STI (Sediment Transport Index)
One of the main functions of check dams is to reduce sediment yield and transport of sediment associated contaminants to receiving water bodies.
Stream Power Index (SPI)
Flood damages and river channel erosion are highly dependent on the magnitude of flow factors including stream power, shear stress, and velocity.
Terrain Ruggedness Index (TRI)
The TRI, in turn, is one of the main factors which affects stream energy, surface storage capacity, runoff velocity, and routing at the watershed scale . The TRI expresses the amount of elevation deference between neighboring cells.
Topographic Wetness Index (TWI)
The TWI provides an alternative for understanding the spatial pattern of wetness and upslope contributing areas

Thank you.
Sir, it's very helpful, kindly upload the next videos (suitability for check dams, percolation tanks, etc.)
Highly helpful...please upload its next part soon
Informative video
Very helpful, thank you
Thank you very much
Please kindly upload Next part of Video too.. especially flood mapping
@Tech tricks Sir, Why 10x10 for focal statistics, is there any specific reason? and when will the video on identification of locations of check dams and percolation tanks come???
It helped me greatly, but I can't load the reference files please!
Sir Please upload 2nd part regarding suitable locations for different structures.
please do it in QGIS too.
Valuable Video..
Thank you Mr.Kasun
@@techtricks4569 can you please upload the next video for identifying the suitable sites for different structures.
i see u doing wrong on slope raster.. it suppose to be reprojected to meter projection (UTM.. etc).. now, we can see your slope raster is one value only.. 89++..
In order to calculate Spi or any other standard indices it is necessary to see if data is normally distributed or not, how do we do that with tif file format sir. Please make a video on this
In tutorial using DEM image not The Other Raster Image like Landsat or sentinel so its pixel already distributed by elevation
sir, kindly upload second part please
Mujhe flood mapping ka kaam krna hai... Plz help me...
tottally wrong
