Bed Straightening Ep20

The Bed is Bent! So I decided to straighten it using extra steel, with the added benefit of the bed clearing the fuel tanks. This clearance of an extra 50 mm would help in the routing of plumbing or wiring etc.
Unfortunately I lost the video footage of the completed job!

Great to see you found a work around for it.
For the spring rails on the subframe how many will you have on each side?
The great thing is these trucks are made to take a beating. With your work around and the subframe the habitat and cab should good to go ...right?

Yes it was annoying to find this out after testing on the truck. I’ll have 6 points of contact in total. 3 on each side. 2 of which will be the rubber bungs and one fixed. The fixed point of contact being in the back of the chassis. I think 3 points of contact over a 4.5 meter length would be adequate.
