    No rolling coal, no mirrors flipped up with out a trailer, no C sticker in the back window, no stack......Just pure turbo diesel pulling power, no bullshit. For that sir, I applaud you.

      +VK70001.P because dodge doesent make cummins? There isn't enough population in Iowa to make a difference. It's only important because it's the first and and it's a caucus state. Do you understand the way the country works? Obviously not. States are different. Iowa has a small anoint of value in the long run, aside from the liberal media telling you it's important when it's actually not.

    If you read all comments we have scales and they average 1000 each why is that hard to believe it takes 20 square bales to make a roll. if each square was small at 60lb each that is still 1250lbs. so 23000 hay plus 8600 trailer is 31600 not to mention the 7800lb truck So you can see my 30k is a low estimate if ya wanna add the truck it would be closer to 39k 30k is a very fair claim

    This is one of the best 12v videos on UA-cam. Why? Because it's a 12v 3500 with a heavy trailer pulling weight with no issue. No extra bs. Not another guy trying to just run their mouth for 20 min while they are in the driver seat or talk about mods, etc. I was looking for 2nd gen 3500s pulling weight, and there's not as many out there.

    happy huntin hope you find a good one. things to look for in a truck make sure kdp"killer dowel pin" is fixed . if you get 4x4 check u joints on both front stub shafts. auto trans will need beef up before any engine work. manual trans syncronizers and fifth gear nut should be upgraded but not a must.

    Sure do like the 12 valves. I have a 96 2500 regular cab automatic and I like it a lot. always wanted a 12 valve dually but i had a 2nd gen 24 valve and liked it pretty well, now have a 2008 6.7 dually and like it pretty good except for the mileage is terrible compared to 12 valve or 24 valve 2nd gen. Very nice truck in the video and sounds sweet.

  • @bigstretch100
    @bigstretch100 12 років тому

    The 6BT is non-intercooled. The 6BTA IS inter-cooled.
    If the engine will be installed in-board and want one with an intercooler (best way), you will want to get one that has a water-to-air intercooler (WJAC) mounted on top of the air intake on the engine. They are used in ag and industrial applications. The WJAC can be added to engines that came out of the Ram trucks, too. Will need the cooler, and different high pressure fuel injection lines (they are made to go around the cooler).

    Oh the truck will take off really well with that type of load. but the field is not that smooth and none of this load is tied. so we just eased out of the field . like the previous post talked about the problem is when you want to stop that much . You Have to make sure your trailer brakes are tip top shape. we normally will not go over 17 bales any time we are on the road just to be safe.

    6 (6 cylinder) B (b series engine) T (turbo'd) A (after cooled)
    Until they came out with the 6.7 , all the 6 cylinder engines were 5.9L displacement. they also make a 3.9L and a 3.3L in-line 4 cylinder for light-duty service vehicles. (bread trucks, delivery, etc)

  • @Mantis858585

    Cummins are inline 6 cylinder, and tow great. You can get more torque out of an inline 6 than a V8. Got out and find an 18 wheeler running something other than an inline 6 diesel.

  • @Dexter_Solid
    @Dexter_Solid 12 років тому

    All the 800ftlbs torque 1 ton trucks have autos. The manuals are 610ftlbs torque, and are also rated lower on towing. Manuals offer greater control, but modern autos don't really hurt fuel efficiency, especially 2011 and onward models, where fuel efficiency is the name of the game. Anyways, the reasons come down to spiral bevel shifters in manuals vs. planetary gears in automatics, planetarys have more contact and can handle higher torques without a large increase in weight.

I have been to the quarry scale with my trailer behind me and it weighs in right at 8k. I don't know the dimensions on the steel of my trailer but it looks beefier and longer than yours. I honestly didn't know that those hay bails weighed that much. I have seen trucks pulling almost that much down the road before but it was probably 18-20k pounds and not this much.

    Just for the record after seeing a few comments. I dont wish to misslead. This video was taken with truck in 2wd in first gear. There seemed to be a question about that out there.

    just for the record since there has been some discusion about cummins v6 and v8 in dodge trucks . I have verified through cummins and through dodge the v6 and v8 engines they where researching never made it to production. So if anyone out there has one that they claim is factory they better put it in a museum because it is one of a kind. That does not mean that someone did not put one in after the fact but it is not from the factory verified from dodge and cummins
