He's always looked good to me! His birthday is Sept 19th, same as mine, only we are 18 years apart. He's an amazing human being. He's sure been through a lot, too. I hope he is doing great right now!
I'm glad I got to meet him when he came to meet him in '76 and '78. He's 22 yrs.older than I am now. I wasn't even 21 yet the first time, yet he was so kind and treated me like I was older than I felt. We found out out we had a lot in common and I'm sure my parents would've loved to have seen him on "NCIS" too (had they lived longer) since they used to watch him on tv and movies and listened to his music as well. My dad was in the US Army Intelligence-while David was in the British Army-and served liason with the British Army Intelligence during WW2. He also played golf and predicted computers would get smaller than the ones he knew at Ga.Tech that were like those on "MFU". My dad was essentially in Intelligence so he liked "MFU" and James Bond.
Yes, David McCallum was born in Glasgow, Scotland. His family relocated to London when he was very young. I can't remember exactly where he said he lived during WWII, but he was still in the U.K. with family. He's lived in the U.S. since early 1960's, so he doesn't sound quite as British as he did earlier in his career.
I think he still sounds very Scottish to me. He has a great voice for narrating audios too. Even sang wlth Nancy Sinatra ( on the "Man From U.N.C.L.E.) and for the title song for the movie he was in, " Three Bites of the Apple". I still have his 4 instrumental albums (Not sung-he conducted the music himself and played the oboe and English horn. One CD-"Open Channel D" from the 1st album-includes music he sang.).
Love the episode of NCIS when Tony asks what Ducky was like as a young man... and Gibbs references Illya Kuryakin ... Man From Uncle reference .. howled with laughter!!
My accent varries. I sometimes sound like either if my grandparents, my parents, or some if my other relatives. It just comes out, depending who I'm with at the time. My parents knew who I'd been with that day and after a awhile, it'd change. I met David 2x and my mother knew I'd met him though I had no idea what part of Scotland he was from then. I think some visiting relative I once stayed with in Savannah was from that part of Scotland too and I must've picked it up from her.
Only Gibbs would be old enough at the time to have seen 'MFU" then. Abby had a picture of David in her work area that I believe David's first wife, Jill Ireland, painted of David when he was younger. If you really want to see a younger version of David, see a movie, "Teddy and Johnny". Very strange.
I really love his voice!!! It sounds so great!!!
Yes, I 'm completely agree with you.
Ducky the character is great, he has humanity, tenderness and he is a perfect gentleman.

I just love him. David/Ducky is so charming.
Hard to believe he's touching 80!! I love his hair, it's so cool and healthy for an older man!
I think that David McCallum is amazing . He is great as Ducky
I love him so much
"We just spend time hugging each other."
With Pauley Perrette around I can believe that XD
This is a super interview.
Yeah, he was born in 1933. He's actually 75 now, will be 76 in September. Pretty amazing!

Kate asked him at Ducky's mother's house.
Ducky is so sweet ^^,
A classic gentleman!
i love ducky lol
he is so great!
I'd like to have Gibbs as a dad or an uncle. And Ducky as a grandpa. That'd be awesome.
David Mc Callum is so famous for The Invisible man, also.
And "Sapphire and Steele"."VR-5" too
I have a same English accent, which is typical in England.

I thought that was Kate that made that reference....still a good episode
Did he just say he's over 70? He hardly looks it! Wow!
Yes!🙂
Forever "Illya Kuryakin " "The Man from U.N.C.L.E "..
Jim Dale was amazing, too! Look Him up 😄👍
im from australia...
H e seem s like he would be a perfect grampa (no offence)
David is a grandfather. Check him out on Facebook. There's one little boy who looks like him when he was little!
Why does it say "What are you're" (i.e. you are) "experiences of Australia?"
I guess someone wanted to know what his impressions of Australia were like? What he liked or not perhaps.
@redmars1959 actually it was kate that asked what he looked like

I like Casey, but I miss Abby.
