Thanks for the video Justin. Was clueless opening the box up until I watched your video. Probably saved me a trip to A and E too.

Now all you gotta do is show us you using it on various materials
I’m trying to cut a hole for a sink in a laminate work top for an underslung sink
I have never used a router before

Great, no problem. My next video is actually a bit of a blog; but using the router, look out for that. This week I'm fitting a kitchen and will be using it and filming it, so plenty to see from the erbauer router soon 👍

Just remembered this video after a friend purcased a trend t7 and wanted my advice on how to mount it in his table. Routers do spin fast like a jet engine. 28,000 revs per min. That's 466 revs per second!

Merci !

after some searching i have realised the problem, the shank on my router bits is metric, so bang on 8mm. 3/8'' is around 9.5, oh dear. i must thank you for your quick response.

So I've heard that it's impossible to get new motor brushes or spare collets, is this correct? Also, what options are there to add this to a cheap table?

Have you got any videos of the router in operation please?

Can't see it lasting as long as my elu mof177 that's still going strong 25 years later, yep I'm old school lol. They are fine for odd jobs but the build is poor but that reflects in its price I guess.

very clear instructions well presented, i want to thank you for the quick reply to my comment. the router type is ER2100, code 535FX, catalog page 972. the collets for 8mm bits don't close anywhere near enough to hold 8mm router bits. The day after i realised their seemed to be a fault i returned to the store, the assistant tried his best. He brought out another one and between us both we couldn't get 8mm bit to fit. I wanted to know if the one you show has the same fault. That way i would know its probably a defect batch, and if that was the case i would exchange it rather than return it, thanks ,Paul.

Hi, Justin, thanks for the useful video. As I am not very experienced, could you tell me how to cut grooves ACROSS a plank (90 degrees to the edge). I can't work out how to do this. Thanks if you had the time to reply. Philip

This is pretty much the same as the Trend T7EK which is a rebadged generic design that has ben copied by lots resellers. Even the accessories are identical so there is nothing to choose between them other than the best price.

Yes, my colleague bought the Trend one a few weeks ago, it all looks exactly the same!

It's ok, used it a few times for that. Would buy something more robust if I was doing worktops every day.

I've bought one of these Routers today and this is one of the few video's available, so I appreciate any comments on the unit. As for your comment, isn't constructive criticism and education is better than simply tearing someone apart for their effort?
