these 335s
I think you're right. Thsnks!
Great choice IMO !!Has it got the Probuckers or Burstbuckers??.....always wanted a red one, lol.
They're the alnico classic pros
👆
I have had these new epis and moved them on. Reason is the pickups. Side by side the Gibson pickups are wayeeee better and the epi although good in terms of pickups sound dull and uninspiring, you can swap em out but to me its pointless. A good starter guitar though.
Sounds F'ing AWESOME! What effects etc. did you you????
Neural DSP plugin, Mateus Asato version. I think it was one of the Rabea Massaad presets.
Great Playing As Usual Rich Bischoff...Rock On!
anyone have the name of the elevated jam track?

They’re a bit on the heavy side yes?
I had a Sire H7 but it was just too heavy, beautiful guitar, great quality and playability; but just heavy. Same reason I ditched my Duesie CC Model, extremely heavy. I just don’t like heavy guitars.
The opposite. One of the lightest guitars I own.
@@RichBischoff I may need to try one out
