The thing that I like the most about this video is that there are numerous very successful coaches that are describing a number of different ways that they teach passing, but none of them are incorrect. One of the biggest mistakes that we make nowadays, is that we are too locked-in to a specific way of teaching when athletes learn in a ton of different ways. I believe there are no specific ways to teaching this sport. If an athlete doesn't get it the way you are teaching it, you need to search for a different way so the athlete can be successful.

Yes ! Thumbs together hurts so much for the young people.
Lots won't play because they don't want to hurt themselves. Using the meaty ball of the thumbs hurts less.

Amazing ideas, I loved the idea of the wide platform for more surface control❤

The trick is just to make sure to not push the ball too close to the net and you have to be facing sideways to make it go high. It HAS to go high to give them time to decide if they want to spike or just pass it.

+John Calli hi! I'm a noob in volleyball but I'm trying out for the team next year (middle school) and I've been frequenting around volleyball how to's, and basically watching people my age play the game. I've noticed that good setters tend to make no sound when contacting the ball, however I usually have a sorta thud sound when I try to set. What am I doing wrong?

+Jennifer C ok. Make sure that all your hand is NOT touching the ball. Only the tips of your fingers, your arms sholdn't be sticking out, instead a bit more straight forwards the ball. I'm actually going to seventh grade, and my school asked me to join the volleyball team for ABSH. Well, i'm a girl too haha in a randomly created account. Good luck!

I play volleyball, and my tip is to use fingertips, my coach always says HEIGHT=TIME Time is important so you can get a spike.
