If its the same frame as the K100 and X-Cal you can definitely swap the enlarged part of the mag release to either side. Swapped my X-Cal to the right for left hand use.
Graham, I wonder if the front sight would be more friendly if it were a green rod versus red? I have astigmatism issues and find red is very difficult for me and that in both fiber-optic and pistol dot optics I fair much better with green. Just something to consider trying to see if it maybe isn't better contrast and less difficult with the tight rear sights. Great shooting either way.
Seems I need to find and do some trigger time with one of these. Nice review. I especially enjoyed the ammo comparisons. I kinda get all geek about loads

@@GBGuns You will be pleased to know ive gone through almost every article in your website to find the a few different pistols to get for myself and loved ones that meet the criteria of "not mainstream but quality". Hahaha. Was really hoping Steyr made a Sub Compact or Micro even.
i want one i want one but im gonna be so broke also wanting a franklin armory binary for my stribog sp9a1g2 and grand power saying they might be importing the longer rifle versions of the stribog ill have to buy one of those too...... grand power stuff is like pokemon, gotta catch em all! ugh im gonna have to griiiiind for the money but thats what its all about.
Very odd that precision shooting was much more accurate that the half size torso shooting. Not sure why the fiber optic image effect would cause missing the torso plate at 30 yards, but do perfectly fine at 7 yds for accuracy. Miss Teya is getting better at the spinner. Congrats! I would love a comparison between this gun and the X-Caliber. I LOVE my X-Caliber and am curious about the difference. Heck throw in the K100 in that comparison.
I think I just wasn't warmed up yet for the plate. You see every round we put through these guns (ie no practice runs or retakes unless we announce it). Our "cold shots" really are the first rounds through the gun! In comparison with the X-Cali this is a shorter barrel, and the rear sight is not as adjustable as the X-Cals. The frame is the same, so really you're just getting a toned-down, more carry-friendly competition-type pistol. Probably excellent for IDPA.
@@GBGuns Does Grand Power offer adjustable sights for the shorter models or do some of the other models fit? With what kind of hold do they ship? Top of the front sight aligned poa-poi or like some 'combat'-ish on the dots covering poi?
The new GP MK23's are coming out. Would love to see some reviews on the newest X-caliber, K100, Q100 MK23. We know you've got the hook-up. Let's see 'em.
@@ianbestor1528 We'll cover it when we visit, but the AR market is a bit saturated, adding the costs of immportation would make the Grand power ARs likely prohibitively expensive on the US market.
Another good thorough review. Would be interested in your opinions of the value for the money, and how it compares to other models in its class. Same with other guns and reviews 🎯
Details like that are after I've shot it and spent more time with the gun. Information like that is in the pinned comment where the full review is posted.
@GBGuns if you want an improved front sight, a Truglo TFX Pro for a CZ75 will fit with no modification. If you want the finest of fit it might need the end shaved down a bit though. There is nothing made that fits the rear, sadly.
I really enjoy watching the target fall. I have watched this 8-10 already. If I wanted to get one hammer fired Grand Power for multiple missions would this be a good one.
It seems the thickness and amount of light can play a big role. There are other sights, or these same sights on different days can be fine. On this particular day it was a little too much for our application.
Hey! Great to see someone reviewing Grandpowers. I do have one BIG question tho... Are there any changes in trigger pull/feel for decocker version vs normal one? Thanl you sooo much for answering.
@@GBGuns Thats really great to hear. I've had one GP k100 in my hands but it hadnt decocker. And i totally fell in love with this crunchy feel that trigger had. And soon i will land my hands on my own one P1 decocker.
I think they are DASA guns, but you might have to manually lower the hammer. Not all of them have a decocker. I don’t know if it is “drop safe.” Foolish to hit it with a hammer to test it lol.

Yesss Graham Power back at it again with another review.
Watch out for tornados this fall and yes some of us do live in Blue Oregon
As always , Grand power delivers , nice shooting .
The more I shoot my K22, the more I want a GP 9mm...
The Q-100 and Q-1 have the shortest lightest triggers of any production trigger. It makes the Walther PDP trigger feel like a Glock.
Good to hear. I am not the only one who can't use red dots. With the dot looking like a star burst. Open sights for me.
And more importantly, all of these issues the affiliate-sales pushers seem to not mention: www.gbgunsdepot.com/post/pistol-red-dot-considerations

It is a lot more friendly in green. I suffer from astigmatism and nearsightedness, the red fiber was nearly unusable for me.
Cool gun! Those Norma rounds looked a little warm.
looks sweet never shot or even seen a grand power
Grand Powers are incredible. It's amazing what 70 or so years does in action design (Grand Power action Vs your common Browning action).
Thank you for the evaluation. Another one to be looking forward to.

I'd say skip the binary trigger. For the cost of a trigger you can get a case of ammo and get better at shooting quickly on multiple firearms.

I still need to motivate myself to purchase either the CP380, LP380 or P380 ... Global Ordnance has them all in stock ...
Id like to hear/see more about the barrel length and certain loads you mentioned.
I like the muzzle flip
I would consider buying a Grand Power if they had optics cuts.

Do you think that overly bright sight would make for faster acquisition in an up close self defense scenario
Yes, for sure. Typically brighter/bigger sights help with getting a course sight picture quickly.
I wish it had an optics cut.
Unfortunately these were developed before the optics trend.
It makes me so sad, I've wanted one since I saw one on your channel years ago. But old eyes like dots.
Is this basically the Q1 but hammer fired instead of striker fired?
The P1 and Q1 are essentially equivalents, the P1 Ultra has a few other tweaks to it.
Do all the P1 Ultras have fiber optic front sights?I'm considering one. Would be great to pair with my PX4..
Yes
I wish it had a de-cock option. Not a fan of condition one for me. Do they make that gun with the decock option?
With astigmatism, is there a red dot optic that you prefer? Would be nice to see a dot instead of a star or a tree.
Better a story or tree than a spider, that's what I see! I haven't found any magical solutions other than turning the dot down.
@@GBGuns me too.
Can it be safely carried with the hammer lowered?
