Please dont join BDS course without Pure interest in dental subjects. The first two years are almost similiar to medicine but the dental subjects are very different which includes alot of preclinical works. scope of practice and employnment status of BDS graduate is decreasing day by day not because the field is saturated. Just because the students entering BDS doesnt have an idea of the course and they start comparing with rest of the other courses majorily MBBS, Engineering during undergraduate studies.

This bridge course might provide a relief to patients but not in urban but only in rural areas because after this course one would only be posted to remote areas where others MBBS graduate would not prefer...and this bridge course would not let someone use MBBS after his/her name or neither one can do Pg after that except dental subjects...and this bridge course will only create a BDS to become a mid level practitioner just like a community health officer...so instead of this course go for MDS,,or if u want to practice proper medicine course appear for neet ug and take full time MBBS course this would be beneficial..... dentistry is such a sorted course but due to higher level negligence this course is becoming a completely saturated and a big mess.if in a year 20000 bds graduate passed out then how can one survive in this competitive world...so before selecting a course one should see the pros and cons rather blindly joining and regretting later.

Hey!! OMFS is a very difficult branch. It takes a lot of time to set foot and settle in this speciality. Comes with it is a lot of patience and perseverance. If you expect quick money and settling down once done with MDS, it's highly unlikely until you have some background of the same.
The income could be anywhere around 50k to 2lakhs per month.
Now cosmetic dentistry and aesthetics largely depends on the area where you want to put up. A metropolitan city will do major good. Now, since people are gravitating more towards aesthetics these days, things will turn positive with time.
