- Ralf Schumacher driving his 2003 Williams FW25 around the Müllenbachschleife during the Red Bull Formula Nürburgring 2023.
This was the second demo event of the car after it was completely rebuild last year.
I love that Ralf still does these show laps and gets back into the car for events. I just wish Michael was there to join him in the F2004 😢
Michael is unfortunantly vegetably disabled now, we have known for many years. accept reality instead of dreaming.

To think that Ralf takes his FW25's seat and still goes strong even at the age of 48 is so amazing
He is really on it, you see the pure talent, just go and flat out great performance

He certainly did not go flat out here, but you can see the Red Bull Ring video where he went as fast as his age permits. He set a time of roughly 1:08.1 with a hefty detune on the engine.
They say the 2004 cars would get wrecked by modern ones, but this just shows that it is not true. Give them slicks and today's drivers and they would give modern F1 a run for its money.
The 2026 regulations will slow them down by at least another 5-7 seconds, I bet they'd have a hard time keeping up with Häkkinen's 90s McLarens.
I remember leaving the highway to the closeby Hungaroring and hearing the F1 cars practising already. You already know, something big is going on. V10 I miss you.
I was there at the Dunlop Curve, absolute insane how fast and LOUD these Cars are! Wish i had the chance to watch a Race in 2003 with over 20 of these cars

Oh sure the era where overtaking was practically non existent. The era where people thought it was boring, despite the wonderful sound. Bring the v10 era back!
Well, most of it was due to aero wash, which the V10 is no cause of. With modern technology we would easily be able to relive the V10s without much dirty air. They would be a lot lighter than the current cars, might also be a lot more powerful due to their power to weight ratio and on top of that, they would sound like real F1 cars again
@SixthyGTi It is a possibility with sustainable fuels. That's their main issue is that they use too much fuel.
Let's hope some rich Saudi prince buys F1 and dictates its rules to be what it was 20+ years ago.
Nothing beats the ear splitting sound of V10's

2023 Not a bad year for F1 but frankly 85-95 were truly the golden years of F1.
I was at the montreal race in 2004. I've never heard sounds like this since. No video can do this experience justice. These sounds can elicit excitement today's cars can't even speak to.

@jonasjonaitis8571 Thats the biggest pile of baloney. Sure, a tire war makes for faster tires, however the cars back then would've been even quicker on developed slicks.Its common sense.
He was using it very carefully but it seems he was happy to run it. Beautyfull times🎉
4:00 looks like when he starts to feel the tires up to temp and pushes. Had smoked the other cars long before then. And then laps them with ease. Beast
I could watch and listen to these cars all day, much better than the garbage they throw at you today.

Noch Anfang der Neunziger habe ich Ralf live im Kart am Heidbergring bei Hamburg gesehen, für mich das Eleganteste überhaupt. Für mich einer der am meisten unterschätzten Fahrer der F1.

Correct... these tires were also used during the Legends Parade event on the RedBullRing last year. Perfectly fine for demo runs... It's not that we're doing quali runs or something.

Esse motor v10 ele não e de velocidade tão baixa i sim bem alto se estiver de fone de ouvido aumente o volume um pouco no nível bem ótimo para se ouvir que você verá que o barulho não está tão baixinho como tu pensas e porque o barulho e bem alto se pegar os vídeos de todas as pré temporadas na Espanha nos testes e nos treinos livres e de classificação ira ver e ouvir que o barulho e insurdencedor se tú falais que está bem baixo e e por que ele estava era revivendo os otimos e inesquecíveis quando ele era piloto da equipe e ele está rodando passeando com carro bem devagar e fazendo uma descontração e so entendeu irmão em tão w busca informações que você vai ver entender e compreender ta bom irmão em tão uma ótima semana uma ótima tarde e ate lá gostei do vídeo show que beleza de creuza irmão valeu 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 nota 💯 acelera Ralf schumacher irmão de Michael Schumacher hepta campeão mundial de fórmula 1 e se não sabe chau chau

New grooved Michelins from that era are really hard to get these days... Pirelli on the other hand was able to suply us on a relatively short notice when we rebuild and ran the car for the first time in almost 20 years last year at the RedBull Ring. These are those same tyres. Or would you rather be running on 20 year old (display) tyres? 🤔

V10 sound at lower speeds....wind noise drowning it out at slightly higher speeds....lmao
What can I say. Our GoPro was set-up by the event onboard camera guys. There surely is a way to get rid of some of that windnoise in post production, but hey.. I figured I'd share this video with people who can appriciate it for what it is.
