For the last time, Calcharo is from the New Federation, we will meet him when we get to the New Federation, which is, most likely, after Rinascita since it was mentioned several times in Rinascita.
Padrino had some buisness in the New Federation previously, it would be cool af if the Montellis could get Cat’s Eye to do a mission for them and hire Calcharo to be the guide.
Also, I SWEAR TO GOD IF KURO DOESN’T BUFF HIS KIT WHEN HE APPEARS IN THE STORY I WILL BE VERY UNHAPPY

@Sagryl_the_Sentry_Construct he won't get buffed. He's exactly what he was supposed to be a niche character specialized in quickswap and he excels at that. He has one of the fastest ToA clears in the game. He's just super hard to play, which is fine. Not every character has to be incredibly easy to play, like Jinhsi. It's nice to have the option of playing something harder. Also he's a permanent character. I wished his constellations were better, but I have no expectations of them buffing them.

Nothing will truly be equal anywhere, what i like is to try and take the worst characters and see how far they can go solo. 😂

@@rayzen119i would say the only truly bad character is Yuanwu in a main damage dealer position. And even in a sub damage dealer position he doesn't really have a proper niche besides being a budget battery for Jinhsi's Forte Circuit

As a sub-dps, i'd say his outro isn't really good now, since it just takes off some of the shield, and it's useless if there is no shield.
Maybe if some day we get bosses with very large shields and low HP... who knows.

Calchro is not for everyone. No matter the number of sequence node his damage output is mostly from how you play him. He is one of the few resonators whose damage matches your skill level.
If they ever make a shielder that has knockback resistance Calcharo will definitely go up the tier list.
@ however the more you play him the less he relies on those. Its good at the start but the benefits diminishes as you get better.

@@en2x567 You are not wrong. Though he can do a lot as well when spell weaving with his basic attacks especially during his Liberation mode. His DMs are still the most important of course.
Ngl, bro. Calcharo is the most hoed character I’ve ever seen in gatcha gaming.
I mean, Dehya dying off-field makes her a close second, but Calcharo not having a story quest and being power-crept by a FREE character, in an environment where power creep is almost non-existent is a hell of a violation.
Idk why you're looking it like that, Calcharo is a standard banner, Xiangli Yao WAS free, but he is indeed a limited 5* character, it's natural that XY is stronger/better than Calcharo.
Also Calcharo is from the New Federation, we didn't even get there yet, we'll probably meet him at that point.
@@rayzen119 Xiangli Yao is not actually "stronger". He's just easier to play but the damage output is basically the same given that Calcharo was played right cuz he requires skill than just Ungga bungga button mash.
My dehya is virtually unkillable, how are you managing to kill her when she isn't even on field xD

Changli builds up Forte stacks in four ways. Relying on her entire basic attack combo to get one stack is slow. Dodge counters are faster but still not the best. The optimal ways are using her skill, then using her enhanced basic to get a stack, or doing an intro to her where she immediately gets one stack. Using her ult immediately gives her four stacks, but this means it's optimal to have no stacks before this for the sake of efficiency.
Changli works best as a duo damage dealer alongside another DPS, instead of a hypercarry formation where she's your main damage dealer.
How she works is that she has two charges of her skill. You do her skill, then use another character to either buff or deal damage, then switch back to her to attack again and build up her Forte. Then you repeat the process (with an Intro Skill here and there) until she builds up four stacks so she can unleash the enhanced heavy attack. Ideally you build up four stacks, unleash the forte heavy, then use her ult and do it again immediately.
Her outro buffs liberation damage so she works very well with Xiangli Yao. Though, if you don't have XLY, Chixia is another one of her best pairs as an F2P.

People were rerolling like crazy for Chalcaro back in the days but now he is all time bech warmers except for some players
Lol I didn’t bother rerolling, I got lingyang and had to use my guaranteed standard summon on Calcharo. He still slaps in quick swaps and solos against hologram bosses, especially with a 5 star weapon, but I wouldn’t say no to a buff to him either.
He's my alt account starter 😂calculator man but he stopped leveling at 60😂
Rerolling is tough work , especially when you have a free selector plus a banner where you can choose your chatector

A little off topic but how do you get the recipe for Chili Sauce Tofu? It gives 50% shell credits from overworld enemies. Literally no one online is talking about this.
Chixia is by far better then motefi because she is the only character that can actually counter a boss that goes airborne every 10 seconds or makes distance across the battlefield I would even say she’s better then calcharo in some cases, im sorry but regardless on if that’s his opinion it’s just facts
It boggles my mind that they don't even show calcharo in the story. He just doesn't exist...
As a Calcharo and Roccia main, all Calcharo needs is faster animations and a rework to his forte gauge. His damage is pretty solid though

Calcharo just needs interruption resistance and a quicker way to let off his strongest move, dodging kills dps quick

He does about the same damage as Xiangli Yao. But you need to hit that perfect rotation, because he doesn't have interruption resistance like Xiangli Yao does.

Lingyang definitely takes the top spot because he’s the worse standard 5* and losing 50/50 to him would be the worst outcome.
I'm not asking for Calcharo to be tier 0. Just give my boy forte stacks on dodge counters during his resonance liberation or a few extra seconds in the death gear state. He loses so much damage every time he has to dodge. Which happens frequently with how aggressive enemies are getting.

Started in 1.4 so I missed free Xiangli Yao so the only electro dps for me is Calcharo.
Moonlit Cloud with 2 ER 3-Cons is an absolute must build for you to use those "bad" characters as supports, like Taoqi.
So, funny story. Been playing since launch. I don't have Lingyang AT ALL. Never lost a 50/50 to him, never pulled him on the fixed banner.
I'm planning on pulling Phoebe and Zani, so let's hope it stays that way.

Idk. I kinda like Chixias design and personality. The only change I'd make on her is a bit of adjustment on her hair. Also, I hope quickswap meta gonna haunt you for your Changli rebellion sooner or later Saint. 😅
Both Changli x Calcharo and Changli x Carlotta quickswap works wonders and its hella fun imho.
I suspect that Kuro is buffing him with this new DoT mechanic. For those who haven't noticed, it strongly resembles PGR's affix system.

He's absolutely Right. Calcharo made me learn the perfect dodging mechanics the hard way. One missteps and he would get crumbled instantly, nevertheless, I think this is his charm at the end... Cuz it makes the combat more intense and the satisfaction after winning is with it! (^^)

I dunno about other languages, but on EN I hated Lingyan the moment I scrolled to him and the mf HOWLED on the menu.... he's a lion! WHY IS HE HOWLING!?
Danjin solo is way easier than calculator... that's why I like playing him.

My Taoqi is maxed she’s easily my favorite 4 stars (especially with her Narmaya design with Noelle kit) she’s an obvious example of wasted potentials the game doesn’t reward you enough for building shielder over healer her main pro is that you can get her copies much faster than monk girl which solves her forte and energy as well makes her solid sub, I’m hoping they release new echo for shielders especially with new one is confirmed soon which doesn’t look promising.
I hope they tweak Taoqi's kit in future to make her less janky.

im only now realising the only standard 5* with crit are the ones matching characters you’re guaranteed to get at the start of the game. Mr Yuanwu (? probably misspelt) is the only one not included in that group, but even then im not sure how it would fare on him
If they make sooner or later.. a support for calcharo, that makes him non interruptible i think he will be much more reliable and easy to us, of course supposing he do not die in the process XD

Yuanwu bad because you can use Mortefi for Jinshi. I regret building Yanwu instead of Mortefi.
My goal was spending less resourses, I didnt invest much into Yanwu at the first ime, but later I was thinking - hm what if I invest a little bit more, and he ended up builded better than my Verina, and I dint use him once after I got Zhezhi.
Later on I builded to the max my r6 Mortefi, and hes personal damage so good - it make him a decent choise instead of Zhezhi for hard content with high cryo resistances even If I lost some of that dmg amp on Jinshi.
I built Yaunwu just for Jinsi and yeah, I'm sure mine isn't optimal, but he just feels bad to play. :/ A shame because I like him as a character. I like Ling Yang :(

i mean calcharo biggest problems:
not having a shield aka interruption resistance
not having a synergistic 5 star weapon
and having shit dupes due to him being a standard unit and arguebly a bad set on electric
if they release a unit that ever gives shield and attack speed holy fk calcharo stonks will sky rocket
that and a crit broadblade that gives attack speed or resistance to interruption on liberation and or liberation dmg after resoance skills or liberation and he will just become a monster
(why attack speed? , it will make 4 dm easier to do if not even allow 5 dm, interruption res and liberation dmg are self explanatory)
That or they can later release a limited calcharo who is just fk better

Calcharo's problem is he don't have a good gear. Void Thunder suck ass on him, f2p 5-star sword suck ass on him even tho it supposed to be made for him, there is no ult or at least basic gacha 5-star sword. They fixed Mephis being worst echo in the game at least.
Taoqi could use a little more concerno generation, there is no def scaling echo except turtle which not even havoc damage. And they could've put a little bit of def% scaling for her basic attacks in her sequences, but whatever.
Taoqi and Calcharo makes sense 🙂
