Absolutely beautiful performance. By the way, the Artist breathes because he is alive. And this music, as well as the rendition, is full of life. Machines, comps etc. do not breathe.
I really don't know why people are so disturbed by the artist breathing sound. We should all thank sicca guitars for the great record session with audiophile standarts in terms of naturality and transparency. Yo Yo Ma is a "hard breather" also and it's very evident on a Hi End sound system playing Hi- Res records. People, Mr. Dylla is a human being and he need to breath to stay alive !
@@jrmy198523 I will never hear ur nasal breathing as I never heared it cuz I can manage listening to the good music he played with blocking every thing around .. thats how u listen to the Music. But any way .. thanks
I really don't have a problem with the breathing, but it should not be heard in a recording. This is an issue with the mic and the placement and settings of the recording equipment. Whoever is recording this, needs to have the knowledge to compensate for this anomaly and better position and adjust the mics accordingly. This is totally not the fault of this talented performer.
First I would like to Thank you again for the 2 Sentences spoken in a masterclass in Edmonton Canada, that improved my practice routine, hense, playing skills as much or more than any full hour lesson I have ever had. The concept that we humans can only learn 6 pieces of new information at a time. Fitting that to a new score really worked we through a tough plateau. 6 notes stop, was it perfect??? if no ------repeat. If yes -----repeat 6 perfect repeats, next phrase... Thanks again. Intelligence delivered concisely... Oh and this work you just performed was Delightful.
Whatever ..... i love his breath during this masterpiece...beacause it proves that he is in deeper feel with it...and his breath force me to listen this masterpiece carefully
Never heard this piece before. But I thoroughly enjoyed it, not only by learning a new piece of beautiful, but also by enjoying the player's interpretation of it. ☺
Fluid and Soulful are the two words that come to my mind at first. What a complete classical guitarplayer. and as for breathing: My wife always complains also about me hearing my breath and than I'll let her hear Marcin's breathing. I don't mind: When you are close miking the guitar this is part of it!
Its Sad that some of you miss the Master piece, and pay more mind to the breathing.. Perfection can Only be achieved, if one has the ears to listen, and the Mind to fathom the Beauty.
My ex wife aka my dearest friend knows I’ve been playing classical for many years (not very well) and she’s heard me play Segovia, Bream, etc and never commented. She saw this as well as a few others from Marcyn and said “oh my god he’s making love to the guitar”! That sums up every thought I’ve had regarding his playing
Marcin is Glenn Gould on the guitar. Gould used to hum as he played the piano, specializing in Bach. It drove the recording guys nuts trying to eliminate his humming, but to no avail.
Listen carefully to his breathing... It follows melodion and makes this performance HIS performance... Amount of emotions in his playing are enought to transport you to the end of universe and back around 1500 times....
I remember recordings of fiddler Isaac Stern w Leonard Bernstein & the NY Philharmonic, in which you could hear the soloist breathing. I've attended concerts, and performed in concerts in which you could hear the breathing. Playing an instrument can be a very physical event, and the exertions by the performers are part of that. Go to a dance performance sometime. You hear the dancers feet as well as their breathing. Electric guitars REALLY amplify the sounds of fingers scraping on wrapped strings...But the people in the bar are usually on their third beer by the first break. ‹ =º) Hey, I've used composition software that has several selections of string scraping sounds to add to the digitized guitar voice, to add "realism!" Sometimes I just saved some actual scraping sounds and added them in places myself in a recording mix of my own live performance. Can't trust anything these days. Seriously, those were for narratives, not concerts, where the music & sfx were to support a story...
Whats he doing at 0:26? It doesn't look or sound like hes doing what other guitarists I've watched do at that part. It sounds like harmonics but I cant figure out how he does it! Driving me nuts!
How can you not notice that the flageolets at the end of 1 part should be played on 7 fret, and not on 12? After all, there the music ended on the dominant, and he plays a tonic flageolets! He was deaf from his sniff.
I'm sure you guys get asked this a lot - but what is the mic setup / recording process for these? They sound really nice (I'm sure the guitars and players also help!)
+Enrique Cámara C. Unfortunately it's only Marcin Dylla, whose playing I really admire, where you can hear the breathing sound this obvious; it's kind of distracting me :/
It's this thing he does. I'd be willing to bet that if he forced himself to stop, he wouldn't be able to play as well. So I just chalk it up to "price of admission." Still one of the most amazing players I've ever heard.
He is using his Breath to Manage and control the Tempo. It is a very common practice among classic music Artists. The microphone may be too close to his mouth so that's why it sounds so loud. Anyway. He play beautifully and the recording is amazing. Just enjoy the music!
A Benadryl should clear those sinuses right up. Just a $10 dollar investment that will improve the quality of recording infinitely. Absolutely Beautiful playing none the less.
There is a mistake in the harmonics at the end of first section.
Absolutely beautiful performance. By the way, the Artist breathes because he is alive. And this music, as well as the rendition, is full of life. Machines, comps etc. do not breathe.
One of the most sensitively-played guitar pieces I have heard. Beautiful!

I just prefer my classical guitar music with no nasal breathing please. Pretty simple. It’s not personal. Just distracting.

Oh man... that was incredible, beautiful, virtuously well played.
it's funny because it was so beautiful that classical guitarists give dislike because they can not play like him juajuajuajaujua.

I like the breathing. Sounds a bit like he's gliding through the wind with the guitar. I'm glad real music can be made by humans.

Beautiful, sensitive interpretation. Pure virtuoso skill!
My favourite guitarist. So emotional, so sensual, yet such an incredibly clan sound.

Beautiful guitar sound ...
Sure is!
better to have an artist who still breaths than a dead artist. Beleive me

Fantastic. Would love a bit at the end where we get to hear what the artists think of the instruments they're playing

Strange, the ascending passage at 1:43 just made me burst into tears. Why does that happen?
Fantastic!
This is beautiful - the music, the interpretation, the guitar. The breath sounds are a problem.
+Michajeru Yes, I have agreed with you before, but what a sensational piece of playing this is!
This just in: breathing is not allowed!
Scott Ripley it is allowed if it’s part of the piece. But it’s not.
It helps to follow the correct tempo

What's with the heavy breathing ? Does it lend "sexiness" to the piece ?
The highest goal of music is to connect one's soul to their Divine Nature, not entertainment.
