It seems the tie off point is a split ring. Is there a preferred knot to use when tying off to a split ring. I usually use a San Diego jam knot or a palomar knot.
As a tackle salesman do not leave the rod in the rodholder if the lure is directly below you. When a fish hits it you will hear a bang as 90% of your rod, and your reel goes over the side. If it's at a 30 degree plus angle away from the boat you probably won't break four $400.00 graphite slow pitch rod.
Something tells me these guys are not very experienced anglers. But everyone should buy their lure that is the world's "first ever never seen before" lure.
How well do these hold up to fishing reefs? I know Zman plastics can handle a fair bit of abuse but never used nomad rubber lures (fan of your stickbaits). My only concern is i dont want to be going through a $20 lure every trip because the tentacles are chewed off
@@synx_william they hold up pretty well, honestly ive done very very well with the small sizes on flathead and what not. We absolutely cleaned up on demersals in Exmouth using vertrex vibes - not much to report with squidtrex in the Perth area but then again i cant catch demersals down here to save my life regardless of the method
lots great but how do you replace the tentacles ? I mean a barracuda,shark or wahoo will destroy it on one go and of course it will not work well without the tentacles. Buy a new one ?
Lures often outfish bait my man, I would be surprised if the problem wasn't your tackle. Do you have a thousand dollar slow pitch set up? With braid and fluorocarbon trace? Because if you just put any lure on a baitrunner or boat rod and reel with a glass rod and nylon it won't really work. Just saying
This is a good lure, but it gets ruined way too fast. Two or three fish, and it will be missing most all tentacles, missing eyes, and torn apart. For that cost, I would rather fish real squid.
I wouldnt call it world first as its the company's version of a squid lure. Other companies make squid type lure in all shapes and sizes and colors. Is the target consumer anyone whos never fished before? Cause thats what it looks like to me, either you dont know about the industry or have a very low budget RnD/marketing team or worse you think you're the first ever company to ever exist.

Well for starters you can't believe all reports you read. The flying fish had an assembly issue where the wing failed on the 140 size. That got fixed up very quickly and the flying fish is catching a lot of fish now. That assembly issue at the factory was a problem but we provided warranties on all issues. As for the Squidtrex, i think you can just look at everyone else's opinion and make your own call. And just a hot tip you are gonna see that flying fish around a lot more, the fixed wing versions are slaying fish!!
The do nothing retrieve is deadly on a lots of fishing styles and here is another, awesome.
Tried one last weekend and it was very effective. Fast becoming my new favourite lure

If you have your drag locked in the rod holder you deserve the broken rod

can be stored with vertrex no problem, same TPE material.

Similar stretchy material as a Zman (TPE) made to be as hardy as possible with high stretch TPE material.

Sure is, simple split ring change up. Also has the belly utility eye for additional hooks

They cast well and can be fishing as a cast and retrieve lure so no reason it wouldn't work.

the tentacles cannot be replaced as its all one piece. As with any soft plastic lures, toothy critters will chew them up over time
