vincru12000 yes 2, 5 and 12 are definitely going to be a struggle. I actually only have 17 left. I forgot to cross out 18. I’m going to marathon the rest of these babies, because a sprint is going to be way too taxing.
Rogue 121 oh man. I have always loved 48. Don’t get me wrong 49 is a sweet cover too, but 48 has always been that iconic cover for me. Thanks for stopping by brother.
nice. You can Watchmen this or Infinite Crisis that but the first 60 issues of the FF were the most groundbreaking comics ever. Lee & Kirby were the Lennon & McCartney of comics and FF was their Sgt Pepper
Darwin Blinks yeah. I love reading them. They are so good and I actually think they are way more interesting to read than early x-men which I consider my favorite team. Love it.
Fabulous score Alex. To be that close to a complete Kirby FF run is exciting. Hopefully you can convert those extras into those early FF you need. Completing a classic run like this is a special kind of nerdy accomplishment. God bless buddy.
Great fantastic for run. Shame it didn't include number 52 but to get 48 49 and 50 made that worth it right there a :-). Good to see you have multiple copies of that, you'll be happy about that in about another year or so.
Wow!!!! Maaaan. This was beautiful! Great time to grab all of these, and to have 48, 49 and 50? Sweet! I might have to hit you up sometimes soon to see if you are getting rid of one of the #55 issues.
Excellent FF books my friend. Those silver age books are a thing of beauty! FF #50 Is definitely a book I need to pick up eventually, as I got 48 and 49 last year. Take care brother, love ya!
Spidercomics 7 thanks brother. Yeah I’ve never owned the three together. It’s kinda nice to have the trifecta! Best of luck with the collection this year.
cougarcomics yes. I’m excited to see how the collection shapes up this year. I’ll probably have the majority except 2 and 5. Those books are just expensive.
@@AlextheComicHoarder About 4 years ago a local dealer had a cgc4.0 FF 5 for sale. He wanted $1000 and at the time that was a little high. 2 years ago as the book started to go up, he had it at a show and I just could not pull the trigger. About a month after that I decided I would go for it and of course when I got to his store he had sold it. I chocked on that one!
Comic Books NYC haha. True true. Except I’m terrible at participating in #days. I’m lucky if I post anything. But I’m trying to get better. You’re the man!!!!
These are gorgeous! I hear your excitement. I bet these smell great. No one accept Byrne has ever been able to capture the FF magic. This is the series that got me into collecting. Take care brother.
Nighttiger thanks brother. I’m definitely into the golden and silver age comic smells!!! This collection has all the Byrne run as well. I haven’t read any of it, but I will definitely check it out soon. It’s in my to do list.
The Martian ComicHunter yeah brother. I’m excited to get there. I’m going to try and buckle down and concentrate on knocking the majority out this year. I’ll be selling some books early this year. So that should find some of these.
Wow man wow is all I can say those are some awesome covers and don't have any Fantastic Four in my collection but seeing this video makes me want to go out and get a few old School Fantastic Four books they just might be a little too expensive for me but when I definitely want to get as Fantastic Four 49 I love that cover awesome job buddy and thank you for the 7 ate 9 code I've been buying quite a bit from them
Ruben Nieves that’s awesome to hear. Thanks for supporting 7ate9comic. Some of the non-key fantastic four issues are relatively affordable. The bonus with those cheap issues is...great stories by Stan Lee and awesome art by jack Kirby.
Luther Manning yeah. I wish I had the funds last year to grab mike’s restored FF5, but maybe He’ll have something this year and we can make a deal. Keep me in mind if you talk to him. Thanks brother.
DON COMIC BOOK JUNKIE thanks brother. I went through a very small collection today and picked out a lot of books that you show. Conan, GI etc etc. I’ll send you some pictures on IG soon.
A nice score of “old school” F. F.s! While I collect primarily Horror & Sci. Fi. Books now a days, I can still appreciate ALL Silver-age Comic Books - besides, ya can’t go wrong with Lee/Kirby Books of any genre! :€)
Mark Turley thanks brother. I bought a Sci if golden age goody yesterday and will show it soon. Startling comics 44! Great graham Ingels cover. I’m really excited to get it.
also wanted to add I've got FF #57 (my favorite Kirby artwork in one comic ever) signed by Stan himself at the Chicago Comic Con in 2014. I was so excited when I put the comic in front of him I scared Stan lol
That's a super haul, Alex! Congrats! I've been working on a FF run from 44 to 72 recently. I'm looking for decent copies of 62 and 65 if you have any extras available.
Was hoping you’d go back and grab these. Did you mention he also had a run of Avengers or something? Doom is gonna be tough cause it’s likely to spike in the next couple years. So you might have to be patient or start looking now. Maybe sell off a bunch of those doubles now? Anyway, great haul, great FF collection. Gratz Alex 👍
eye on the prize my friend. Really nice run your putting together. Those early FF books are getting pricier and more expensive as time goes by. Unfortunate, but will make it all the sweeter when you complete the run.
ManFromBeantown yeah. I feel like I should be able to trade possibly for a few of the books on my list with these. We will see. I don’t really want to sell them, but might if I have to and put the money towards something I need for the run. Thanks brother.
Skot Nealey heck yes!!! If you love the silver age books...get them. It’s awesome that you can get a lot of great books for under $10! Get enough of them and you have an instant silver age awesome collection. Keep me updated brother.
@@AlextheComicHoarder in my Saturday haul (Fantastic ...pt. 2) i got some silver...even a $30 Jimmy Olsen. I really want Superboy #52 (1965), it's at my comic shop for $50...but it feels insane to pay that much for paper.
Nice haul man! Quick question: where do you find back issues in the st. Louis area?? I'm from southern il and try to find some shops to run in when we are in the area, but I've never found a place that sells anything but new stuff.
Have a question about your mylars. What size bags and boards are you using for these FF comics. I have a collection of FF myself and want to move them from the old poly bags to mylar. From watching your channel I can see that they present better. thank you.
Robert G thanks for the question. The Mylar I use is E Gerber Mylite 2 (2ml) Standard Size. I also use Standard Size Fullbacks. The reason I use that size is the Comics fit into the Shortbox perfectly. The silver/gold size is just too big to go back into the box. With that said silver/gold could be a better size for the comics, because it will leave plenty of board on all size behind the comic. That is important as the bags are pretty tight with the books in there. Also be very careful putting the books in. Mylar is sharp.
When you're going for a full run, do you ever buy books online or is it strictly about "the hunt" of finding them in person? Curious if you ever buy books you need online if you can't find them while hunting. thanks

Are you considering bundling single copies of multiple that you have , gave all my books many years ago but would like to reconnect with the past , live in Canada , thanks.
Hello, thank you for watching. I am not exactly sure what your question is, but if I understand correctly you are asking if I’ve considered consolidating to have only one copy. In fact I have sold it trades a lot of my keys to get major major keys. I traded a lot of my marvel keys to get All Star Comics 8 the first appearance of Wonder Woman. That is a grail level book in my opinion. So I have consolidated a lot of my collection to that book and a few other very nice keys.
Spidey Knight I use Standard E Gerber mylite 2 and Fullbacks. Sometimes I put regular silver age boards in there. If I do that I put about 4 behind each book.
