The Tuxedo - Black on Top and Bottom with that Grey got my ATTENTION. The Red High Lights with the Trim is perfect, or go Black Emblems for a more subtle stealth look. Easily pump out 450+ HP and 450+ FtLbs all day long on a TTV6. Keep the 2wd to AWD option along with a decent tow rating and I think you got yourself a WINNER.
I love the look of the current acadia at4 but it definately needs an engine upgrade. Even if it included the new 2.7L 310 hp and 430 lb-ft torque I think it would be a huge improvement. I would probably trade in my gmc canyon 4x4 3.6L V6.
Have an 09 Trailblazer SS, love it. The Explorer ST is a good vehicle, might add one of those in the future. I'd rather a Traverse SS. The Acadia on the short wheelbase platform is just not big enough. GM needs to make the interior a bit better first though, the moonroof should get swapped to the dual pane from the xt6. The turbo v6 from the old cts would be fine. But what'd be even better would be if they upped the tow capacity to 6k pounds. Either way, the platform is FWD based, vs RWD in its competitors, so that's a big downside.
All you have to say is twin turbo and the answer is NO! If Toyota can’t get twin turbo right in their Tundra what are the odds GM can? The same GM who wants to go all electric and yet they send letters to Bolt owners their cars can catch fire so park them outside.
Looks great and it’s a solid idea, the problem would be the price point. They have gotten so crazy with pricing, this thing would be 70-75k fully spec’d out
I've been waiting for GM to give us a smaller footprint SUV with some real power. I would certainly place my order today if it was possible. Good job with the content on this video!
NO, our Acadia Denali at 75,000 died . Engine timing chain stretched and threw piston into the plugs. I bought this SUV new in 2012 and it was meticulously maintained. I never missed any maintenance or oil changes. $6300.00 to replace with a remanufactured engine. At less than 1000 miles, one of the rocker arms came off and was rattling in the engine. So tell me, would you buy one??? I would not recommend it.
Those older Acadias and Traverses had a pretty poor engine design - the early LTT V6 was particularly problematic. The good news is that the new ones have a different and much improved (in every way) engine. Since 2016, all GM 3.6L V6s are the new LGX or LGZ, which have significant improvements to reliability, longevity, power, and fuel economy.
Holy CRAP!! I think that’s one of my favorite mock ups ever!! That thing is killer looking. Would I buy it? Yes, and I would actually wait in line for one. I HATE waiting in line, lol. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
I had a 1993 GMC Yukon 2 door. I moved on to having owned a VW, a Mercury, a Mazda, a Chevy Suburban, and a Ford Expedition. Quite honestly, I don't ever see myself going back to a GM product. The build quality coupled with the bizarre styling and government loan situation leads to to lean towards other makers. I just don't see it in the cards for me. Want a quality example? My GMC needed a new transmission around 70k. I traded it in on my VW around 140k miles and the transmission was slipping as I was driving to pick up the new VW! My 2010 Ford Expedition is on the original transmission.. at almost 220K miles! I would be on my 4th transmission in the GMC if things held! That is insane. I would lean right now to either the Dodge or the Explorer over the GMC here. I think there are simple better cars and trucks out there than those of GM.
GM products always look and perform nicely, but the build quality deteriorates rapidly in such a short time. And with gas prices shooting through the roof ......
I would consider myself more of a GM guy simply because I come from a Corvette family and currently own a C5. And yet when it came time to purchase a 3 row replacement for my jeep I did not for a second check out the Acadia or any SUV Chevy / GM produces, and engine wise nothing they have is competitive. They are old man and too momsy in my opinion only. Something like this GT twin turbo would go a long way to correct that. I bought a gently used 2020 Ford Explorer ST and love it. It has plenty of power, is fun to drive, and tows well. It has lots of capability, is on a modern platform, and gets reasonably good mpg considering its size and hp. The biggest thing is how I enjoy getting behind the wheel of it. The latest explorer gen is not without its faults but mine so far has been fine and I definitely will put up with faults which may come because I like the vehicle so much. My second choice would have been a Jeep Grand Cherokee L 3 row. But when I purchased almost a year ago, those were just coming out. For my same $50k budget, I would have been only able to afford a new Limited with the 3.6L. Now way worth the money with that engine. I also have spent a lot of time with what many would consider the segment leader, the Kia Telluride. That thing is front drive biased minivan with a cooler body. It understeered and handled like a pig by comparison to my ST, and there was not a sporty part in it. If you enjoy driving or have sports cars, and want a SUV you enjoy, that really limits your options. I hope GM wakes up and gets their groove on with SUVs like the other brands. I think they are woefully behind in many key areas, but especially the "gotta have it" factor for car enthusiasts. Their products are bland and rank mid pack at best.
Definitely a good rendering. It wouldn't take them much work to make it happen. Probably still won't. Unfortunately even as a GM fan, they aren't exactly listening to the customers that well. They are better now than in the last few years, but they really are still pretty deaf to their customers.
Nope. One, it's a GM. Two, it's a GM. Three, the Acadia has a lower than average reliability rating. The only ones that's worth a flip, the Corvette and the Suburban's. V8's..6.2 V8's.
I have the 2017 gmc Acadia slt,my question is,the 2020 and newer r they the same size inside or smaller compared to the 2017,I’m thinking of trading mine In for a newer gmc Acadia but the Denali
no way would I buy another... had 18 and it wouldn't let me put car in park. it wouldn't turn off til I got it in park. if I ever could. worse vehicles
Wife has a 13' Terrain SLE and I actually would like to get one fitted with the 3.6 to do some custom bolt-ons and a tune. Light weight reduction, wheels and tighten everything up. We have kids, I have a Lacrosse CXS and a Pontiac Vibe. I'd love a light crossover with about 350hp to the crank:)
While the 3.6 remains a workhorse, buyers of SUV's in this segment where the Acadia top trims land want more HP and TQ. I've had a total of 6, 3.6 engines in 3 Acadias, a Blazer and Traverse. This doesn't include 2 Cars with the 3.6. I can tell you that the 3.0TT in the CT5 is so much more satsifying. I'd LOVE to see the 3.6 TT applied more frequently too. With any luck we'll see upgraded engines with the Acadia refresh but GMAuthority doubts it. This is a long way of answering your question, but yes I would get one.
Any timing chain issues, phasers, or anything related with any of your 3.6s? Just curious cause I keep seeing issues on the net and hope I never have any with mine. I meticulously maintain mine hoping that I never do! Lol. Thanks
Definitely, I’d buy one. This thing looks amazing! GM needs to redesign the look of the Yukon as well. They would definitely take over the market because more people are looking for great looking vehicles that come with amazing performance….
I would get one also to a certain extent--but knowing GM they will ask 90k plus for this--and although I am well off--I set about a 50 to 70k absolute max when buying a vehicle cause I can buy them outright at that price.
Brother I’m up in the air right now for my next ride and I love the Denali Acadia and I was just telling my wife, why don’t they have an upgraded supercharged or twin turbo version of that v6 like they do Yukons with the 6.0 LS? I think this GT version would instantly out sell tahoes and Yukons if they had a GT model with upgrades galore including 4wd or AWD Min…
I have a 21 Acadia SLE v6. I know is called a modified minivan, but it is so fun to drive with factory stat of 310 HP. I also have an 02 trailblazer and have always wanted the SS. I would sell my house for a performance Acadia.
You talking about making a fwd suv rwd because the ats v is rwd. they would have to completely redesign that trucks drivetrain for that .and at that point I think it would be in the price point of the new 2022 Escalades
Will never buy another gm car my Acadia head 3 major transmission issues last one war 2 months back 4500 dollars repair quote and electrical issues sold it bought Honda 015 pilot solid build like a tank everything is solid inside while Acadia material inside is shit just push on any plastic it will start making squeaking noises . And new Acadia with shit transmission and now turbo good luck
Had a 17 explorer sport and was not a big fan of the twin turbo. The 22 Yukon denali we have has almost the same power and is just so darn smooth. You have to drive one to understand.
Have to disagree Shawn . I’ve had 2 explorer sports and just bought and new explorer platinum . No major issues with the 2016 sport or the 2018 sport either. This 2021 Will smoke any SUV GM currently makes

I probably would. Love my 2012 Acadia Denali and recently purchased a 2016 sierra all terrain. Not a huge fan of design but the get looks very appealing.
Tbss failed because of a recall on pistons and oil pan that caused oil starving... oh yeah there was a thing in 2009 known as a recession and depression people were killing themselves... and don't forget about crazy gas prices at the time...Outside of that it was an awesome performance suv.
Just stick a revised 4200 vortec in it with a stronger bottom end, better flowing heads, stronger head bolts, Mild cam, with a twin turbo setup.. That thing would sell like money.
I’m a total GM guy to the end, but GM truly needs to wake up and pop a red bull or something. They have so much potential to produce some amazing vehicles that would absolutely annihilate the competition in power and design. Sitting back and watching what the market wants then producing the day late dollar short GM version of what’s out there just gets by. Time to spark things up and start producing some of these vehicles and or packages that are more than just a different color wheel or some badging!
No would not buy GM ever again had GM in dealer for repair when they went on strike my vehicle was at dealer for I think around 2 months yes they gave me loaner that was half the price of my vehicle was told I would be compensated for being without my vehicle for so long but never got as much as a coffee as compensation they lied to their customers done with GM
Would definitely buy one but GM doesn't exactly have a great reliability record and thats one huge reason I and many others will pass...yes the first year vehicles tend to have some issues but Chevy , GM , Ford seem to be on that list more often than foreign...
Hey guy great idea but GM is not going to put a twin turbo in a front wheel drive based crossover, they would've already. They have these two great V6 twin turbos (3.0 & 3.6,) in the rear wheel drive based CT4 and CT5 but not any fwd based crossover. I think it might have to do with reliability issues? If thats the case then build a RWD crossover!
My family car is a 2018 GMC Acadia Denali. Mostly driven by my wife. It has been trouble free and good for our purposes. The car is a front drive platform with AWD added capabiility. If you went to a twin turbo you would need a primarily RWD based car with AWD added. I don't think that sort of a setup is currently in GM offerings that would fit into this package. With cars going to more EV and Hybrids....and cost of fuel I think this wouldn't be a great seller except to the hard core performance crowd. For me....i just don't see any SUV being a desirable performance car. I have a very fast sports car for that and it is a LOT more fun to drive. Adding a lot more power than the existing 6 cylinder cars have would mean major structural upgrades to handle the extra power. That would entail a lot of mandated crash testing so a very expensive road to go down for GM if they are only going to have this version for a couple of years due to EV push. Now if it were developed at the same time with a platform that could be ICE or EV that might be a sound move. I do like the 2018 interior choices of colors, wood decorations, etc. but the 2019 lost a lot of those choices sadly. The 2018 is also a bit smaller than the previous generation and why I got it....it fit in our garage ;-) That being said....the size of the 2017 version would probably be a better seller as the newer Acadia does have less useable space inside than the previous version. I live in S/E Michigan and know very well the issues all car companies are going through now trying to just get parts let alone deal with new designs and push for electricatiion (not fan of that).
Well? Would you buy one?
Of course.
I'm seriously intrigued. Brian your filling my driveway and emptying my bank account with some of these.
Yes, I think that looks awesome. GM should do it and they bring back the Typhon and Syclone name.
Attractive but i dont know, maybe a V8 ? Oh well i can dream lol
Can you lift it ✌️Maybe
This guy made more sense in a 6 minute video than GM has in over a decade.
haha I appreciate it Alex, thanks so much for watching!
That is a great job by C_ZR1. I would definitly buy one for the wife and never let her drive it.
😂😂😂
🤣🤣💯
🤣
The render looks cool but we know it will be boring when it hits dealers which means no one will buy one.
Lol
GM doesn’t have the balls but if they made one I would buy it tomorrow.
Twin Turbo off road edition too?

I have a 2023 AT4 Acadia and I love it. But that twin turbo GT would be a beast. Every color looked amazing. Let's cross our fingers..
Aren’t people buying chevys and fords sick of the recalls and mechanical issues yet???
Maybe if GM knew how to make a proper engine they can’t even build proper V-8 in their trucks anymore.

I would rather see the new Blazer in SS form since it already resembles a Camaro
Looks great and it’s a solid idea, the problem would be the price point. They have gotten so crazy with pricing, this thing would be 70-75k fully spec’d out

Isn't this the suv with the maintenance issues... water pumps, transmission, or something....
Ah, no thanks.....
I'd 100% buy one. I gotta have that two tone grey and black
What is a tuning kit that works for the GMC to give it some extra power
Buy one so they can recall the passenger seat curtain airbag sensor 1 month after release, when it’s probably already a problem. 🤷🏼♂️
How many horsepower is the brand new Arcadia GT is going to be & also where’s the led fog lights
Would most definitely buy one. GM has a chance to retake the performance truck game like they did with the TBSS.

Wonder how long it takes for the chain to fail on this one. Gm has problems making economy motors. For sure they should add turbos!
Gm transmission are shit as in garbage head 3 major issues in my
A mono tone paint job and metallic colors would look nice.
Definitely a good rendering. It wouldn't take them much work to make it happen. Probably still won't. Unfortunately even as a GM fan, they aren't exactly listening to the customers that well. They are better now than in the last few years, but they really are still pretty deaf to their customers.

I would buy 1,but is it all wheel drive tho ??? Just wondering

I’m even looking into possibly finding a minimum salvaged vehicle to do an LS swap in it with a 4.8L LS
Currently have a 2021 blazer, I would definitely buy this if it came out.
I would absolutely buy one. What do you think the starting price is around?
Hello Brian greetings from southern Ontario Canada would the GT be a six cylinder or 4 cylinder
no way would I buy another... had 18 and it wouldn't let me put car in park. it wouldn't turn off til I got it in park. if I ever could. worse vehicles

The Yukon is probably the best looking l full size suv on the market.
Is this based on the 2024 larger body Acadia? The 2-3-3/2-2-3 seating platform? Not the 2-3-2/2-2-2 current platform...
Brother I’m up in the air right now for my next ride and I love the Denali Acadia and I was just telling my wife, why don’t they have an upgraded supercharged or twin turbo version of that v6 like they do Yukons with the 6.0 LS? What is the mpg
I have a 21 Acadia SLE v6. I know is called a modified minivan, but it is so fun to drive with factory stat of 310 HP. I also have an 02 trailblazer and have always wanted the SS. I would sell my house for a performance Acadia.
Has lots of potential I would consider buying
What about the Tahoe RST?
You talking about making a fwd suv rwd because the ats v is rwd. they would have to completely redesign that trucks drivetrain for that .and at that point I think it would be in the price point of the new 2022 Escalades
Why does it have to have a v6? Maybe a TTV8?
Where can I get a 2024?
GM should make this!
I already have a 2021 GMC Acadia and I would only trade it for the 2023 GMC Acadia twin turbo engine in RED it’s a hell of a car I love it
Will never buy another gm car my Acadia head 3 major transmission issues last one war 2 months back 4500 dollars repair quote and electrical issues sold it bought Honda 015 pilot solid build like a tank everything is solid inside while Acadia material inside is shit just push on any plastic it will start making squeaking noises . Your content is sooooooo dead on and well done! Keep doing what you do!
Had a 17 explorer sport and was not a big fan of the twin turbo. The 22 Yukon denali we have has almost the same power and is just so darn smooth. You have to drive one to understand.
Well fords suck, had three and they sucked.
Not true fords don’t suck have 3 of them no problems at all.
Have to disagree Shawn . I’ve had 2 explorer sports and just bought and new explorer platinum . No major issues with the 2016 sport or the 2018 sport either. This 2021 Will smoke any SUV GM currently makes
I would buy one in a heartbeat. The Syclone and Typhoon where my favorites.
Two of the coolest vehicles ever!
🔥more more lol! Until EVs take over
gotta get it while we can!
rims by??
absolutely would. we already own an acadia at4, this would be awesome
Brian, is this an announced release or just a concept?
I do like that rendition ... I'd buy one because my wife loves the GMC Acadia and also the Chevy Tahoe ...
Sweet to have a Grand National in this format!
Yes, I would absolutely buy one! That looks great!
I’ll just throughout an idea:
Buick Enclave GNX!
I had always hoped GM’s Buick would bring back the Grand National in some form. If they wanted to make a move to a performance SUV, a GN or GNX trim level from Buick could cause a definite stir.
GMC could use this for sales honestly
ill take this or the ss but im leaning arcadia that blue color with black and red trim is sick it would be a massive hit!
We have an older one.
Ive seen how well new gm vehicles are built
It looks good, it sounds good. But that gmc emblem on the front let's you know it's built like trash
2011 GMC acadia for sale
Low Milage, good tires. Please take this junk away
GM needs to see this 👀👀👀👀👀👀
Nice concept..but GM won't do it. We would most likely get a GMC Acadia EV as everything is shifting to electric.
Looks slick! 3rd row?
I probably would. Love my 2012 Acadia Denali and recently purchased a 2016 sierra all terrain. Not a huge fan of design but the get looks very appealing.
Yes I would absolutely buy one for my wife!!!!
Tbss failed because of a recall on pistons and oil pan that caused oil starving... oh yeah there was a thing in 2009 known as a recession and depression people were killing themselves... and don't forget about crazy gas prices at the time...Outside of that it was an awesome performance suv.
Never clicking on your videos again. Unless a vehicle you start asking me “if i would buy one” actually goes into production
Own one and would turn it in for one of those...definitely!
Hellz yeah that blue is AWESOME 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Build it GMC .... I will trade in my 2021 Acadia Denali Tomorrow 👍🏿
Yep the Trailblazer SS was one of the first hotrod sun's, I think the first was probably the Durango rts. I could be wrong though
Just stick a revised 4200 vortec in it with a stronger bottom end, better flowing heads, stronger head bolts, Mild cam, with a twin turbo setup.. That thing would sell like money.
Price???
Dang that looks good. Just make it awd and it’s a win
Why is GM adding $5k-$10k above MSRP and calling it market adjustment?
GM isn't, dealers are. I actually created an entire video about it here - ua-cam.com/video/coxj6JucXnA/v-deo.html
I would buy one absolutely, an amazing yet a simple tweets by the artist 👍
Yes, the wheels looks much better on the Acadia than on the Camaro 💯
Crazy the difference a set of wheels and some color changes make! Thanks for checking it out!
yea, you love the concept creator. so do we. he/she did a great job. maybe give them a shout out?
I would most definitely buy one. That one with the grey and black roof is 🔥🔥🔥
Yes. Give it a nice interior as well and great handling. Im in
My family car is a 2018 GMC Acadia Denali.
Definitely would love to get my hands on this if it were available.
I’m a Ford guy , but that’s not a bad looking suv , I like it .
tahoe ss and arcadia gt would be a big W for gm. i have a modded 97 2dr tahoe and would love to have a new model sitting next to it
