i went in for a regular accord and walked away with a 2022 accord hybrid touring lol this video help with my decision to get it. I actually like the fact the gauge cluster isn't all digital. If the digital goes out you can still see your mph.
@@pradeepsubramaniam1659 really good. Drives great, plenty of pick up, averaging 45 mpg, and I get compliments on it all the time. I ordered the Still Night Pearl and it’s a gorgeous color. I’m very happy with it!
Just ordered the Modern Steel 2022 Hybrid Touring . I think we will Love it. It's the Best sporty Gas saver right now. Liked the look of Acura TLX Type S But IT SUCKS for gas milage
Yup, EV only works below 30 if you want to push the button. It is best used while in parking lots and stuff, and I heard it can go up to 2 miles on EV mode, which will turn off automatically after hitting 30 or if it needs power. Great review overall, thank you!!! I love my Honda Accord Hybrid Touring! Its AMAZING!
EV works at any speed; but only works above ~30 mph on flat ground while cruising. It's a smaller version of the same system, but ua-cam.com/video/6glpZTRT6qE/v-deo.html shows that the Jazz Hybrid spends 13% of the time between 50 and 75 mph in EV mode. The Accord should spend more time in EV mode.
@@jeffjo8732 Not saying it never turns on after 30 MPH. I was saying that if you MANUALLY turned it on at low speeds, the car shuts it off if you accelerate to 30MPH. The MANUAL EV mode is mostly used for low speeds like in a parking lot. I was not talking about the Hybrid system as a whole or that would be the dumbest ass car on earth.
@@brandtc.7991 Again, EV _Drive_ is when the car decides to use only battery power. The green "EV" letters light up in the dash display. When you press the EV button, there are three possible results. The car could immediately turn on both EV _Mode_ (indicated by a green car-shaped light with blacked-out letters EV) and EV _Drive_ , it could tell you that _EV_ is not possible and do nothing, and in very specific circumstances it can turn on EV _Mode_ but not EV _Drive_ . This happens when EV_Drive_ is possible, but it would create a dangerous steering or suspension situation to change right now. If turned on, EV _Mode_ lasts until EV _Drive_ is no longer possible. That can be due to acceleration or State of Charge. Not speed (although the acceleration limit depends on speed). And the button can work to turn on EV _Mode_ at any speed. I've used it many times at 50+ mph to use as much battery as possible before a long downhill stretch, so that there is room for regen.
EV _Drive_ is when the gas engine is off and the car is powered only by batteries. Some hybrids, that can use it, can only do so at slow speeds. The Accord can do so at any speed, but not above about 20 to 30 mph while accelerating. There are some other conditions, like engine temperature, battery temperature, using the heater, etc. The car chooses to use it, not the driver. When cruising down a flat highway at 60 mph, it can use EV _Drive_ about 25% to 50% of the time. The engine is actually generating more power than it needs to in this situation, because that increases its efficiency from 33% to 40%. It will try to maintain the battery charge between 3 and 5 bars in ECON (not ECO) mode, and switch to EV _Drive_ when it reaches 5. In NORMAL, that will change to 4 to 6 bars. In SPORT, it will save as much power as possible and seldom go into EV _Drive_ . EV _Mode_ is when you push that button. It tells the car to favor EV _Drive_ if possible. Most of the time, if it can't switch immediately, it will flash a message and turn the mode off. But it can delay turning EV Drive on. But it doesn't save gas, it uses gas you burned earlier.
Just bought touring hybrid......I am 275 pounds and slightly handicap....my seatbelt extenders used in my previous Honda do "not" work making it almost impossible to put belt on without help. Notified parts dept. they told me they would look into it and get back to me. But presently do not sell extenders. Other than that car is everything hoped for.
Only Canada version comes with heated steering wheel. But I found out, Honda will add heated steering wheel as an accessory. I may get it for mine before the winter comes back

Can’t go wrong with a touring, and never thought about the digital going out. Got a new perspective.
Just bought this car. Hope to get it by the end of the month. Thanks for the review.
Gonna love it
Just ordered the 22 hybrid sport, picking it up in June and can’t wait. Great review!!!
I love how they made a hybrid sport this year, such a beautiful car!
How is the car so far??

Great pick up, with gas soaring it’s a better choice. tlx type s is probably one of the best looking sedans out right now.
I'm getting that same color as mine! My goes into production on 05/31 and then the countdown to arrival begins!!

Appreciate the detailed reply hopefully this helps anyone that had the same question.
Dang, this was a nice detailed reply! Thank you!
thanks for the great video I really like the Honda Accord I own one but am trying to buy a hybrid one
Love how quiet they are
Steering wheel is indeed adjustable. Up down and telescopic.
Lol that I know I meant electronic, in the touring they should of opted for that.

Can you get the accord hybrid touring with the Bose sound system ?
At the moment no
Don't think it has rear heated seats. If so, it's new to me. Had mine 1 month and haven't noticed it.
Yea touring will give it to you nice touch
Thanks to your video. I now know I have heated rear seats. Thanks
Switches are on the door, i just picked mine up today
