I have been mesmerized by reading this story..so much love and trust and pride in how we can relate to any animal. I have be around horses all of my life and have so much love for them. My walls are a gallery of all breeds. so now I spend my time painting these beautiful creatures. Your story has become a treasure in my heart and for that I send you a big thankyou. This story resembles the true story of Charmayne James of Clayton, New Mexico and her sale barn horse Scamper. Scamper was bought at a sale barn and became a champion barrel horse. Clayton, NM is a small town in north east New Mexico, just west of the Texas state line in route towards Amarillo, and when you drive through Clayton the billboards boast of being the home on Charmayne James and Scamper. She and Scamper won the NFR (National Finals Rodeo) 7 times, Scamper made Charmayne a million dollar cowgirl. Google them for the true story.

It's very touching and lot's of caring and loving . respect, love for animals. I never have a horse, but I love all animals...I grow up in the Farm. As my Parents are Farmers...We Farm Coconut Trees, ad Rice. We also raised Chickens, Ducks, Pigs, and we have 2 water Buffalo using them in the Farm and for Transporting Coconuts and Rice after we Processed it and Sacked them to take it to the Pier in the Town and I guess our Parents get paid as we don't see them for the weekend, but came home all the stuff we needed at home.........I'm in my middle seventies now, But l can still remember growing up about life in the Farm. After listening I realized there is more to the story! There is the subliminal message that regardless of color or breed, there is the partnership one can attain through trust, love and yes, hard work which translates into a successful life. About the horse no one wanted about Grace, and her cars Blaze. I hope I got the horses name right. I've listened to this whole entire story and it touched my heart so much I love animals and they love us we need to give them all the time and love we can give them. That horse became a wonderful horse that loved her, and she loved him right back. Every animal needs to have the chance of feeling they're very best, need to have their greatest life.

I live in Canada a survivor of a disability. This story is very touching but also true. Trust and love win out everytime.

So many people think that horses only have a brain capacity of a 4 or 5 year old child. I'm 68 now but when I was a kid, I grew up with horses and a half shetland, and half welsh pony that myself my brother and 3 sisters and I am the youngest that we all grew riding him first before we got old enough to get a horse each over the years, Well mom was a walking lightning rod and a bolt hit the pear tree and a spark jumped and hit mom right on her horned rim glasses. It blew her 10 feet backwards out of her gumboots. She was walking out to the barn, well our mare saw it and trotted over to her because mom was flopping around trying to stand up but kept falling over. The mare ( April ) put her head down so mom could grab the halter and slowly got mom back on her feet but wobbly and slowly got her through the gate, past the garden up 3 stairs right to the door, and then whinied till my sister opened the door and got mom inside. April just turned around and walked right past the garden without having a bite or two and walked back into the field and closed the gate. Well 3 years later mom was walking back from the barn when a bolt of lightning hit the cherry tree and a spark hit mom in the glasses again and blew her out of her boots again and the mare new exactly what to do all over again. Mom finally did get rid of those glasses after she got hit the third time but that didn't involve any of the animals. Every time I think about mom and lightening I burst out laughing, she was terrified of it.

I had my first horse i named him buck, he had a good demeanor and loved him raised from 6 months old until he passed away at 26 he was my friend and I wouldn't sell him either.
