He just walked in like he owns the place 😂
Lol the squatter law... If you squat long enough it becomes your place
That's kina what birds do. They have no shame and no chill. If they want something, they're gonna get it.
And it looks like he does. Kudos to the little guy.
I remember that I was camping in my trampoline with my best friend and in the morning I saw a yellow thing on my feet and my best friend trapped it it was a budgie and I was just happy because I had 2 others and I was so so so happy😊
Pfizer: "ohh yes a wooden floor, this a nice house & a nice family....now if I can have some seeds chap chap , I might stay here & grace you with my presence"
Someone who took well care of the bird probably lost it, or it accidentally flew away, that's why it's so friendly. It's actually so cute I can't-
Yet he or she didnt gave a fck, cause not a single reach out from the owner

That’s a budgerigar. Judging by how tame he is, he’s definitely a lost pet. It’s sad somebody didn’t get this sweet little man back. But thank you for loving him and giving him a great home. He’s definitely in good hands with you.
Yeah, but the previous owner didn't make much effort to get him back if they announced it on FB groups and left him to Humane soceity for 2 weeks.
I got my first cat in a similar way, I put up signs, I called it in to the police and waited for months to hear anything before I said, "she's mine now"
Budgies can fly. They probably figured he was a lost cause.
Is it not a cockatiel? At first I thought conure but no
I have a conure and I havey place so secure as I don't clip his wings. That bird is lucky to be alive as they are not outdoor birds in our climate. If I lost mine, omg my life would not be the same
Ps the humane society had no right to take that bird away then make u pay to adopt it back. That's crazy! You found and looked for owner which was the right thing to do
The fact that he knew he found the perfect family shows just how intelligent animals really are.

I'm Australian, that's a budgie and they're a desert bird from central Australia. Looks very tropical but doesn't it. The native ones are pretty much all drab olive green, AWESOME personalities once domesticated, hence their global appeal. If above the beak where the nostrils are is blue, it's a boy, but if it's brown it's a girl. When they're still quite young it's hard to tell.
You're right but we call them parakeets in the USA
Budgies are very popular and probably the most common bird selected as small domestic household pets 🐤🐤
@@Mulva_ if I recall, the budgie is a little bigger than the parakeet, same family though
@@fairygodmomma2313 Actually it is just two different words for exactly the same bird family. I just looked it up online and now I feel very clever, correcting you about it.
@@cscoetzee 😂😂😂😂😂👌👋😁
He is not a tropical bird, he is a budgerigar. They come from the deserts and drier parts of Australia. When you see them by the thousand flying over the red sands of the central desert at dusk, it's a magnificent sight.
Actually some budgies do live in tropical areas in Australia! They really are tropical birds.
@@Octavia_Goetia_666 Lol, I live in the tropics, in Australia, no budgies here. They come from the central desert area. Big beautiful flocks of them feeding on the native grasslands early every morning. A wonderful sight to see, but not in the tropics, and i've lived in all three states of Australia with tropics. You might occassionally see them in cleared coastal regions heading up towards Cape York, but without human habitation they wouldn't be there as they are a grassland/ woodland bird, and not in flocks of thousands, tens of thousands like you do around Uluru.
@@delishme2guess I was misinformed lol. Google you suck!
@@delishme2They're still parrots so I think they're still technically tropical? Even if they don't live in the tropics? Idk lol correct me if my reasoning is wrong
Parakeet.

The bird was like "Oh hey nice home you got there, mind if i can stay here forever" 😂 💕
As a Dad to teo of these little beauties you can't imagine how happy this makes this unrepentant bird nerd. Too many parrots, of all types, end up in terrible situations because people buy them on a whim or without researching them. People don't understand the commitment it takes to own a parrot so they all too often go neglected. Seeing this video brought tears to my eyes. The little guy seemed to know the right house to go into! I wish them many years of happiness with this little bundle of joy.
How much people time should they have a day? Like, to be happy and bond. I work a lot but have always wanted to home a few of these. I know I can't do bigger bigger birds; but might have space for 2 or 3 of these guys.
Bird nerd? 😅.... too funny. Birds are awesome so nerd out all you want.
So true!
I have horses, and have been researching birds for years.
I eventually want to have one, but I want to give the one I have the highest quality life (which requires research)
If people did this before owning any animal (dog, cat, bird, horse) there would be less animals in need of shelters.
I wish to parrot what this guy is saying, good luck.
@@kateb5233 is really hard to make a horse fly. Why would you do that?
For some reason I can see him going from house to house until he got the right vibes..... 😊❤
Budgies are so underrated, they really have a big personality.
The budgie is like... **Hell no living in the wild, this is my new home!** 😂 Smart little baby, knew where to go after being lost 🥰
A very fortunate parakeet. Y'all did everything right. May he be forever happy.
Except for naming him Pfizer
@@utubeisazzhoe1413 I was here to say that but some have no idea, nevermind 😉 great family.
Budgie not parakeet
The second I saw him I knew he was a budgie
@@Julia.Taunton-Clark99 Yep, but they are also known as parakeets in American English.
He's clearly very tame that he just walked into a house with people around and didn't flinch or fly away.
My budgie Sweetu flew away back in the 1990s and my parents asked around the neighbourhood but had no luck finding him. A domesticated bird like him couldn't survive the cold British weather so I just hope wherever he went, that he was able to find a nice family like yours and a nice place to call home.
I know in my heart that the domesticated budgerigar is so intelligent that yours found its way to a good human!! Animals know to get help when in trouble or hungry! Our very first budgie girl was caught by hand by my husband after she appeared by our feet while we were out feeding fish bread crumbs off of a pier!!
Amongst sparrow and zebra doves that were around us to collect fallen crumbs, she really stood out in her white wings and apple green and yellow feathers! He just crouched down and she ate some bread crumbs from his hand and with the other he gently but swiftly grabbed her!!!
She is home with us for almost two years now along with a companion new baby blue boy budgie who are just perfect together!
I know your baby is in a safe and warm loving home too🥰
Great video, ty. When I was a youngster, a male budgie flew in through the open window of our 3rd floor apartment in Glasgow, Scotland. Clearly domesticated and full of character, he quickly became a greatly loved pet. When he finally passed, our family was devastated. RIP Joey 😢
What a beautiful story!! He knew exactly where he was going to find his perfect home!! 💕
When I lived in Kuwait a little blue budgerigar flew into my wife's boutique. He must have escaped from a family home or allowed to fly away. No matter , we brought him home, named him Houdini because he's escaped somewhere and gave him the run of the apartment. He live 7 years with us.
We sent him out to sea with a mini candle in a toy boat to light his way to heaven.
😢❤beautiful story

Beautiful
I'm in Kuwait now. Most of the bird owners let their birds fly off and return. I don't know about the small ones but I've seen bigger ones leave the flat come back later in the day.
John Davies, what's to do happened to this bird?
I'm Australian. Budgerigars or budgies as we call them, are native to Australia. There are thousands of them in the wild. They are a common Australian pet, like a hamster would be for an American and yes they are lovely. So glad he found a good family to care for him ❤️
They are the most popular bird so yeah

This is exactly the same story as my yellow canary bird, he was the sweetest and I called him my brother, we had him for about 5-6 years until he passed away, we cried a lot and all our relatives and friends were sad too, I still think I will meet him again some day in some form 🙏🏻♥️🐤
Similar thing happened to me when I lived with my parents when I was younger. Owner wasn't found and we ended up being her family. It was a little yellow parakeet. She was our little piece of sunshine
similar thing happened to me too when I was a kid,I got a parrot near my window and one day a tropical bird came inside our house ,we decided to keep him because we don't know where his owner is ,the same day we bought a cage for him,he stayed at our house for 2 days then LEFT 🤣 he was so smart that he knows how to open the cage,he didn't want to become our family he just came to visit 😅
Head bobbing is a good sign of happiness. Thank u so much for caring for this little baby
A tropical bird ahh bless the budgie.
That's an unimaginable level of trust coming from a parrot.
I love that you don't keep him in a cage, he's free to fly and interact and bond. This is awesome ❤️
I do too but how do you keep the house clean? Wouldn't he poop just anywhere?
@@0thyme he would bird owners just have to clean up after them
I upgraded the cage my 2 lil guys to a larger one that splits open on top for perching and in front. They never wanted to come out. One has passed away recently so I have one lonely guy that I have to force to come out and play in front of a tablet with UA-cam bird videos. And he won't let me hold him either 😢
It might be time to think about getting him a new friend.
he should be supervised when outside of the cage anyway so youd have to keep tabs on the poop and clean it, thankfully for budgies its not hard at all to clean@@0thyme
Both you and the little bird was so lucky he came into your home. You because he basically claimed you as his family and you because such a sweet, adorable baby entered your life and totally loves your family unconditionally. Your family is definitely blessed by his presence and love.
Hello Joyce, how are you doing today?
That's an incredibly well trained tame budgie, it definitely had to be hand raised and have had a loving family for at least a while... sadly a lot of people see them as disposable and throw them out when they become inconvenient, it's incredibly lucky it found these people
He really doesn’t look disregarded, I’d assume the original owners just lost him unfortunately. They probably just gave up on searching because losing a bird feels like impossible problem to solve.
What a lucky boy, he found a wonderful family. I love Budgies, they are such sweet little bird's. Lots of people here in Australia have them as pets but keep them in little cages. I love seeing them fly around the house like that, he has a wonderful life 😊💕
He loves each and everyone of you, he looks like he may have trouble deciding who's shoulder to land. He may not care because he knows he has many landing strips. He looks so happy and free. Great job family.
It was destiny. How wonderful he ended up with your family.

How nice of the Budgie to adopt a whole house of humans like that
My family had several of these budgies as I grew up. One in particular loved my dad. He'd spend every waking moment sitting on his glasses nibbling his eyebrow! 😆
One of those extraordinarily rare stories where they both chose each other. Fabulous story and I hope they all enjoy many years together.
That's a Budgie, the d student of the parrot family. Absolutely adorable balls of spite and scream.
This bird walked in the house like: “This is my house now and all humans are my servants. I expect my food on time please!” LOL! ❤😂
Hello,how are you doing today?
What a lucky birb! Don’t forget that budgies need at least one partner! That’s the reason why he is so fixated on the mirror. They do live in huge flocks in the wild and become extremely lonely when they are kept alone. Otherwise good luck with this little sweet boy ❤️❤️
Birds can be kept alone since it's gonna see it's partner as part of his flock. Aslong theres somebody at home to keep the bird company.
The reason it's fixed on the mirror is because it "sees a bird" doesn't mean anything.
@@Prislistrations That's not even remotely true. Educate yourself before you make comments like this. Birds are one of the most social animals on the entire planet and while some birds do fine solo, most parrots do not. In the case of budgies, you should always have two. You also need to remember that birds are extremely hormonal by nature and cannot be fixed, so their social needs are even further elevated.
@@karmalotto8587fr, birds are usually social, I see rooks always together, same with sparrows, but other birds like secretaries are alone usually and cassowaries
@@karmalotto8587 growing up, I had 2 budgies…one was very friendly, easy to train, learned to love & trust people, etc. And the other…he was a complete jerk, lol. I treated him well, spent a lot of time trying to train or “domesticate” him if you will, but he just never showed much fondness for people or even the other bird (a female). It was pretty sad to me because I wanted to give the other bird a partner, but he’d always either ignore her or try to aggressively peck at her (which she obviously hated, she’d always fly off). Do you think it’s possible for some birds to just never get along with others, or something I was doing wrong? Even as an adult now, I think back sometimes & wonder why I couldn’t ever figure him out. 😢
He has such beautiful markings.
