No worries everyone! I have a ton of cashmere sweaters from the thrift stores, I bide my time, keep checking and there they are! Just got a lovely grey striped one, a midnight blue one from the men’s department, in all colours and sizes….. no one has to pay full price for a cashmere, which should NEVER be dry cleaned, washed in a machine on gentle or by hand, hang on a rack to dry and pull off the pills when damp or get a cashmere Comb which is so cheap! There is always another way, like wool pants, no one wants them, but they are easy! And Warm, and Classic! Happy hunting from Georgia in BC
Very good. A suggestion please. A lot of women work. When we are at our jobs, we do not have the advantage of a coat or a handbag to add or accent an outfit, nor do we need a heavy blazer as outerwear. We need a look that "stands alone". Many thanks.😊
Of course, yes. We don’t wear a colorful, warm scarf indoors, carry a handbag, or have an outerwear layer. Outfits must generally be for inside in the winter, or once we reach our destination.

Of course, tight clothing is even worse! Clothing that skims the figure & also has some flair looks good on almost everyone.

I love that green knit scarf. I loooooooooove wool scarves. A sleeveless dress + flats + knit scarf look is my favorite outfit. In fact, I leave my scarf on all day even though it gets uncomfortably hot (totally worth it).
I love the collared, V-neck Polo sweater more than any other style and got it in multiple colors while they’re available. I love an open neckline and this is a very classic style. The shorter the sweater, the better, in my opinion, I like them just covering my waistband.

I notice that you wear a lot of “oversized” pieces and looks in many of your videos-and it looks great! You make it look casual and elegant without looking sloppy or lazy……and I would love to hear your secret for this! You appear to be similar in size to me but when I choose oversized looks they are usually too long in the arms or just look overwhelming. Thanks for your hard work to help us. I just put together a bunch of ribbon in the colors I plan to wear. Now when I go through my clothes or when shopping I will know what is going to fit with everything else. I too have found cashmere at the thrift store, but I don't go very often, so it was worth getting two on sale during black Friday sale. The whole point of capsule wardrobe is very few items of best available quality. I have a very casual life, but I can still incorporate your ideas. Even a trip to the grocery store or doing laundry is nicer when I look good. Dollar Tree baby shampoo is great for cashmere. Very gentle. So grateful for you.

great video! one of my biggest problems is i have many more pants than tops. i love funky style pants, colorful pants, and jeans. but tops - ugh i don't often find many i like. i tend to wear an extreme amount of white tops - t's, tanks, button downs, etc.
I have several of these items, Lily Silk is one of my go-to brands. I have the knit dress in “white” (it’s really ivory, protein fibers like silk and wools can’t be aggressively bleached to true white).
This was terrific ... really enjoy how you approach designed capsule wardrobes. Do you suppose you might be able to create let's say 4 capsule wardrobe basics, one each for the four basic body types: Apple; Pear; Rectangle; upside down Triangle? Dresses are hard for me to wear as a basic and perhaps for others. Your dress is so perfect for your body type and easily accessorized/combined. Thanks for producing these videos!

I dress capsule to save money, elevate my look, and simplify my days. Once you begin, going back to "outfits" is not an option. I was blessed with a lightweight cashmere sweater from Neiman Marcus...in classy black. A thrift store sleeper for about $3. Less is more when you follow this video. Learn what accent colors look best on you. If it's pink, then add accessories, scarves, and blouses to add a pop of color. Always keep a black dress handy, which offers endless styling options. It's always preferable to wear a few pieces of fine quality jewelry/watch, than several matching cheap pieces. Save for a statement watch like Movado. Go for one stunning ring instead of multiple low quality rings. Same with earrings, bracelets, belts, scarves, and even shoes are essential to elevate your style. Overall, capsule dressing is fun and easy. I'll never go back!

I love that green knit scarf. I loooooooooove wool scarves. A sleeveless dress + flats + knit scarf look is my favorite outfit. In fact, I leave my scarf on all day even though it gets uncomfortably hot (totally worth it).

I love the collared, V-neck Polo sweater more than any other style and got it in multiple colors while they’re available. I love an open neckline and this is a very classic style. The shorter the sweater, the better, in my opinion, I like them just covering my waistband.

I notice that you wear a lot of “oversized” pieces and looks in many of your videos-and it looks great! You make it look casual and elegant without looking sloppy or lazy……and I would love to hear your secret for this! You appear to be similar in size to me but when I choose oversized looks they are usually too long in the arms or just look overwhelming. I would love to know how to be able to make pieces like this work; I hope you will consider discussing this in the future.

Thanks for your hard work to help us. I just put together a bunch of ribbon in the colors I plan to wear. Now when I go through my clothes or when shopping I will know what is going to fit with everything else. I too have found cashmere at the thrift store, but I don't go very often, so it was worth getting two on sale during black Friday sale. The whole point of capsule wardrobe is very few items of best available quality. I have a very casual life, but I can still incorporate your ideas. Even a trip to the grocery store or doing laundry is nicer when I look good. Dollar Tree baby shampoo is great for cashmere. Very gentle. So grateful for you.

great video! one of my biggest problems is i have many more pants than tops. i love funky style pants, colorful pants, and jeans. but tops - ugh i don't often find many i like. i tend to wear an extreme amount of white tops - t's, tanks, button downs, etc.

I have several of these items, Lily Silk is one of my go-to brands. I have the knit dress in “white” (it’s really ivory, protein fibers like silk and wools can’t be aggressively bleached to true white).

This was terrific ... really enjoy how you approach designed capsule wardrobes. Do you suppose you might be able to create let's say 4 capsule wardrobe basics, one each for the four basic body types: Apple; Pear; Rectangle; upside down Triangle? Dresses are hard for me to wear as a basic and perhaps for others. Your dress is so perfect for your body type and easily accessorized/combined. Thanks for producing these videos!

I have been trying to figure out how to put together a capsule wardrobe with interchangeable pieces that will go a long way. Took a close look and discovered that I have a lot of black and white with red thrown in and some oranges. So, I’m thinking that’s a good start.

I am an autumn color way. I cannot wear black. No matter how much makeup I wear it completely drains ALL THE COLOR from my face. Yes! Navy instead of black is a very good way to have safe dark. And did you try dark chocolate brown, or a very dark bottle green?
For me Anthrazit works perfekt! Not many items are offered in Anthrazit....but it's worth looking for it.

I dress capsule to save money, elevate my look, and simplify my days. Once you begin, going back to "outfits" is not an option. I was blessed with a lightweight cashmere sweater from Neiman Marcus...in classy black. A thrift store sleeper for about $3. Less is more when you follow this video. Learn what accent colors look best on you. If it's pink, then add accessories, scarves, and blouses to add a pop of color. Always keep a black dress handy, which offers endless styling options. It's always preferable to wear a few pieces of fine quality jewelry/watch, than several matching cheap pieces. Save for a statement watch like Movado. Go for one stunning ring instead of multiple low quality rings. Same with earrings, bracelets, belts, scarves, and even shoes are essential to elevate your style.
Overall, capsule dressing is fun and easy. I'll never go back!
