Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

I like how Spurgeon has so much content. When most sermons today have 15 mins. of content and then 45 min. of stories and jokes.

I wonder if Spurgeon ever considered how far his messages would reach. All these years later and they are probably even more relevant now than they were back then. It’s quite amazing. I will look for him in heaven to give my appreciation.

What l find incredible and hope giving is that Spurgeon suffered spells of black depression between the periods he gave these uplifting sermons.
He said he rejoiced in those times because he knew when they lifted, the Holy Spirit would always inspire him to share the Word.
Spurgeon was a no nonsense man of God that we lack today in most American churches!
This sermon inspires the listeners to bend their knees before the Lord, open their hearts and mouths to pray in earnestness, humility and spirit . May the BLESSED forever and ever.
I feel I haven’t started my Christian race at all listening to this message from the throne of mercy.
I truly thank God for allowing me to hear these very informative and reassuring messages. Incredible how from the time he wrote this in 1860’s to 1870’s, here I am 2019 feeding off of this. God bless his soul.

The late C. H. Spurgeon did not lack his heart, mind, and hand where God's word needed to be delivered.
Oh how far have I fallen. My faith turned to pride and I thought I could learn of enemy and not rely on our fathers understanding. In doing that I began to believe the enemy and doubt stirred in my heart and I began to fall and great was my fall. Only God almighty can lift me up with His loving Arms. Keep faith, keep focus, pick up the cross daily and deny yourself daily because the enemy roams like a lion waiting for those unaware to devour them and turn them into Hell.

The men who spoke during that old age but there message remain true and relevant to this age 2022. This is being listened after 199 years. I need to leave behind a record of my life through the gospel.
Spurgeon's words are a blessing to listen in a time of question by giving guidance and assurance. He comes from an age that still respected God. He reminds us that we need to search, study, and reflect on the scriptures without worry.

I love this message and this man has a wonderful voice for narration, I wish he did all of Surgeon’s messages. I would have to buy the series so I could hear the messages in this voice, I listen to other narrators, but this voice is soothing listening to Gods’ scriptures! I listen to this mans sermons every night while going to sleep, his representation of Gods’ Holy Word is precious to hear, he gives the stern yet loving side of our Father and Savior.🙏
We pray not only bc the Holy Spirit prompts us and the Lord Jesus intercede for us, but God the Father himself loves us. Amen! His sermon correct us on the idea of the Father as though he is not willing to hear us but only bc of Christ. Instead he is most willing to hear us giving us the Lord Jesus and his spirit. God bless your reading.
