Salut Julian. YT m'avais suggéré ta chaine et je la trouve géniale. Comme un grand fan LD, je suis heureux de regarder un geek (comme moi) parler de notre hobby préféré, Un grand Bonjour du Luxembourg!
Some nice titles there. I personally don't collect the movies titles that are otherwise available on modern formats but I would make an exception for many of the ones you showed (Naked Gun, Last Crusade). They're so quintessential, they're worth having on every format. I can totally understand needing to quit a collection. But it's when you decide "I'm not buying any more of these things" that the personal holy grails start jumping up and appearing in your face. Happened to me numerous times and it never fails to draw me back to collecting.
True! I only collect the movies I consider quintessential. Indeed, I do have 'Indiana Jones', 'Back to the Future', 'The Goonies', 'Hook' (etc) on nearly every available home video format. Thanks for watching, commenting, and most of all, subscribing.
Sweet collection. Unfortunately, unless you have buckets to throw away now is the most expensive time in history to get into LDs. There's a disc of TROLL going for $290 on ebay... Yeah.
i was slightly disappointed there are no THX releases of Indiana Jones but i watched the letterbox of Raiders and it sounds really good, it might even be slightly better than the Japanese pressing. Some of the films obviously share a master worldwide you might find one is better but they all come from the same source. CIC video did them everywhere but the us.
The rescuers down under really stuck with me as a kid. Truly special
It's an amazing movie to this day. Really, really good.
The naked gun 2 thumbs up - Great collection
Hilarious comedy, one of my absolute favourites.
I second that. down under was one of disneys best
A truly excellent movie.
I'm glad that they went to a good home!
Sadly, that's not the case. This is a Sodom and Gomorrah-esque home.
@@JulianDeBacker it has fallen into the wrong hands 😈
@@jonathannoble9465 Haha
Cool episode, I'm glad I ran across your channel!! I have a channel that has Laserdiscs from time to time.
cheers!!
Thanks for watching, and thanks for subscribing!

It's quite weird. Just a few years ago, no one wanted LaserDiscs. You could buy 99% of the discs for a few dollars at most.
Ah, ze incredibull shrinking turtles... Parbleu!
Yeah, what was that slip of the tongue about, haha.
fantastic
Thank you very much!

Yeah, a THX release would have been awesome! Thanks for watching.
I got a lot from Criterion Collection and Disney, also Star Wars ail bought around 1990.
Excellent. Still got 'em in your collection?
@@JulianDeBacker Yep. I got almost 300 LD's that I haven't played for years. It may be unplayable for all I know.
@@howellwong11 If you stored them upright, next to each other (not on top), in a dry place, chances are 99% of them will still work like a charm.
@@JulianDeBacker All good. I just hope that you are right. I leave my player on standby, but I haven't used it for years.
@@howellwong11 A fun project for the next time you have a day off with no obligations
Finally checked out this vid.
Did you like it?
Ton anglais est excellent, je me suis rendu compte que tu es Belge plus loin dans la vidéo.
Un grand merci! Quand as-tu réalisé que j'étais belge?
