Great comparison! One thing , I'd like to add is the new ESC mounting position allowed losi to put a vent in the interior to help keep the ESC cool. Another neat thing they did was add an additional hole, to allow you to get to the on/off switch. Cheers!
@@Jeff-or6em ya, I've been wondering about what Arrma is going to put out. I like both Losi and Arrma, so friday I'm picking up my 2.0, and then if Arrma has something exciting then Christmas bonus I'll get that too! LoL :P
@@DriftomaniacsRC I am sorry, I assumed you knew, seeing as you did a video showing what the differences are and went over everything except for the suspension bits.
Will the new version still fit a motor with a 58x122 can like the old one did? Also, is there still room for the 200 and 300 ah esc's such as max 5 and ZTW 300?
Hey man, I would love to see a comparison video between the Losi DBXL-E 2.0 and your beloved Losi Rock Rey if you're able to do that? I love your videos BTW!
Paul, I am debating upgrade my V1 with some of the bits from the V2, my centre driveshafts seem to suffer badly on big air landings they don't bend but the drive pins snap off! I've just gone to replace the front one and order a v2 one by mistake. I can't fit it as the pins are much bigger! This makes me think they've addressed a weak point in the V1 and I believe that I can change the drive cups and the shafts to the new v2 versions. Given the initial outlay of the v1 I'm thinking about selective upgrades rather than shelling out for a whole new car. Just fitted XLX2 and new poseidon motor, I should run it this Friday all being well. Hope you're staying safe over there
@@DriftomaniacsRC Hi. Thank you for such a great comparison. This is an awesome video, especially for me because my local store happens to have both versions in stock and I am debating which one to buy. v1 is about $200 cheaper and I like its body design much better. Do you think choosing v1 and saving $200 is okay to put up with weaker driveshafts in your opinion?
well I've the 1st one as well and I'm told you can retro fit the new parts. I notice the driveshaft (center ones) have much thicker pins on the end, indeed they won't fit into the v1 cups (found this out when I bought the wrong one) and they might be worth upgrading on a 1st gen car
thanks Paul, I've got the 1st one as well and am just making up a plate so I can fit the Castle XLX esc to it. I like the new one but I'd struggle to justify swopping the old one.

thoughts on this COPPA act youtube and the FTC are about to enforce on youtube creators? aslo whether or not the FTC will deem R/C "appealing" to kids?
I’ve been watching a lot of videos on it and as it stands basically every creator will have to mark their video as being for kids as even if no kids watch it if the FTC decides its for kids then they’ll fine you and it’s their decision you could not have a single child viewer and it wouldn’t matter. Unless you steps in to help them UA-cam is over!

The FOX theme imo was an absolute home run. The car just looks amazing. I'd love to see a similar themed for the Super Rock Rey.
gotta love this Hobby! So much great stuff!
So I can use upper body rbody the shell of dbxl e 2.0 on the old dbxl e
Already planning a 2.0 in my near future!! As a matter of fact, my local Hobby shop is holding mine right now! Woo Hoo...
sLyKnEzZ I am waiting to see ARRMA new vehicle there revealing in 3 days 🤔. It might be a 1/5 scale also.
@@Jeff-or6em that's exactly what I'm waiting for! If ARRMA release doesn't impress me. I've got a few LOSI I'm considering.
thought for the day the arrma release is announced before xmas but note no mention of which xmas delivery will be before😂

@@slyknezz6862 I'm curious as well if it is a large scale, it would be a new platform for them and version 1. We all know about 1st versions..
Damn this v1 body has great colors 😁👍
great review both are really awesome, nice video
Are the body’s the same? Will a new 2.0 body fit a regular DBXL-E?
I actually had same question, some 2 yrs later. Do you happen to know if it does?
Don't like the look of the Kraton 8s, buying one of these. 👍
😍The body of the 2.0 looks amazing😍
Great comparison👍 Looks like a solid rig.
Awesome video very nice comparisons great job thumbs up 👍
I love the new looks, I might buy a twin for my first sister ones. I did tons of upgrades on my first one. Hopefully for this one as well
Will the DBXL e 2.0 chassis bolt up to a gasser DBXL front/rear clips or do I need to used the original e chassis?
That’s good they increased the driveshaft pin size mine broke those a lot
What a BEAST Rich 🤙🏼
Hi is the body’s reversible?
How long are the wings on the dbxle 2.0
Love the new body panels😁👏
Could you tell me which parts are compatible between the two regarding suspension arms hubs and all that? Thanks
You'd need to ask losi as that's what I'd do to find out. I don't sell these cars although I do own the V1 DB XL-E

Does anyone know if this chassis could be converted to gas...? Like how the cage flips up !

You would need to look it up online or check it out in store as I don’t have that level of detail
Sick 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 The db pro big brother
What are the sizes of the battery trays (max width & length able to fit)?
Frank you'd need to check the Losi website as that's what I'd do.

I have the losi SRR and the mk1 xle. However it keeps throwing off the pinion gear once I get that sorted I’ll see what I can do
What gear box changes were there you didn't address that
You'd need to check with Losi
Looks like a good basher&maybe also fun on a track!
A really good looking and now uograded basher. Good review 👍

Nice! I wish I can afford it. I saw Snap On Xmaxx!
The V1 for the win for sure. I can't beleive they used the same POS 160amp esc on the V2....and the placement of the ESC is very questionable.
I can see it for the airflow but I'm surprised they didn't go big with 2-300amp one.
I want one!
