Do you have an equivalent video for key reads when driving to the middle?

You’ll want to check out one of our recent videos on 2 level reads. This will cover the majority of situations when you’re driving middle & what you need to recognize.

Where do you think the 5th player should space? Fill, ball side wing, ball side slot, top?

I believe that is system specific. Some coaches will want them to fill in behind the drive, some will have them stay at the top of the key, etc. Personally, I don’t think that 5th player impacts the play too often unless the ball gets kicked to the hammer or slot, and then gets reversed again (that would be where the 5th player would usually be). Great question! Thanks for following the channel

When you drive middle, your reads will be a little different. If you haven’t, check out our tik-tok video on 2 level reads. The full video will drop on YT by the weekend and it should answer your question!

No idea where you get these names from "t-Up" "hammer pass" say these in any rec setting and nobody would have a clue

You can just say corner, wing, short corner/dunkers spot, these are all well known not these obscure names. Like what is a slot man it has zero description

If you google these names nothing comes up lol you are pulling these out of thin air.

I was taught these terms when I played in the Big XII by my coach who was an NBA veteran. I don’t say that to flex, I’m just giving context. If you spend time around college or NBA coaches, this is the terminology they use. And I just googled “hammer pass basketball” and there were pages of videos, breakdowns, and articles about it.
