YOU’RE SUCH A LIFESAVER the head always ends up looking weird when i follow other tutorials but this one’s perfect ! thank you so much !!!
You’re so welcome! I’m glad you love it
girly you are a queen, this is one of the simplest patterns I've ever seen for a snake. You made my life so much better. TYSM
This tutorial was amazing. I’m starting to get serious about crocheting and I’ve made a collection of stuffed animals. I recommend this tutorial for anyone who know the basic stitches and want to create an animal. ❤
Omg! Thank you so much for the comment. I'm so happy you enjoyed it.
I AM a beginner that knows some basic stitches and really recommend this snake, its really easy and cool
The head was so easy to follow along and it turned out so adorable, now for the super long body. Your instructions are clear and precise and is super easy to follow with basic crocheting skills
Yay! I’m so glad it was easy to follow. The body does seem like it’s never going to end sometimes but it will be so worth it. You can also change how long you want it to be by adding or taking away rows.
As a beginner that knows some stitches, this was really easy to follow and I now have a little snake friend for my fourth ever project! Thanks!
Thank you for this comment you’ve made me believe I can do it, may I ask if you used a fluffy yarn like in the video or a different, good luck and hope your crochet journey continues to go well❤
@@Shan-2024 fluffy but not as thick so I adjusted my hook by a half mm size 😊
It worked great! I say if you are a beginner and you go by seeing things this isnt really good but she does a great job explaining stuff and my snake turned out pretty good! (I made the tail longer just because I was using thicker yarn)
Wow I did not understand the decrease stitch at all until I watched this video! Thank you for your explanation!
You are welcome!
Love how you formed the head, best one I've seen
Made this with skinny glow in the dark yarn and a 2.5 hook. Added a tongue. Turned out pretty cool. Will def reuse pattern with blanket yarn some day.
I just got my first plush yarn and i immediately wanted to make a snake 😂 thank you!
This video is amazing! I thought it might be hard doing a snake, but it was so simple, easy, and it didn't even take me that long to do! I'm so happy with how it turned out. Thank you very much!
This tutorial so was amazing and easy to follow! The process was long but the snake turned out so cute. For beginner like me it was great confidence boost. Thank you for amazing tutorial.
So cute 🥰. Great job girly 👍🏻. From one content creator to another I can say that your set up is very clean and professional ❤
Thank you so much!❤️
If you do (2sc, Dec) on R11 the head will be attached so much smoother 😊 I hope this helps
Thanks for the tip!
I just got an entire roll of chenile yarn and a crochet hook from my friend, so now I'm trying to learn!
As a beginner myself, I LOVED this tutorial so much! Thank you for creating it!!!
You are so welcome! I'm happy you loved it
Tysm! I have this to my friend and she loved it! I hope ur business goes well you’ll get very far in life!
Thank you so much!
2:25 she starts the tutorial
Thx
My savior 😂
Too much talking.
❤ so cute! I have seen others with oddly shaped heads. My Grandson is so funny. He liked it and said looks quick. He also so another one but thought it looked like candy corn because of the colors.
I’m glad you like it. My main goal was to make a head that has a noticeable top and bottom to the shape like real snakes.
Thank u soooo much! I just finished it! I can’t wait to finish an even bigger snake! So excited! Thank u!
I think I might use it his for a strawberry pattern the head looks great
I only just started and I'm in love with your channel you make this really easy thank you 💓
I just made one, love it and loved the video :)
I've only ever made blankets and hats (so I'd say I'm a beginner for anything involving more than one repetitive stitch) and tried this tutorial because I have a leftover skein of chunky yarn and want to try something new, your video is amazing! very beginner friendly and easy to follow along ♡ I've just finished the head and had no problems at all getting there and learning new techniques. can't wait to finish it off c:
Yay! I'm so happy you are enjoying the pattern. I am going to be posting a penguin pattern soon which will be beginner friendly too.
Wow you're such a talented ❣️❣️. Thank you keep creating & keep following you 😉..done ✅🙏
This is so helpful and you explain it so well.
Omg it turned out so cute ily so much for this idea
I starting making one of these without a pattern then I open UA-cam and it’s like “Hey! Your already making one of these but how about a tutorial because you suck at everything!” But I watched this anyways so thanks for the patten. I wrote it down so k can compare it to mine later. Have a great day
Well I’m glad that worked out! It’s creepy how well my phone knows me but I can also be helpful lol. Enjoy your snake!
I love this pattern, and considering I love snakes and crochet this was perfect!
Thank you! 😊
I love this so much!❤ I will be doing this for my nephews!❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love this pattern so much!!! I’ve made so many snakes😅😅 thank you ❤
You’re welcome!!!❤️
I chose pink and now it looks like a pp. cool guide tho
That’s amazing 😭
Umm...what do you mean by that😭😰😳😳
Help I’m just now seeing this as I’m making the head pink
Slayyyyy😂😅
😂😂😂😂
I loved this!!! Little guy looks so cute!
I’m glad you love it!
Thats super cute il definitely trying it !!
Thank you!!
Thank you!
@@makaylafriend ofcc!!
the result is so cute
You are a life saver thank you ❤️
such a good tutorial!! my snake is sooo cute!!! i used 12mm safty eyes and it is soooo cute!!! i also used a 5mm hook!
Thank you for the recipe!! Just finished 4 of them
You are so welcome!
I did it in white and it turned out very well 😊
I ended up doing 135 rows lol I like how a longer snake looks
How do i always end up with extra stitches?!? I dont understanddddd😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Don't count the stitch on your hook! Also make sure to use a stitch marker, it's a life saver for me.
Fantastic video, my snake turned out great!
Great to hear! I'm glad you enjoyed it❤
This is very help full tysm. I was struggling with any other tutorial for any animal but this is by far the easiest for me ❤️
Yay! I'm happy this helped. I feel like snakes are a great way to start since they are a simple shape.
@@makaylafriend snakes are my favorite thats why i decided to do it and didnt realize how easy it was
Me when I heard the next 67 rows😳😳👀👀👀👀👀
You can always make it shorter lol. They aren't many stitches so that helps too. But I would have probably reacted the same😂
I made this for my sister and she LOVED it!
I'm so happy she loved it!
Hey um im still struggling with the 6 single chrochet part at the beginning do you have any tutorials on how to understand how to do that?i dont understand what im doing wrong i keep retrying and making a blob
I actually just posted one yesterday which may help you.
If you do the DEC. like she saud, try this:
1. pull through the first mesh
2. pull through the second Mesh
3. pull through the First and second loop of the three (Hope you understand my explanation)
4. and then finally through the remaining two loops
That is looking better when you do DEC in yarn where you can See the stiches very well (I Hope you understood my explanation and I could help you
But PS: I tried it, and you can do it like she Said on this pattern (that was better, sorry) but in other patterns with other whool It's really helpful :)
I loved this sooooooo much it was super cute and easy to make
I tried it!!!! ITS THE BEST TUTORIAL IN THE WHOLE INTIRE UNIVERSE ❤
I’m glad you like it! Thank you.
@@makaylafriend can you please make a beginner friendly cow tutorial 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤❤
I will have to look into what I could do. I'm still learning to make patterns so it's a slow process for me too lol
@@makaylafriend it's ok , don't worry . Whenever you have time ❤️
@@VDS333-s5r I am almost done creating a pretty simple penguin pattern that would be great for beginners. I just need to create the tutorial and it will most likely be posted within the month
I have a question ? If i do an invisible decrease and just take the 2 front stich at the same time and yarn over at the same time , will my pattern be ruined
900th like! You're a lifesaver
I love snakes, and this was a great pattern to follow along to :D thank u sm
You're so welcome!
I love this pattern! It was quite easy to follow along with except sometimes I couldn’t keep up and that problem was easily fixed by just pausing, haha! I made three of these in different colors. One problem I had was that I had to redo most of it because I use safety eyes and I forgot to put them in before I went too far on the tail. :) Wishing a great new year to you.
I have see some people will use high quality glue to secure safety eyes if they forget to put them in. I just dont personally use them so that I can sell to children under the age of 3
@@makaylafriend yep! That makes sense, but I make my plushies for friends and family (also myself) and I know that they can be safe with the eyes in the plushie :)
I MADE A CHUNKY SNAKE AND ITS SO FREAKING ADORABLE
Im a beginner and i DIDNT really get any of this but yeah hopefully everyone else did
This is a beginner Amigurumi tutorial. If you have never crocheted, you’ll want to start with something square or rectangular.
Well good luck on your crochet journey I’m a beginner too
Great pattern! Making one for my daughter. Just one question, which side of the head is the top? Is it the side with 6 dec or is it the opposite side of the 6 dec? Thanks! 😊🐍
The side with 6 decreases is the top. That way the bottom of the head is flat. It helps it sit on a table. Thank you so much for using my pattern!
Your video is awesome. Thank you for the snake pattern.
Glad it was helpful!
is there a difference way to do invisible decrease? I learned a different way which is to get 2 front loops and pull thru idk how to explain it.......but either way it's still an invisible decrease but I understand it better.
Whatever works for you is best!
Thank you so much for this pattern! Once before for a little friend and he loved it, had a quick question though on my first snake I used plush yarn but could I use medium weight yarn As well for this pattern?
I haven’t but I would assume it would work. If you decide to try, let me know how it turned out. I’m happy you loved the pattern!
ok wait so when u mean first chain spotlike the one that is the first top one or the one below the highest chain spot
The very first chain you made. The one that is attached to the yarn tail. I hope that makes sense
my husband stumbled across your toturital , and said it would be a nice stufed toy for our cats, you never said to close off each row, or to chain one after a row, my head looks alright, now im working on the body part
I didn’t say to do that because I don’t do that. I continue crocheting without chaining one. It creates a smoother transition when doing single crochets. It prevents the seam line that is created with the slip stitch and chain one that you are talking about.
Okay im gonna start this now, ill let you guys know how I went !!
How’d it go?
@@Kohzou_EmojiCati made it using a beige color and it looked like a d*** so i stopped NAH
@@dhanvimittu LMAO- RIP THOUGH 😭
thanks for this video! i’m gonna get the materials before making though
You are so welcome! I hope you enjoy the pattern. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions.
How does it hold up if you do additional rows to make it longer? Is it too floppy?
As long as you stuff it as you crochet, it should be ok!
Im watching UA-cam on my tv. I dont have Instagram.
I made a tapeworm using this perfect pattern
Out of pure curiosity, how long did this take you to make it? 20 minutes? 30 minutes? An hour? I am a beginner crocheter and do not have a lot of time on my hands. Just curious as to how much time I need to set up to make one.
I don’t usually finish many of my projects in one sitting so it’s hard to say. I would guess I finished this project within 1.5 hours.
Well her video is great and I believe she is a good crotcher because she made a pattern
😊
Thank you for the free pattern.
You are so welcome! I am always trying to find affordable patterns so I figured it would be great if I could make some to share with others.
Hey, i love the snake so much!
Thank you!
Love this thank you!! May I ask what the name of the color is?
It is the color key lime from premier parfait chunky
@@makaylafriend thank you!!
You’re so welcome!
you cant see what she doing have the time she is out of frame
I am in the frame the whole time. I double checked to make sure. If there are parts you are struggling with, let me know! I also have a written pattern linked in the description if that helps.
For me I can’t see it I’m on my phone
But love the voice
@@AnimEdits_OGI cant see it either
This was the best 👌 👍 😍
I CANT DO IT I,M CRYINGG
Not me using a 15 mm 💀💀💀
That's ok, I have been experimenting with different crochet hook sizes. It's really all based on your yarn and tension.
@@makaylafriend I'm using a 2.5 mm 😅
@@curtissmith222 this just goes to show how different everyone crochets😂
I’m using thread.. for some reason.
i was wondering whether your ok with people selling the finished product at a local market, is that ok?
Of course! You are always more than welcome to sell finished products that are from my patterns.
@@makaylafriend thank you so much! Im prepping to hopefully sell some stuff at my first market soon with my mums help, and this is such a simple yet perfect thing for me!
I hope your first market goes well!
Is there any chance I could get the link to the yarn please, I can't seem to find it, thank you
There is a link in my description that will take you to the website. It is part of the parfait selection of yarns and is called parfait chunky. That link will also get you 10% off your purchase if it's your first time buying the yarn.
This is such an easy design! I already made one, im 10 btw!
Wow! That is awesome. I’m so happy you like the pattern.
I'm having a baby brother I want to make a crochet for him thank you for the tut
Thank u so much for this pattern it’s so easy ☺
You are so welcome!
Tnxxx i love this pattern@@makaylafriend
When you say to put it in the first one at the beginning of the video for the chains do you mean the first one we chained or the one closest to the hook?
The first one you chained
@@makaylafriend ok thank you! Oh and also can you use acrylic yarn for it or does it have to be that fluffy yarn?
@@StrawberryCowCosmetics you can but some people don’t like how it looks because it will be super small.
@@makaylafriend Oh okay! Thank you!🫶
6:16 I’ve been using stitch markers this entire time-
i love? it thank you
I am being honest here. I am not that beginner and I have done a lot of animals in crochet but I didnt understande the first step you were doing. It was very hard for me to catch up even if I paused it. So saddly I could never finish it
The first step is to chain 2. Then you will do 6 single crochets into the first hole. If you’re talking about how to make a slip knot, that is not part of this tutorial and was simply me trying it a new way. I hope this helped explain the first step.
So helpful thank youuu❤️
So glad you found it helpful!
I recently bought fluffy yarn and it’s the only soft yarn I have, so mine will be a fluffy snake 😵💫
Hi! Can I use a 5 mm crochet hook with the same yarn for this?
Yes! I’ve actually started using a 5mm
@@makaylafriend ok, thanks!!
12:37 so good
I have fluffy yarn. I bought it thinking I was gonna make a blanket, but I ended up not making.😂
I love this pattern but for some reason my invisible decreases are still visible when it comes to stuffing, can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong please?
You may need to use a smaller hook size. If you already have a looser tension when you crochet, it will be more noticeable on the decreases. I always try to tighten my tension when I decrease. Practice will also improve this if you are still new to crochet. My first stuffed animal project is fun of gaps where I decreased. There are also a few other ways to do invisible decreases that you may like better.
That's helpful thank you! I will look into other ways to invisible decrease but I think you hit the nail on the head - practice, practice and more practice 😊
Thank you so much
No problem!
So when I get to the skinny body part, I think when I do the single crochets it starts increasing. Do you think you can help me?
My only tips would be to make sure you are only doing 10 single crochets on each row and to try to tighten your tension. Otherwise it shouldn’t get bigger. Hope that helps some!
@@makaylafriend omg thank you that really helped me! Now I have this gorgeous snake! Have a nice Valentine’s Day!
I would love to do this pattern but how would you go about adding stripes?
You would just do color changes. If you search how to color change on Amigurumi there should be some tutorials to help you out
My rating of the tutorial:
7.5/10
What I want for it:
Please make a tongue
Cool
what if my snake's body has a little bit more than 67 rows, and it's a bit longer? is that a problem?
No it’s not
i don’t understand how to go to the first stitch😭
are you stuffing the body and tail as you go?
Yep!
Hola ,por favor necesito subtitulos en español gracias
