I love that Jody is still covering Pagani's, San Martin's, etc... I dream of luxury watches but I can't afford them. The Aliexpress brands are good as it gets for the price.
@@litan114Stupid advice. I've bought many watches on Aliexpress and none had issues. Seikos are way overpriced these days and the quality is often worse.
@@litan114 Do you realise that in many countries in the world to buy newer Seiko 5 with 4r36 movement it almost cost as your month salary? You need to decide to eat, pay bills and take care of yourself or to buy "decent watch". Chinese watches give you everything for very little amount of money to not ruin your budget and you have VERY Decent watch if you are not brand snob, with sapphire crystal with AR coating, solid bracelet with solid end links and milled clasp and ORIGINAL Seiko movement thats inside 500-600$ Seiko watches NH35/4R35. Yes you dont get original design from 99% of their watches but if you dont mind this and cant afford more expensive watches it is great that they exist.

@@andrewd101 don't forget the hardlex..even $60 watches on Ali give you sapphire. But no sapphire on a $500 Seiko monster.

After watching your V3 video I picked up one and I'm delighted with it. My mate has a real hand wound Omega and he said that it is supringly similar to his own watch. I've also bought my lad a PD 1644 Daytona lookalike on a rubber strap. That is very impressive for the £90 I paid. Not so keen on the featured model and I wish they'd up the AR and lume, we'll pay more, honest!
I own the Seamaster homage. I had to file down some rivets, because they were razor sharp. Other than that, the watch is ridiculously well made, and it looks gorgeous.

Used to own a mid size speedy automatic that I had to sell when I needed some emergency cash. Once got to try on a Dark side of the moon in an Omega store. Never going to afford one, but just ordered one of these with the yellow hands. Not sure if it’s my love of speedy’s or the fact that it’s named after my favourite album that draws me to it.
What bookshelf do you have in the background? It is beautiful.

Sadly they've jacked the price up for the UK. The UK 11/11 sale price is £71.32 (or $87.17). There are better value Speedmaster alternatives on Ali for that price.

My n°1 compaint with PD is the reflection of the crystal on ALL of their models. I would buy so much more of them if they included better AR
I compared Pagani Moon watches in Red, Black, Silver Blue and Silver Gray. It varied between no AR and double AR on the Silver Blue one. I ultimately chose the Silver Blue one.
Jody, i think this is going to be the biggest buy for Pagani this sale. I placed it 1 in my top 10 and my review is pretty favourable!
Honestly I was gonna get the grand seiko looking one but I instead spent my money on audio equipment so I'll just buy it on 12.12

To have made it into my permanent collection… A James Bond omega homage and an over the top Daytona homage in rose gold… amazing what you can get for less than 100 bucks for this brand. Instead of dropping 250 bucks on an omega moon swatch why not buy four Pagani‘s!

I was initially fascinated by tachymeters, but once I found out how they're used I felt disappointed as they seem to me to be more confusing than just using a regular timer and some basic maths.

Not so bad!! The black /yellow one is very similar to my Pulsar Solar Chronograph right down to the look of the strap and the yellow chrono and subdial hands. Don't like the skeleton dial though.
Hi Jody, I've had 2 pagani's from ali express and both were junk and broke in no time.1 I was pulling the crown to change the date and the crown came straight out of the watch

It’s probably a really ridiculous nitpick but I wish Pagani would update the case shape on their Speedies. The real speedy has an asymmetric case and the lugs turn down sharply into almost an eagles beak type effect. It’s one of the things that makes the watch so damn good looking. I’ve yet to see a speedy homage (aside from the moonswatch) get those details
I guess the detail the moonswatch got wrong was being made of plastic and costing too much😂

I already have a Seagull 1963 & a Bulova Lunar Pilot. I am also trying to get a Silver Snoopy Speedmaster for myself (rarer than hen's teeth!) & a Speedmaster racing for my older son for his 21st birthday
The Buran-ish spacecraft and the moon on the back is really quite fitting.
The Buran never went to the moon, and neither did the Pagani :p
Nor did Omega, or Apollo.
It would be nice to know what exactly Omega think is worth the extra 17k bucks.

I ordered one of these during the 11.11 sale (along with the Pagani Patek chrono) and now that they've arrived I'm kind of meh on both of them in person. I may pass them on for what I paid for them. I just have caviar taste and a peanut butter wallet. LOL

I have heard someone mention, Pagani watches are for poor people. Well their marketing is pretty good. Considering most of the population of the world these days are poor.. great value if you are poor or just tight. You can’t go wrong.
I'm hoping that they make these with solar power movement. I'll even pay additional $100 to $200 more if they implement a solar movement in these!

I think for value they're far better propositions than the Moonswatch being provided with sapphire crystals and meca-quartz movements.

PD I find are a vastly superior value proposition to san martin. I own abut 20 PD watches. I had 1 movement failure, a pt5000. They normally use superior NH movements.
san martin rarely uses NH movements, rarely if ever has exhibition case backs (PD does quite often). I own 2 expensive sm watches, both came with inferior chinese movements, closed case backs, and both watches had defective SS bracelets preventing links from being for sizing (a stripped screw and the other had a defective pin). And PD watches are always half, or less than that, compared to sm prices.
I'll wait for the Mk 2 version when they dump the skeleton front and use fully white hands.

hi jody, I am canadian in canada, I wont be buying ANY 11/11 watches. the reason is the price. as an example in this video the US price is 65 usd but on my screen ali wants 108.99 canadian and NOT the currency converted of 89.71 thats 20 cdn more for WHAT?????. also i have found all ali prices are 20% over the converted usd price. do you know why this is going on?

The cut outs don't really work for me, they could have at least shaped them like a couple of Continents.

Good god. I just received a brand new PD-1758 GMT and it was dead right out of the box. I wound it over fifty times and even swirled it around to power up the mainspring. Absolute garbage.
Decent design for $60USD. But the reflections on the crystal ruin the watch for me - terrible legibility.

Just got my first pagani speedy £52 in ali express sale no brainer prefer this homage rather than that plastic crap.
I'm watching this while wearing my Mission to Alaska PD, and my biggest gripe with the speedmaster clones is the lack of date wheel on some versions. The VK63 movement has the complication already, and some models even come with a black wheel, why can't they have It on all of them? I'd rather get to see what day of the month it is than to have something as Ômega looking as possible
Pagani Designs are taking the piss on the 11.11 'sale', eg. € 92,54 with € 711,86 crossed out, or, € 128,89 with € 1.074,09 crossed out. Don't need another quartz or NH35, LOL.
The skeleton is fine and industrial. Guess do that a lot. Except this is much more tasteful.
I am everyday on aliexpress, and what I see is that most of the items that are and was in my cart went up in price.
I had a cool Skmei watch worth €3 in my cart. Price was the same for months, but when 11.11 dropped, it went to €4,50
Without boring you with the details I think Ali Express is a little sketchy based on what happened to me waiting for a refund.
