    "May I begin my journey now Mr. Kaye? I believe my continued presence would only cause Mr. McGarret even greater anguish than he already feels." Classic Wo Fat!

    • @sharonjensen3016
      @sharonjensen3016 2 роки тому

      Obviously Mr. Kaye is being blackmailed by Wo Fat. Which I believe was happening on the reboot with Wo Fat and Governor Pat Jameson, but the writers never delved into that. In Mr. Kaye's case, maybe Wo Fat threatened to tell interested parties that Kaye was a communist. As for Pat Jameson, maybe Wo Fat knew a secret from her past, such as a teenage pregnancy? Not something anyone in a position of power would want revealed.

    Great finish, a rare moment where McGarrett is out-maneuvered.
    Wo Fat is a classic nemesis, all iconic heroes need one (Blofeld, Moriarty, etc.).

    The episodes with Wo Fat were all masterfully convoluted plots, playing out the same as a classic spy drama!! Professional acting at it's finest, from Khigh Deigh and Jack Lord contributed to the unparrelled success of the original Hawaii-5-0!!! Thanks for posting this very epic clip from the series!

    This is the 'one bad hair' day that McGarrett ever had. I kinda felt sorry for him when he was sooooo close to getting WoFat charged. Then it just collapsed before his eyes...so close yet so far away.

    Wow, what a scene. So that was the original Wo Fat. All great shows need a great villian. First time I have seen McGarrett lose his temper. Brilliant dramatic ending. I am currently looking at the reboot, (on season 8 now), which I am appreciating more and more with who and what they had to follow in the footsteps of. I personally love the reboot. The reboot Wo Fat was extremely menacing. Hats off and massive respect to these guys though. They were there first.

    Sorry Steve, not this time. It wouldn't be until 1980 that he finally got him.
    The years 1968 to 1974 or maybe 1975 were the best years of the show.
    In real life hostile foreign governments have used hostages and political prisoners to get something in exchange for many years and still do. This is indeed a very realistic scene.

    When Wo Fat finally WAS deported, instead of being acclaimed as a hero, he was kangaroo-tried as an enemy of the Chinese state and publicly tortured to his own death.
    Wo Fat's name is still execrated, as that of a traitor, throughout all Chinese Beijing even to this day.
