Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

I know he never could have imagined people regularly listening to and reading his sermons in the year 2020 on a little personal computer/ communicator called an IPhone. This is January 4th, 2022. I am listening this message for the first as l seek the Father’s face in prayer and Fasting. So powerful and applicable in this hour. Thank you for this video and other by the servant of God. 🙏
I always had this question in my mind, on how to pray ,to me praying was so difficult I wasnt sure if I was praying enough or am I praying right ,but after hearing Charles spurgeon, I am not afraid anymore, now I want to pray even more ,now I can pray from my heart, such power in his sermon, thank you lord that even today Charles words still has power to bring change
And he shall set the solitary in famiiies… that's what I earnestly pray for - for the elderly, sickly and homeless... anyone who is alone and needs you father. That they find love and Jesus in their life - bc I know we can find you even if we haven't been witnessed to - you can still find us. My heart cries out for the people in this world who don't know you yet and for the ones who do know you but are not awake to what is happening and not seeing the signs of your very soon return. Lastly I pray for myself Lord that I get closer and closer to you and get to know you better and better until the day we meet. God bless everyone who reads this post! Amen!

On my way to the University of Essex, I would pass the front door of Charles Spurgeon's home which bears a plaque on the outside in Kelvedon, Essex with his name - the proximity of a mere stone throw away from my home in Witham, Essex...What is so sad is the fact that had #CharlesSpurgeon to awake from his dusty bed to see the condition in Britain today & even his hometown - he would ask God if his works of righteousness while alive were to no avail... What a #BlessedSaint & #MessengerOfGod...
I've never come to this point , about my prayer life . I've also not heard a full sermon from Spurgeon before ! But glad the Algorithm was good today ! 😉
It is difficult to believe that this sermon was written in 1800s; so bright, so free, so ...Jesus like; simply amazzzzzzzzzzing. I listened and then listened again; taking every word in my heart and on paper.
Why is it why you minimize of what Jesus done for you
We sing Just As I Am. He never leaves you as you are. If you are as you were, you have loved sin more than loved God, and its indictment is still evident, foreboding, and wretched. Jesus Christ sets us free as we continue in His Word. Bondage comes from the world's desires. Forsake them, move that mountain of unbelief, cast off that filthy garment, be washed in His blood, and receive Him.
Jesus free me from the fear + doubt that has controlled my life. Replace it with strong desire for intamit walk, + frendship with God, Jesus, + holy spirit. Need to clean + organise my home so that it will be used to glorify you. Thankyou for your answer, in Jesus name.

O Lord we need these kind of preacher for our generation. Please Holy Spirit raise up more preachers Charles Spurgeon and put them in Your pulpits in the entire world. In Jesus mighty name. Absolutely. When I was 7yrs old a nun taught me to speak to God as though He was my truest friend next to me..all day every day. I have done this all my life for over 50yrs. It was the greatest gift Sister St John gave me.
We are not worthy to go directedly to God so that's why He sent His son Jesus Christ

Thank you so much for bringing back this preaching of Pastor Charles Spurgeon. I have always wondered what his preaching was like and now in 2022 I am listening to it with tears in my eyes. My spirit is nourished by the wonderful truths that he gave to his own congregation in the 1800’s. It is amazing these truths are still applicable today. God’s word is truly always relevant.
Absolutely powerful,this truly was meant for me to hear, thank you Lord for speaking to me through this message. I will listen to it again but I am so glad to have heard this on this day 9th August 2021
