Hahahaha, love how you transitioned from the angelic Buddha to the chubby one. Great comic timing. Your channel offers clear and concise information. Thank you.
I'm male, 45 years old. Always felt I had "slightly" chubby cheeks. I heard about buccal fat removal recently but was told it'd make me look older and cause my cheeks to sag. As someone who has recently hit that point in life where gravity is making itself more evident, that didn't seem like a great idea. I worry that if I got a buccal fat removal procedure that I'd have "excess" skin that, at age 45, would look terrible. It's nice to see that you're addressing multiple issues here. It's nice to see that you've considered this and look at the entire facial structure, not just the cheeks. I don't think I've seen a video quite like this.
I have already seen some videos of your channel and I think they are very good! But what would interest me is whether you sometimes remove the buccal fat even partially and whether the scar on the inside of the cheek does not bother. It must be set in a place that does not lead to bite yourself in the cheek when eating, right?
Good questions. When I perform facelifts I typically perform conservative buccal fat pad removal. The scar on the inside of the cheek can be bothersome for a week or two and may even open up partially. Fortunately these issues resolve quickly in the vast majority of cases.
I've always been relatively lean but I've always had fat in my cheeks. Would you recommend this procedure to someone with a lean, athletic build but still holding more fat than normal in their cheeks? Even if removed moderately?
I have seen people get fatter looking faces as they age. This buccal fat = youth myth has got to die. I got the surgery and I look younger and more sculpted as a male.
Hey we're the same! I'm only 25 and my face was thinner when I was a teenger. I exercise a lot and am underweight according to my BMI but my cheeks are so puff like wtf. I had the surgery done 3 weeks ago and im starting to see the results and I'm loving it!
It has got to be a myth my face was chiseled and lean when I was younger. I’m 23 now and look like a squirrel face. It looks like I’m bloated and have no facial structure at all and I am slightly underweight!
I always find it funny how the people criticising this procedure completely overlook the fact that Old Fat people still look older than Young Thin people.. fatness is not the definition of youth

Thank you for the kind words and acknowledgment
If your face ever sags, you can always get a face lift. I think people overexaggerate the face sagging.

You would really need to be examined to determine the anatomy of your concern and we can take it from there.
@@jonathanzelkenmd Totally fair. Thank you for responding

I agree with this. A lot of men get puffy faces as they age , Putin is one example.
Im gonna do this too.

And know how is your face?

It’s important to discriminate between buccal fat and subcutaneous fat
