The cam isnt focused in on that tree so well that you are calling a cedar, but it sure does look like white pine from here.
How am I the first person to want to find out how to eat a pinecone? I thought the comments would be loaded with incredible info and facts, like usual. So far I am the first person to comment and its already 1 day old, thats several hours.
@jeil5676 i am so glad you are watching. It's hard to say. The time of year maybe?... And you can eat the shots from the white pine and yes i called it a cedar. Over look me because most people will look at it and think it's a red cedar but if any pine tree gives you young shots you can eat them. Yummy too. Thank you so much for watching and support my channel
There is a pinecone jelly, jam or honey, too. Eastern White Pine needles are my favorite for tea. Not 1005 sure what kind of pine was featured in this story, but it isn't a cedar.
Well, yes, it’s true that this lady in the video made a bit of a faux pau by confusing cedar a couple of times instead of pine. 🌲 I still appreciate her authenticity. Thank you. 🙏
No one does this. Well maybe starving folks or extreme foragers do. Everyone in my very extended family hunts fishes and camps. Pine is everywhere. Never have I once seen anyone make needle tea or eat cones. Tastes like terpenoids. Lick your paint thinner if you want to know what I mean.
