The ending of this episode always leaves me peeling onions. Hawaii-5/0, Star Trek, Mod Squad, All in the Family also brought that miserable French Colony war to America,s living rooms. Remember these classics so well. Even though I was 6-7 yrs old.
The killer was thrown out of the Army on a section 8. He tried to enlist in the Marine Corps but the recruiter turned up fraudulent enlistment. Tried to use an assumed name to get in.
I was able to meet Kono twice when I was in Hawaii at the International market place then on the American Hawaii cruise ship wonderful entertainer his show was dedicated to the armed services ❤❤❤
Yes it was cringeworthy to see a guy shoot another guy twice in the stomach, at point blank range unnecssassarily...But the again, the shooter is american AND a policeman. So,only to be expected.
I wrote these lyrics when I watched my favorite show, while I was in high school. Jack Lord was the BEST. He was the reason I watched the series.
Hawaii 1.) Mystic land of Hawaii Mystic land of Hawaii Blue seas in Hawaii Blue skies above Land where all your sorrows and fears disappear throughout the years in Hawaii, magic land of love, of love.
2.) Wind sings of Hawaii Happiness of love Wind sings of Hawaii Blue skies above Wind that is so soft and sweet Now you get the chance to meet in Hawaii, Hawaii’s song 3.) If you and a friend now get an early start then come to Hawaii land with a heart You’ll find you’re loved here all along You’ll be singing this magic song in Hawaii, Hawaii Five-O, Hawaii Five-O.
By the way, what's with mixing an United Douglas DC8 and an Northwest Orient 747? A budget issue?? Otherwise, it was really good to see Jack Lord again. Hawaii Five-O was also very popular in Korean in the 1970s.
Remember this from childhood, first time since then I've seen it . Stuck out in my memory for some reason. So does that Mercury.

Excellent episode. Brought the Vietnam war into your living room. Much like Walter Kronkite. Can,t believe Kono was canned.
Why was Kono fired? He wanted more money?
Steve being a pro at his job trying to get the job done and does it with a little pain but he gets it done Way to go mcgarrett
The ubiquitous United DC-8.
quick view of a BOAC 707, from when they used to fly the Pacific.
Thank you very much, gmlangley1988, for uploading this interesting video so that we can see it again. ™
Please have a nice weekend. ™
Wow, McGarrett really took a blade in thus one. Great episode.
He had the gun hidden away. I have a Zastava 9mm. A Cold War relic from Yugoslavia now called Serbia 🇷🇸.

It's too bad that this was the last episode with Kono...
I was able to meet Kono twice when I was in Hawaii at the International market place then on the American Hawaii cruise ship wonderful entertainer his show was dedicated to the armed services ❤❤❤
oh, yeah, totally forgot about that one! That's a great episode!
Nice for this Minnesotan to see the Northwest jets once again. A little like Independence Day and the Twin Towers.
"Book 'em Duke.." Kono's final innings...
yeah, that scene definately makes me cringe too...ouch!! May be the only time Steve actually cries out in pain.

@@tcsl7764 GEEK.
+@@tcsl7764 Killed a filthy wife murderer. Who cares! From a liberal Democrat.
@@tcsl7764 You're absolutely right; some long-stemmed red roses with a little pink note would have been more appropriate.
@@tcsl7764 Especially when the guy's hand is being lacerated and he knows that the woman is 100% next for that blade.
The saddest ending.😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢.
...shouldn't bring a knife to a gun fight
I assume the third R stood for Revenge?
I enjoyed watching classic TV detective shows

The NWO was just arriving. They were seeing it from the DC8. Not the same plane.
I wish there was some way of renting a particular episode, but Prime and others demands that you buy.
La mejor de las series
Question: how did Steve McGarrett know to go to this United Airlines?
