I didn't even know Losi was still around. The last one I bought was the XXT-CR. I know they made another model after that, but I never heard of them again after that.
Yes sir be using my Futaba 7pxr radio for mine. Just ordered the Losi DBXLE 2.0 Fox Racing edition buggy. Watching your vid getting ideas on it. Any complaints so far on yours? Thanks brother
@@CCxRC Congrats on your awesome purchase. The buggy looks gorgeous and I'm sure performs so as well. The only off-putting thing is those hideous faux "motor fans" on the rear.
Please tell me how long do the batteries last from full charge to 0 in addition please let me know why you chose that one not the X Maxx I'm confused which one I should get they both look freaking awesome however I can only afford one of them I never do jumping if I do is very very small I do like to run it dirty trails gravel roads
Congrats on the new addition Tony! Welcome to the 1/5 scale world. Everything is Large!! This one has been on my radar for a while! I can’t wait for running video!
Thanks Chris....as I mentioned on Facebook...you pushed me over the edge with your 5ive-T video. I ran it today and it was a blast! Batteries to keep it running is going to be $$$. Gas would've probably been cheaper and instant refill.
Great great video. I am trying to make a decision which one to buy xmaxx 8s or losi dblx e. I don't understand why the losi doesn't have a fan. What is cooling the engine?? The xmaxx have a huge fan. Please respond if yoi kno the answer thx:-):-)
Can you please look at the losi mini 8ight db sometime? It got completely over looked by the dbxl-e they came out at the same time and its the baby brother ,it may be small but its so much fun, 2s and 3s capable and more attainable at 250$ RTR for the average person. I bought mine when was first released i've been bashing really hard on it and nothings broken yet, Nobody has done any type of good review of it kind of disappointing. Thanks for your channel really enjoy watching.
+brad vandenbosch thanks for the input Brad. I’ll try to work that in some time. My RC budget just hit rock bottom after saving for and getting this. Maybe when it builds back up.
The Losi looks to have much better parts and a motor to suit the size. That's where I think the Xmaxx lacked and from what I have seen lots of ESC problems. Will be good to see how it compares.
+Basildon Trail Blazing Buddies my x-max hasn’t really had the ESC issues, so I have been lucky I guess. I’ve found the x-Maximus to be built quite well and had all the power I needed from it. I know some wanted more speed and 8s capability....I am fine with 6s.
Just wanted to ask, what’s your experience running with the car so far? Any issues/problems at all while running it since you got it and how is it going so far? Just wanted to ask as I am saving up to get one
I'm loving it. If you get one...do yourself a favor and get the metal servo savor. The plastic one will not last long. I broke my cage back by the rear hinge, but now that I think about it...I did do a snow bash with it and it may have been because of the really cold weather and hard landings. Mechanically it is tough. I hit a curb at speed and it all held together, but it did mess up the servo gears. Also my fault. :) But I've launched this thing off some big hills and it handles it.
It’s pretty good. This uses a lot of the same parts as their gas version. I’ve had no issue getting parts online. X-max parts are available online or in-store around here. But it’s a 45 minute drive, so I usually go when I have a couple things to get...not just for the one broken part.
Run XT60 connectors EC5 is out of date. That's weird losi would choose to run that with the ESC. I'm not sure what comes on the dynamite ESC but I don't think it's EC5 it's pretty outdated.
I'm really enjoying mine now. I had to realize what it could and couldn't do. I was launching it off some huge BMX jumps and even though I landed it...the plastic cage and body cracked. It likes longer jumps where the impact isn't straight up and down like the BMX jumps. I was sending it off some monster truck hills at Digger's Dungeon and it took it like a champ!
I'm all about bashing right now! Monster truck hills is perfect for me. I definitely don't want to send it flying and destroy it because I don't think I'll be able to keep up with repairs from both a time and financial perspective lol! It'll be awhile before I can purchase one of these as I've got some other kits I'm building at the moment but this is definitely on my radar! :)
I used to own both. Losi makes quality RC that's for sure it depends on what you're into this is more like a BMX maybe dirt bike track the xmaxx is designed for pure bashing I kept the xmaxx sold the losi. I do still have my sc10 I think is better for the track and the slash 4x4 for bashing.
I like it. I keep it closer to the ground now and run don't bash it and I like it. Also found in the manual where it says how to make the steering better.
Ha I was jus was at my local local hobby store and looking around at used to cars I'm big into 5th scales .... happened to look on a piece of paper hanging abovee said dbxl-e on sale 799.99. I jumped and grabbed it up last one too .. so with battery's I have less then 925 into it .... Steal.... I love it stupid fast scary dangerous at 50mph. Coming at u ..
want to know something crazy? i know people are going to say i shouldnt do this but im going to 😁 im going straight from 1/18 to 1/5 and this is the car im going to buy 😂
you know whenever i see the prices of these 5th scales i think "oh my god!", and then i stop and consider how much i put into just one of my axials and i go "eh, why not?" still haven't pulled the trigger because i've got no place to run one.
X-maxx has been way more bulletproof than this. First run cracked body panels and driver's head popped off.. Broke the servo saver the second run with this on a very small jump that was just on my way out to the trail. Third run cracked the cage and broke the plastic seats / interior out without crashing...just a hard landing and the way transfer. Basically....I don't feel like I should jump it at all. The cage and body panel replacement will cost quite a bit to replace.
CCxRC Ohhhhh.....got it! So, it's definitely a comparison to the Traxxas. I'm assuming the Traxxas is a better built from your comments on things breaking? Guess I'll see if anyone else out there has run the D.R. and have had anything break on launches. Although, I don't see either as a "launch or basher" type of rig.
+allinone 1 I must not since I paid that for it. 😂 but seriously....I think it might be a little high, but when you compare it to other 1/5 scale...it’s price is comparable based on the quality of components.
A very wicked rig, color me green with envy but that radio...very disappointing!! If you're correct about your reasoning on owners already having better systems, then it's BS for any company to use that logic. For the cost of this rig a toy grade radio is nothing short of a ripoff imo.
I find the X-maxx to be competitively priced with other vehicles it’s size. It’s also the most fun truck I have and I’m still trying to destroy my original 6s version I got when they first came out. That said...it’s hard to compare them. They are meant to be used in different ways. I really like this Losi, but I would never bash it the way I do my x-Maxx also, it cost more than my X-maxx by $200. The original 6s x-max was $800 when I bought it and the DBXLE was $1,000.
OSE 8.0MM ANTI SPARK connectors. You'll love them 300 amp continuous I believe.
This guy has gorgeous eyes 🤔 who would possibly thumb this down?
man i was looking at one of these at L.h.s. the other day. Looks fun
That are really fun
I didn't even know Losi was still around. The last one I bought was the XXT-CR. I know they made another model after that, but I never heard of them again after that.
They're still around and going as TLR (Team Losi Racing) too. But Losi just released the Baja Rey earlier this year.
Nice. Makes me wanna pull the old XXT-CR off the shelf and see what I can do to upgrade it. Haven't messed with it in YEARS.
Splendid Losi , excellent unboxing !!
Thanks Pascal!
Excellent video and great kit! Can't wait to see you get it out in the wild.
it's uploading now ;)
SWEET!
Congrats on the Losi DBXL-E it looks awesome. I’ve been wanting one myself maybe soon. 👍
+Noeys FastRc thanks man! I’ve been itching for a 1/5th scale, but honestly wanted electric.

Hi,
Very grateful to you. Did you ever run 2 full battery pack back to back in hot weather without damaging the battery?
Thank you
Never tried.
Awesome, what a car, will be great on a BMX track. Looking forward to the first run.
It would be great on a BMX track. I don't have access to that...but I do have BMX trails.

Thanks! I'm really excited about it.
oh yeah - you got one! nice!!!!
"Right after the Brake" LOL Great :)
I want one of those 2, can't decide, which is the fastest and or most fun to operate?
Thanks.

Subbed to your channel! Again cause I'm pretty sure I subbed to you years ago
Awesome man... That thing is a beast!!! Can't wait to see it out on the trails ; )
+RcNickster I’m afraid to take it on those trails you speak of. 😂
Hi,
Thanks for the video. Do I have to set up the shocks and camber before the first use? I feel it's low from the rear!
Thanks
Thank you ❤
I just ordered one but im changing the transmitter to an hpi tf40 its a great feeling transmitter
I need to change mine out still
Where can I get this exact rc car.......please help
awesome car and review!
Good comparison

Regular dbxl would be one of the best options on the market if it was sold as roller or kit.
Tony, which brand has the best durability : Traxxas, Losi, or ARRMA ?

CCxRC ah ok, thank you for the input, appreciated it. Will keep in mind about the changes that you said is necessary 👍🏽
It's like $15-20 for the metal servo savor. I'd probably have it on-hand and ready to install. Didn't take much for me to break the plastic one.
Another major of CCxRC. #TonyXRcHype
Can't wait to run it
Hi Tony, now that you have had this for a bit - if you had to pick one, would it be the Losi or the X-max?
For bashing, I’d still get an X-maxx, but I really do like how this thing handles.
Thanks. As par as parts and support, how does Losi compare?

which is better?
Getting harder to say...but this is 8s and I only have the 6s X-Maxx. I still prefer the c-max for bashing, but this has so much power.
Losi is a higher grade RC. Traxxas is Garbage
@@markamd1 "Traxxas is garbage " Not even close kid.

Well I'm noticing allot of problems with their diffs in every single model vs Traxxas models
Which one is better Rc rock crawler or Rc buggy ?
Can you review the hsp brontosaurus pro
Definitely a great monster.
Sure seems like it is built really well
Thank you

+humble rc that is true. A lot of people put this much into their 1/10 scale cars.
CCxRC do you think that the maxxis trepadore tired of the Vekta5 would fit this vehicle ? Or are they to high for the spoiler in the back?
nice toy controller
I will be using my DX4r Pro with this vehicle in the future
Xmaxx is great but losi is insane in quality
X-maxx has been way more bulletproof than this. First run cracked body panels and driver's head popped off.. Also your only running 6s in you xmaxx that’s 2/3 of the weight of the losi
Doesn't this compare more to the Traxxas Desert Runner rather than the X-Maxx?
It does now. The Traxxas Desert Runner wasn't announced when I got this...or I probably wouldn't have bought it.

Haven’t ever really tested that.

Oh my God......👍
+Smithesh N huge eh?
CCxRC definitely huge....
A $60 radio with a $1000 car wow
Crazy, isn't it?!
Or $40.
Lol the word for the day is "incur"
The x maxx bulletproof? No No😂😂. The x maxx was a nightmare
No no its bulletproof
These things are nice but for the money they're not that durable the motor is awesome though
The motor and ESC setup are insane
really hope you can get those model drivers out of the car, because it makes it look like its a cheap children toy!
They are just screwed in...and break out anyway.
You idiot it's supposed to be detailed. Also at the end of the day it is a toy!!!
You don't bash a DBXLE.
XT90 connectors
No receiver is not waterproof
Makes the X look way over priced .... and it always was , like all Traxxas MT's
big monster XD
Wow not even the basic dx2e wtf
1000$ is overpriced don't you think?

in what way? Looks?
