Very nice demo. Can't believe they don't have a built in tool.

Great time learning this. Created a file with the geometry that works . Merged it with my part file with out the threaded holes . Applied the Sweep geometry to each hole (8 holes translated to )and swept the helix. It created a positive of the sweep ( didn't cut the main model) and went to Boolean and removed the thread to cut the main body! Sweet! Been using Mastercam off and on since '92 when it was a 2.5 D system. was a Catia user too but retired now building a telescope mount .

Alternative: Import a fastener, put it in place and boolean remove the common area.

The difference is my way is educational. And some threads are made to a different percent of threat engagement This way you can control exactly what you need. But if it is of no concern and you're not curious how a threat is made then I suggest buleon

Something I ran into, I was trying to make OD threads and it wasn't allowing me to select "cut body", and was generating a solid body instead of a cut.
I had to select a target body (pointer right below list of Types) after doing the Sweep operation, then click the solid I wanted to cut.

Same thing just happened to me. My solid was showing as so but wasn’t actually a solid body(I screwed up somewhere). Had to revolve my wireframe again into a solid.
