- Today in #MastercamMonday I show you some basics in setting up planes within Mastercam. In the example part, we have machining operations needed on two sides, requiring two planes with proper orientations. I hope this helps you at some point! #cncprogramming #cncsoftware #mastercam #cadcam
that's just what I need, simple, easy, short, plane English, no coughing, nice voice, straight up to the point. no bla bla bla, no technical words, just perfect for beginners.
I was looking for EXACTLY this... I must have watched 45 minutes of videos that more or less got me there but in a much less direct and concise way that left me a little confused, albeit with result. THANK YOU for the simplification! Subscribed.
I followed mastercam tutorial but this is so much better! Thankyou
Very nice, quick and to the point. Subbed.
Very well explained, understanding the concept was easy. Thank you.
You save my Life bro thank you❤
FRIGGIN AWESOME! Helped me out so much... question, once these planes are set, is it then that I can start associating toolpaths?
Yes, planes first and then toolpath
WOW!! That was very useful actually. I appreciate you sharing it. Being stuck home from work because of the "virus". :( this is a great way to keep the skills sharp. Another Subb here btw.
Thank you, I'm glad you found it useful!
EXCELLENT!
This helped me sooo much ! Question : in the bottom left corner I dont have the viewsheet 1 and operations tabs... Why ?
In the "View" tab at top, scroll all the way to the right to the "Viewsheet" section. Make sure Viewsheets are turned on.
Thanks !
Hi, can you share with us, what is the difference between Automatic and manual offset style? Thnx.
Very much useful...
Thank you very much Sir,
Master. Thks

❤
Tried many times but how did you typing on small box of arrows
Should make the second datum directly under the initial datum
Hi, I create a WCS according to my need, then when I set the view to top, the axes orient back to the way they used to be originally. I want the axes always in the direction of WCS I just created no matter which view I set it to. Why is it happening?
how to get the planes dialogue box?
what version it is?
I was wondering how is it possible assign a toolpath to a said plane and level. For example, I have a part that has a 2 pockets. One is smaller in size to the other and in the same plane. How do we assign a toolpath for each where the plane is same but the levels are different? Could you give some insight?
You set your plane based on how you have the stock mounted in the machine. So assuming your two pockets are on the same side of the part, you should be all good with the single plane. Levels are primarily used to organize, so simply make sure the levels are active when laying down the toolpath for each pocket.
@@CamtechEngineeringServices But when we click on the first tool path its shows both the paths for the created 2 pockets. How do we only see the specific tool path for the created operation?
@@geevamathew , On the left side of the Mastercam window in the Toolpath Manager, there is an icon to display only active operations. Looks like 3 horizontal squiggly lines. This option will display toolpaths for only the one you click on.
How about create origin to center ?
I am beginner, so the question is, how to rotate model in mastercam
What, No Indian dialect? How can this be?
