Tim Sheehan also you can do it without ult-ing ashiok - bounce the oath with Teferi -3, then replay it, then bounce it with Ashiok -3 (and exile your own thought erasure or whatever card teferi’s bounce draws) and play oath again.
At 22:30 pretty sure the play is to use Nicol Bolas copying Teferi's -3, not Teferi himself. Not sure what your opponent could possibly have to prevent it that they didn't mainphase, but there's no reason to let them cast spells just in case.
End of game one, I didn't know if the Stomps would work, and was just thinking, "Bounce Oath of Kaya twice with Teferi and Ashiok!" Beautiful gameplay, I've grown to really appreciate how skillfully you pilot your decks.

When I saw my first CGB vid, I did not particularly like the intro music. Now, every day, I sing, “Who’s good at Magic? Covert Go Blue,” in tune with the theme song, and I couldn’t imagine a day without it.
I'm at the beginning of the video so I haven't seen how this works yet, but I had a deck like this before rotation and with the new Ashiok I was excited to try and build it again (even though a lot of the good repeatable mill left), but I didn't want to spend all the wildcards QUITE yet. ALSO, I was just doing draft. I ulted my Ashiok and used it to get my OPPONENT'S ASHIOK (and two Mire's Grasps to clear their board almost completely). It. Was. Magical.
Y'know, it kind of cheeses me that Eat to Extinction is essentially a better Vraska's Contempt, with more mana flexibility and the surveil effect. Except that it isn't a surveil trigger, so I can't get synergy with Dimir Spybug and Thoughtbound Phantasm. It is better than Vraska's, and has the surveil effect without being a surveil trigger. Let me play surveil tribal Wizards!
Ran into this deck this morning. Thanks CGB... now everyone will be playing this super slow mess. After watching you play it a couple times, I knew exactly what was coming with each card played. It gave me a good idea when to bail out LOL
Duuude this deck is saweeet! It plays well and I didn’t realize how impactful exile is in this meta before playing this list. Uro simic is shut down unless nissa does nissa things. I only have 2 copies of ashiok 5 so I run 2 copies of ashiok 3 in its place and it works great especially against control.
I tried making an Esper Ashiok tribal with both Ashioks, couldn't get it below 70 cards so had to turn it into Dimir. It feels ok, but has only gone against simic ramp with Agent of Treachery or Azorious so feels bad :(
Well in the end I made an esper friends, 2 big Ashiok, 3 Narsset, 4 Teferi, 2 Small Ashiok, 2 Kaya (New Wifu, I love her in this deck), 2 Dream Trawlers, 1 spark double for the lols. All the rest are cards to help you draw like Medomai;s and cards to help you survive like oath, shatter the skies etc. Couldn't find space for Lilliana though.... Shame :/
I really wanted to use the three mana Ashiok in mine because it cucks all the fabled passages and the pod decks coming out, but I guess its just too slow. Gonna see how many cards i need for this version and give it a go.
This exile deck looks kinda fun... when I saw exile I honestly thought about Ashiok, Dream Render because the mill and then exile but aside of that, pretty cool deck :D
Ashiok is so GOOD. I have about 4 decks that I use often with her, Esper Standard, Dimir Standard, Planeswalker Standard, and Dimir Historic (the last one uses a lot of things that steals my opponent's cards). I've pulled Kaya's ultimate once (I only have 2, I usually win just from using my opponent's stuff with Ashiok and Thief of Sanity. And I also have Ashiok in a planeswalker pioneer deck on paper. I also have the 3 CMC Ashiok in each of these decks (minus the pioneer deck, she's in the sideboard for that one).
Yes and no. You only need one on the battlefield, anymore and they're useless. So you want to put in 4 to get it in an opening hand, but then you'll likely draw another or two, and they become dead cards. So you'd want maybe 2-3, but then you're chances of drawing them are lower, and getting it in your opening hand is as well. Of course, your opponent COULD destroy it. After all a ton of enchantment remove is being played. But playing another one in the hopes of it being useful just wouldn't be a good use of a turn. It might be a sideboard card, but that's really it.

I felt the deck is lacking something. The planeswalkers get answered very easily by both control and aggro, especially as you have to minus them most of the time to keep up. I played 10 times and found myself top decking a lot. Once you get top decking in a 26-land deck, you inevitably end up just pulling lands and falling behind.
Why no Unmoored Ego? I actually put this in a lot of my Dimir control decks because nearly half the decks on ladder have multiple copies of Nissa, Cauldron Familiar, or another key card that can be exiled to really screw over their strategy. It's also really good with Ashiok.
@@geekstar2937 Yeah, I've done that to a couple people. It is too slow for an aggro matchup, but it is absolutely devastating in control and combo matches (if you have an understanding of the key cards in each major meta deck). Basically you should prioritize the following: Fires of Invention, Dream Trawler, Cauldron Familiar, Nissa, Who Shakes the World, Gary, Ashiok, Kroxa, Dance of the Manse, or Expansion//Explosion.
Tell them to check if they left their decks in the car. I _dig_ this exiling. The hair thing, you kind of look like josh homme from QotSA at least on the miniature portrait of your video on my phone, just comb it backwards!
i didn't watch the video because i didn't have time but looked at the deck and i have one question: why didn't you add ashiok: dream renderer? it's cheap, easy to play, very annoying for the enemy (at least for me) and has a good passive too.

I played against a similar list with a jayce.. ended up stealing their jayce with 2 cards in my deck with an Agent of Treachery. Never felt more satisfied by a win.

I've done PT work with disabled folks, mostly cerebral palsy, but it's just that roller derby is the last sport I'd expect you to coach, as I always thought it was like female-only, I'm ignorant of anything else regarding the sport, bud.
It is 99% female only, so they need a coach because all the gals want to play, not coach. I have coached girls basketball, girls softball, and all my team members in the company I ran for 10 years were female. It works somehow.
