Hey.... you did come to our neck of the woods! We ranch 45 miles Northwest of North Platte, but shop and go to church there.
Love the Nebraska sandhills with it's "as far as the eye can see" rolling hills of grass. I grew up in the very FLAT area of Chase County Nebraska, about 15 miles from the Colorado state line. From our farm, which was about 20-25 miles from Imperial, NE - Holyoke, CO - Grant, NE.... we could watch city fireworks on July 4th in all three places, from our farm!
The moment I met my rancher husband, I fell in love with these beautiful sandhills, and I will never leave them! Been here for nearly 30 years now. (Still miss driving tractors while farming... but love the cows and horses more!)

Bri & TJ....I hope 2021 will allow you to get back to your original plans to go farther north. What a logistical mess KungFlu has made for all the RV’ers who mapped out their travels long term. I have thoroughly enjoyed every single video! 👏👏😉

Thankfully, our chronic procrastination worked in our favor as we were able to easily roll with the punches 2020 threw at us! We look forward to continuing our adventures for as long as we're able and hope to make Alaska happen eventually, when the time is right. We're so happy to have you here, thank you for your support and kind words 🤗

I just discovered your channel. Wouldn't you know, this was my first video to watch. I was excited when you mentioned going through Broken Bow. Believe it or not my mom and step dad lived there and that is where they are buried. I remember lots of fun times at Tomahawk Park. Thanks for the memories and I look forward to watching more videos. Stay safe and healthy.

Glad you came through my area, central Nebraska. Too bad you missed Chimney Rock but it's worth a stop next time through. Missed you at Bailey yards. The yards have grown a lot since I've been watching them starting at 10 years old, 76 now.

It never fails, we always miss something but it just leaves us something to come back for 👍 Did you happen to see our video from last week when we visited Scotts Bluff? Here it is in case you missed it:
      ua-cam.com/video/V3Viymxb6EY/v-deo.html
Bailey yard was impressive, I wish we could have seen it in full swing... another thing to come back for. We learned that the 2nd 'hump' was built 25 years ago and that is what earned it the 'largest rail yard in the world' designation. Thanks for watching and commenting, James!

Flexible like Gumby! We have found it more challenging to get into some Harvest Hosts over the last few months. Many seem to be booking stays well ahead. We love them and used to really like that you could usually get in with a day or so's notice which is great for the way we like to roll. They are adding more hosts all the time though, which is great! Nice job as always!

Thanks for sharing your travels with us. Love the story line you create as well as the information about each stop along the way. We love trains. We’ve been in Southern CA recently and saw some of those REALLY LONG trains there along the Salton Sea!! You answered one of my questions by telling us about how long they were. :D. Safe travels.

I haven't been to the kinkaider brewery in Broken Bow. The restaurant they own here in Grand Island is popular and very good. There are other breweries within walking distance. The 3rd and 4th Street areas of downtown are interesting if you're in Grand Island again. There is an art deco movie theater and a lot of minority owned businesses including one that imports coffee directly from Kenya. I think people would be surprised how many ethnic groups live in this part of Nebraska. There is also a new Kinkaider tap room in Lincoln. Thanks for taking time to visit Nebraska.

Thanks for showing Nebraska in such a nice way! There is so much to the state that people miss by only traveling on I80! Grew up there, and because of Covid can't get back to visit so enjoyed seeing it here. Not sure if anyone mentioned it but the North Platte Canteen was a lunch counter at the Union Pacific Railroad station that fed over 6 million soldiers that came through there on trains during WWII, all served and staffed by volunteers, many that road a train to get there.

I watch a lot of RV videos, but this is the first of yours, Probably because I too have driven NE 2 from Alliance east all the way to the Missouri River at Nebraska City. Had visited the Black Hills and then the Museum of the Fur Trade in Chadron and went to Alliance for the solar eclipse in 2017. At Carhinge and nearby they were asking $150 for parking your RV for Sunday night, so I stayed 2 miles north of there. Leaving I spur of the moment opted for highway 2 and in the afternoon arrived at Halsey and the Bessey Recreation Area of the Nebraska National Forest. Nice campground for $11 a night. The path of the eclipse followed highway 2 fairly closely and so there were people everywhere. I was just trying to get out of there!

What a thoughtful comment - thank you, Jeffrey! We are so fortunate to have the ability to slow down, take the scenic route and find the beauty in unexpected places. Before full-time RVing, our travels were limited to a week vacation where you feel like you have to fit everything into this condensed time frame. It's a flawed system which is why we decided to do things our own way, so glad to have you along for the adventure 🤗

I had two Gremlins, they were chick magnets. I was teaching a girlfriend how to drive a 3 speed manual trans, she dropped the clutch on a washboard road and rolled it in the ditch. Bought a second one a few days later. Not long after a guys knocks on our door and asked if the wrecked one was for sale, he builds race cars out of Gremlins, he left that day with two Gremlins. Replaced those Gremlins with a Chevrolet Vega Wagon, named it Naughty Vega... don't give a 16 year old boy a station wagon... things happen. LOL

I had to give Ron Greiner your 1st place medal today 😉 I'd like to take credit and say I planned the whole stick that looked like a Broken Bow in Broken Bow thing, but it was just one of those happy coincidences. I'm sure those are some interesting stories your friend has! I had no idea about the car forest in Nevada, they are everywhere! There used to be a bunch of Airstreams buried in the ground like that near Tampa, FL but they pulled them out a few years ago. You can find pictures if you google Airstream Ranch.

I sold an old Chevy Vega in Nebraska just east of there and wonder if it was the one sitting up on top?

When I was young, I wanted a Gremlin. Something about it was cute. Don’t know what it was. Ended up with a Datsun. 😀

I inherited a Gremlin from my mother as my first car. It never ran. That’s when I started thinking yellow cars are lemons.

Until recently we have never had an issue getting into a HH. We’re assuming it has something to do with the influx of new RVers this year. Thank you for watching and following along. 🙂

My first car was a Gremlin. Hated that car. I was embarrassed every time I crossed paths with friends in town.......claimed I borrowed it from someone.
