🎀Wishing you a speedy recovery from the Cayman Islands🙏🏽. I am also here recovering from a Latissimus dorsi reconstruction surgery, nearly 2 weeks in. The pain is unbearable, still can’t sleep in my bed, the recliner in the living room is the only place I can get some sleep and a bit of relief. I am also dealing with blisters. My plastic surgeon prescribed Tramadol, Ibuprofen, Paracetamol & Augmentin. I’m also dealing with a lot of self pity and secret regret😞. 💓💖💕

Had a double mastectomy (still trying to re love my breast after they tried to kill me). I finished radiation this year april and waiting to have implants but it's taking so long to get on the schedule thinking about going to diep flap.. keep pushing we got this! 💕

OMG I’m SO glad I stumbled upon your channel!!! I had a single mastectomy last June and also had to do chemo and radiation. I’m scheduled for DIEP flap surgery in June and I’ve been looking for someone that I can relate to that has gone through this. I’m a little nervous about the surgery but I’m looking forward to having a natural feeling breast (right now I have an expander implant and it’s so uncomfortable). You look absolutely fantastic!!!!!’
Thank you so much for your video! I have some many questions I don’t know where to start. You made me cry so much. I was diagnosed with brest cancer in 2019, on my left side. I had the lump removed and had radiation therapy… I opted out of chemo. I’m in the uk so we went into lockdown in 2020 which was me mostly recovering. Long story short, I had my yearly mammogram three weeks ago then called me back because they found an abnormality again in the same breast and said there is a good chance I’m gonna have to have a mastectomy. I cried and cried so much…. And the first thing I asked my doctor is, is there articles of black women like me out there who can tell me how it was for them, she said of course and to check out UA-cam and I found you. Thank you so so much for being out there and for being so brave to share your story, I feel a little better now seeing you and your positive attitude 💋💋💋💋
I was just thinking of you and wanted to tell you, that I pray that when you do look at yourself for the first time. With your new and healthier body that you see the beauty of being able to be there with your family for a very long time. The blessing and miracle of being able to be healed, AMEN!!!! LOVE Always🙏♥️😁
I'm so glad I found your video! I'm having the DIEP flap surgery this week, and was nervous about what the recovery would be like. I feel you about being nervous to look at your new body. It's weird because what you'll see isn't the same as what you're used to seeing. It's certainly not easy.
Hi PINKSISTER. Thankful to hear and see that all is going well for you. It is definitely a mental challenge for me seeing my scars and the abnormality of my current breast with the tissue expanders. It is a constant reminder of my breast cancer journey. Anyways, take it easy still and be careful with lifting things. Congratulations to the Winner!
Aww I’m so glad you’re feeling better physically speaking… I got a mastectomy yesterday and I’m scared for the pain to come… thankful for you leading the way, Brittany!
Hi Pink Sister I'm glad to see your recovery is going so well ! I took it a day at a time & focused on the progress. It is a long process for the body to heal, but the best part is the cancer's gone.God will continue to bless you 🙏

Thank you for telling it like it is! I am at 5 weeks and past the pain, still discomfort from the belly squish, but I had anemia and I sleep all the time, and today I feel like this will never end. But usually when I feel like that, it's about to get better.
You are still the winner & Congratulations to 🏆🏆🏆!Ihope you're starting to feel a feel bit better but it's going to be to a great journey but please share when can. Cheers!

Thank you for this, My Pink Sista 💕. My DIEP FLAP surgery is Aug 19th. I’ve had both chemotherapy and radiation back in 2019-2020 so I can definitely relate
Hi, after 8 years I’m now ready to go through with the reconstruct process using the DIEP Flap. I had a double mastectomy in June 2014. I have a consultation on 7/21/2022. Wish me luck
Best of luck pink sister! 💗 I'm excited for you to start the process. After having gone through it myself, I am so happy I did it. I pray that you will love the results as well. The recovery is not easy, but you already handled cancer treatment AND a double mastectomy, so I know you got this 💪🏾

Thank you for sharing this information. I am thinking about getting this surgery. But I am sure it will be rough since I had a double mastectomy way back in 2012. You are definitely a really strong person.
Hi there, I'm so glad I came across your page, I was diagnosed with breast cancer May 2020, I had a mastectomy also, I stil have not finished doing everything yet as I'm so confused, I wanted to have a mastectomy on my other breast and then have the fat taken from my stomach to my breast, I been told that sometimes the fat sags and all sorts so I'm not sure what I'm going to do but like I said I'm happy I came across your page. I'm watching keenly.
I can so relate. Not about cancer or radiation, but I had a breast reduction. That went SUPER WRONG! my left breast developed a hematoma and they did a second surgery on the left breast. To remove it. Consequently I lost my nipple, after the surgery that required the removal of some breast tissue. Causing not only the death of my nipple and even more breast tissue but also im grossly disfigured. I COULDN'T look at what was now considered a WOUND and not "my" breast! It took several weeks for me to look at it. And even then, I had my nurse to take a photo on my phone. It still really didnt register. I felt like I was looking at a stranger's body. I never got to enjoy the freedom of NOT having oversized pendulous uber heavy breast, because I was now living my own personal HORROR story. My right breast was text book perfect, of course with minimal scars, and now my left breast is now completely healed, my surgeon has decided to FIX my left breast by doing a fat transfer by liposuction from my abdomen, next june. I was kinda excited because I get a 2 for one!!! But I now fear I may get the same disastrous results! If not worse! LORD FORBID!I'll get my breast fixed and a flat tummy. I never wanted all of that though, in the beginning I just wanted pain relief for my neck and back from carrying huge breast. He says the inner tissues of the breast need at least a year to recover from the trauma. If I would have known things would've gone this wrong, I KNOW I wouldn't have gotten the reduction in the first place. I also didn't include I was in the hospital for over a month and in a rehab facility (nursing home) for 2 months. Because after that 2nd surgery I developed an infection in that breast as well. I cant tell it all, it would take too long. But I will say God saw me through it, and I know Hes gonna see me through the reconstruction next year as well. Just thought I'd share. Peace and blessings to you all God bless!🙏🏾♥️
I had a bilateral mastectomy and looking into getting diep flap surgery. I don’t mind my flat chest I just want a free tummy tuck 😂 looking at myself was so hard. But I’m totally used to it now. If I were single and dating I might be insecure but I have a supportive husband that loves the way I look 😊 during intimacy I still wear a top or lacy bralette because it’s weird without the girls haha I did radiation omg that pain was something else! I used Advil and a petroleum based ointment with vitamin e homemade by my oncologist.
I saw that one of your videos said your cancer came back. Idk how long ago that was but as a cancer sister, please don’t do radiation. If you ever have to do this again, don’t do radiation. It causes cancer and I swear they don’t explain this to us. If you can just do tumor removal then do that. If u need chemo then do that but don’t do the radiation, baby! Please! I hope you are well. Idk how to check my YT replies so I won’t know if u replied to me! Have a happy day, honey ♥️♥️♥️ May God bless you!
Im so happy for you Pinksister you look so good…. God blessed you ‼️‼️‼️‼️I had bilateral DIEP flat, so if you have any questions-for me, id be happy to explain my experience if it will help, remember to drink those green veggie drinks, it does really help with circulation..,❤️
Just found your video. I'm almost four weeks post diep flap surgery and I'm all over the place mentally and emotionally. I did not know how major/invasive it was going to be and the medical team tells me nothing unless I happen to think of a question. I know this video is from 2 yrs ago, but how long did it take for that pulling sensation to leave where your incision at your abdomen was? How long did you have to walk bent over with the walker? I was told today I may have to wear a binder long term for my abdomen. I almost wish I had just gotten implants since I did a double mastectomy since this was my 2nd diagnosis within 10 years.
I had almost the same thing you did. I had a mastectomy on the right and a lift on my left but I did not have an implant. They call it going flat. I did get a tummy tuck though. You look beautiful and your hair is awesome
Iam so happy for you!I knew God would take care of you ❤ I had radiation on my breast and it been ten months it's still dark and it ich. Did your brest go back to its natural color?
Hi there, you looked so good being just few weeks out of surgery. I am planning to have mine done but the op date seems to be a bit too close to my son's birthday party. May I know if you were able to be up and about outdoors by end of two weeks? I had a single mastectomy with chemo and rads few years ago too like you. But I am having a really delayed single DIEP Flap reconstruction. Did you end up with a scar on the reconstructed side now? My surgeon says there still will be a scar left even with the DIEP flap. Thanks.
Good morning, I’m new to you page. I’ve recently had the d-flap surgery. I’m going very well, my surgery was on July 24th. What would like to know is how many hours a day do you have to wear your spanx.
Thank you for your reply. Did you have tissue expanders for three years? I had bilateral mastectomies two weeks ago, tissue expanders have been placed, I start radiation next month and then DIEP flap surgery May 2025.

Praying for you! Was it recommended for you to have the DMX, or personal choice?
Hi my sweet so glad you are doing much better blessings to you, your looking so beautiful will continue to pray for you.🥰🙏🏿❤️
Hi there, I'm so glad I came across your page, I was diagnosed with breast cancer May 2020, I had a mastectomy also, I stil have not finished doing everything yet as I'm so confused, I wanted to have a mastectomy on my other breast and then have the fat taken from my stomach to my breast, I been told that sometimes the fat sags and all sorts so I'm not sure what I'm going to do but like I said I'm happy I came across your page.
I'm watching keenly.
I’m happy you are doing much better ……God Bless
So happy your feeling better🤗

I'm getting this done soon just waiting for docs call with date n I'm nervous to say the least mostly on the actual surgery part. Thx for video
Speedy recovery also you look Fabulous
Awww.... the puppies are soooo adorable! My son has been asking for one... but we'll see.
You look beautiful! Where do you get your wigs?
Thank u Jade. 😁 They are mostly from myfirstwig. Great quality and really easy to manage for newbies with wig wearing.
Glad you’re feeling better what long-term medication will you be on after this
I had a bilateral mastectomy and looking into getting diep flap surgery.
Diep flap was a doozy to recover from, but I love the natural look of the reconstruction! Go for it pink sister! 💗
You look amazing 🤩 !!!!
I used Bio-Oil for my radiated skin. It worked miracles for me🙏❤
I used bio-oil a decade ago, I may give it another shot! Thanks for the recommendation
Congratulations
Thank u °°°°
I had almost the same thing you did. I had a mastectomy on the right and a lift on my left but I did not have an implant. They call it going flat. I did get a tummy tuck though. You look beautiful and your hair is awesome
Praying for you dear. My mastectomy is done two weeks before. Wound not healed yet.how are about you dear
Praying for you too sister. Mine is not healed yet either.
Iam so happy for you!I knew God would take care of you ❤ I had radiation on my breast and it been ten months it's still dark and it ich. Did your brest go back to its natural color?
You look amazing
Hi there, you looked so good being just few weeks out of surgery. I am planning to have mine done but the op date seems to be a bit too close to my son's birthday party. May I know if you were able to be up and about outdoors by end of two weeks? I had a single mastectomy with chemo and rads few years ago too like you. But I am having a really delayed single DIEP Flap reconstruction. Did you end up with a scar on the reconstructed side now? My surgeon says there still will be a scar left even with the DIEP flap. Thanks.
I don't know what to say to you, lovely girl 💗greetings from Holland 👩🏽🦳🙏🏽
Bless your heart......🌹💯💝
Are you selling those pups? Oh my goodness they are adorable
Good morning, I’m new to you page. I’ve recently had the d-flap surgery. I’m going very well, my surgery was on July 24th. What would like to know is how many hours a day do you have to wear your spanx.
23 hrs per day. Only take off to shower and use the restroom is what I was told
How many months after radiation did you get the DIEP flap reconstruction surgery? Thank you!
It was about 3 years
Thank you for your reply. Did you have tissue expanders for three years? I had bilateral mastectomies two weeks ago, tissue expanders have been placed, I start radiation next month and then DIEP flap surgery May 2025.
