Finally got my calibro very surprised at the power, very good for a twin,I have just rode for 104 klm really comfortable don’t feel I have rode that far, very little vibes nothing to complain about, verdict really good bike so far looks amazing, looking forward to someone making back rest and rack,my wife thinks it is comfortable which is always good,I have always had GSX 1100s and hyabusa, but now I have turned78 years old had to slow down, but not disappointed with calibro.
I have had 12 months ownership of the Royal Enfield SM 650. Absolutely no faults has not skipped a beat! In fact from new, felt like it just rode better and better as time went on! I have the Astral Black, removed rhe pillion seat and added a Solo Seat finisher and added the Royal Enfield Bare End mirrors. Highly recommed the Bar End mirrors! Look great with improved vision behind! I ride most days to work in city traffic and find it perfect and comfortable! Can easily get away from traffic at lights. There is enough power. It managers weekend half day and day trips on highways and in twisty roads beautifuly! Beautiful alrounder bike! I will only add another bike to the garage not replace this one! 👍
Your bike sounds great! But, you know what??? I too bought a SM650! I got a celestial red. You should check out some of my recent videos, including my 10 secrets of the SM650.
It isn't that the RE has more power than the Calibro it's that you didn't understand how the Calibro makes it's power. The Calibro is a high revving engine and makes it's power up higher in the rev range. You were almost lugging the motor. The engine comes from an older version of the Kawasaki ninja 650 which is a high revving engine. You had it at low rpms most of the time.
I don’t know if I will agree with your assessment. This bike seems to be tuned way different with way more power down low than the other Moto Morini’s. I’ve driven all the MM’s with the 650 engines. This 700cc bike has much more punch down low than the 650’s. It is also way less smooth and vibrates more. It is grabby and hard to modulate smoothly. The mid-range has a larger gap and the top end was about the same as the 650’s. What you didn’t see in my video was the tons of high rpm power riding I did. (My camera was pointed too low for good footage). Thanks for the great insight and discussion!
Yes I agree, need to rev it just a little but no problem ,as I have said good power for a twin, goes well and looks good,I am looking forward to touring on calibro, but needs back rest for wife as it is a new model will have to waight me thinks.
@@MCCJustMotos I had a monster 620 ducati, but I sold it... now I'm undecided whether to get a Honda Rebel 500 or Morini caliber. Honda is Honda but Caliber has a nice powerful engine.
gotcha. If you can ride them both first. I was not super happy with the grabby throttle on the Calibre, but that could just have been the bike I tried out.
@@Bacchussmokes sorry but I also looked at the super meteor and I prefer the looks and comfort of the motomarini Calibro so it is in the eye of the beholder which one you like,I preferred the looks of the calibro, and now I have one I chose the right one.
I guess So. I saw that (and all the other) reviews too. I was underwhelmed in those reviews..not specific at all. I think I had the fortune of riding 4 bikes of the same class (including the caliber) back to back. Thanks for the watch. I’d love to hear what you think if you rode it!

@peterwilliams3252 I own 2023 Morini Seiemmezzo SCR... 6,200 miles, been fun! Only complaint is a bit heavy for a scrambler off road. On road. Outstanding! So balanced and flicks well. Get about 190 miles real world on a tank full. Has been a delight to own.
First, if I were the marketing department I would call it the “Cali-Bro”😂 I’ll go watch your review of that bike. Do you know if it has a boosted/slipper clutch like the Royal Enfield?

The RE 650cc twin is a gem, they need a stronger version of it by adding a supercharger 🤠
I like how you think!

in Italy the price only changes by 300 euros (between the caliber and the metor 650)

Who do you believe just watched another test on colibra and no vibration and also dead very smooth,so I guess it depends on the test rider.
