Does the screw have to be mounted on the stud? I'm totally new to this and on my first installment of the tv mount I didnt know i have to screw it into the stud
For our small sound bar we don’t mount to a stud. Just make sure you use drywall anchors. If your soundbar has a lot of weight , you will want to see about mounting tong to a stud. Hope this helps

Thanks for watching. The cost of the soundbar and subwoofer was around 100, the installation hardware was pretty cheap on Amazon. Around 15 bucks.
