Thank you for your kind words! The stories are inspired by real-life events, but they are often fictionalized to highlight important messages and lessons.
What a wonderful story. I am now 76, but when my children were younger, at one time I had quite a number of horses. 2 Clydesdales who gave me the third Clydesdale; 2 Golden Palominos who also gave us a colt, 1 Welch pony bred to an Arabian to give us another colt; and a Standard bred Trotter. I have "Gentled" quite a number of horses but I have NEVER broken one and it saddens & angers me that people would mistreat animals. Thank you again for the story.
What an amazing horse & Monica. Loved it. Monica is a very compassionate woman. I hate people who abuse Animals. I hope they pay big time for the hurts they caused. Loved this story. Thank you
I totally agree! Monica's compassion is truly inspiring, and it's heartbreaking when people abuse animals. They definitely should face consequences for the pain they cause. I'm so glad you loved the story, and thank you for sharing your thoughts!
That sweet horse had been so badly mistreated before she got him. But she seen possibly in him and she knew it was going to take alot of times earn his trust. But she was patient with him and helped him overcome his fear. And in time all her time paid off. This has been an amazing story. I ❤❤❤❤❤❤ it
That's such a beautiful story! The patience and care shown towards the horse really paid off. It’s amazing how trust can be rebuilt with time and compassion. Thanks for sharing such a heartwarming tale! ❤
Good afternoon my name is Daniel Earl. I live by the mighty Fraser river in BC Canada.🇨🇦 🇨🇦 I have listened to the video till the end, I believe without a doubt it was a good heartwarming❤ story experience to listen to👍 PS: maybe if I was writing the story I would put in a little more energy into stating how she got him ready, for the saddle! Kind regards, Danial Earl happy new year in 2025 👍👌
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤yes beautiful story, help us not to give up too easy on people and our animals, lots of love and respect and patience we will overcome and archive what we want in life
I cried a lot. Shadow and those broken is one of the reasons why I want to start a rescue when I grew up and retired. In my 70s, this is why I am looking for my farm now. There are so many Shadows out there who had not experienced love in my years, if at all. And, there are so many Human Shadows that like Shadow need a place where they can heal. From Veterans, First-Responders, Military, and others like that little girl can find a place to thrive and bloom. Perhaps, this is why I cried as I have seen so many in pain in both Animal and in us Humans. Great story. Thank you.
Your passion for helping both animals and people is truly inspiring. It's amazing to see how much empathy you have for those who need healing. Wishing you all the best on your journey to create a safe haven for them!
Hi, i did experience something like this with a dog of mine. I ve always loved animals and whe Rex crossed my path, it also was very special. We, Rex and myself once had to cross a river that i thought we could easily manage. Both🎉 of us beiing strong swimmers. But it happened to be a very difficult current we had to cross, which happened to be no prob for Rex. But in the middle of the river it looked as if I would pick up problems, so I grabbed his tail and let him do the heavy work. Yes, he pulled me thru and i still think he saved my life. Me beiing 19 or 20 years old thinking i ll easily make it. But it was Rex that did bring me to the other side of the good old Vaal river. I owed him my life. Me, beiing 86 y old now, still remember the strong dog, who pulled me to safety. Life is great, specific if you have animals around you. Thank you . Groete. Theo Mastenbroek. Gordonsbay.
That's right! All creatures have similar emotional pathways that help them understand each other's emotions. This shows the strong connection between creatures and the natural capacity for empathy in the animal kingdom.
There are some problems with this story: Horses lower their head when relaxed. At no point in the story is it clear that Monica started riding Shadow- that would be an important step in the process of gaining trust. I don’t think people saddle their horse before loading it into a trailer, I don’t think that would be safe if the tack caught on the side of the trailer.
You make valid points. Horses do lower their heads when relaxed, and it would be crucial to mention Monica riding Shadow to show the trust-building process. Also, saddling a horse before loading it into a trailer does seem unsafe, as the tack could get caught. These details would make the story more realistic and grounded.
That's right! When citizens understand their rights, especially their constitutional rights, this can make the police feel surprised or nervous, because they know that citizens can protect their rights legally and intelligently.
My first horse named sunny was badly mistreated before i got him and with trotters you can hop on them under saddle and you do not have to rebrake them to saddle because the weight of the cart it is put on a piece of harness that is called a saddle and with same weight distribution as we are in the saddle and my sunny was sent to the racetrack to get rebroken in by a jockey and spurs and whips and they made him buck and when he buck he was hit with spurs on him and from shoulder to his flank was open wound from the spurs and on his rump he had whip marks and they had put every muscles and bones and joints out and it had cost me a lot of money for food and treatment for my horse and i had to send him back but i made shore that his owner would look after him like food and vet treatment if he needed but just one month after he went back he was bitten by red belly black snake and he did not make it the vet let me know and i had to send him back because he nilly killed me when he reared up and went over backwards on me and i did not want to but my life was in danger
That’s such a heartbreaking story. It’s truly devastating to hear about Sunny’s mistreatment, especially how he was subjected to such cruelty. It’s clear you cared deeply for him, and you did everything you could to ensure he received the care he needed. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, circumstances can be out of our control. I’m so sorry for your loss, and I hope you find peace knowing that you did your best to give Sunny the love and care he deserved.

All creatures biologically inherit the same 7 emotional pathways that enable them to understand the feelings of others.
That's right! All creatures have similar emotional pathways that help them understand each other's emotions. This shows the strong connection between creatures and the natural capacity for empathy in the animal kingdom.
Oklahoma i love horses as well but only have one

Heartfelt story! I understand that it's fiction, but nonetheless, I wonder if, in real life, horses have such sophisticated intuition?
It's a great question! While it's a fictional story, there is a lot of truth to the idea that horses can be very intuitive beings.

Any story that includes animal abuse is an emotional manipulation. No. Bad thing to do.
he is so cruel.
