    I also show you where the indicator relay is and how to replace it so that you can slow down the flashing speed of your indicators.

    Thank you so much for this excellent video. No annoying BS from some idiot trying to sound cool and no irritating and distracting loud music - just straightforward, step by step explanation which is really useful.
    I really appreciated the thorough explanation of the under seat wiring harness feeding the rear lights. I've been chasing that for a while as I want to put in a buzzer to sound in synch with my indicators when they are switched on. So dangerous when they are inadvertently left on.
    By the way the spare space for a relay under the tank is for the accessories circuit. This relay is a feature of later models. It is a 7.5 amp circuit so can take a lot of load. There are male and female bullet connectors buries in the wiring loom under the speedo/instrument console. The bullet connectors are generally used to mount a USB port. In these later models the USB port won't work unless the appropriate relay is placed in that spare slot. The Honda USB port for the later models comes with the relay and there are many sellers online selling USB ports for the Rebel that come with that relay.
    Once again thanks so much for taking the time to make this very informative video.

      That's unfortunately not true. I have a 2022 which is led and it needed them as well. Different led lights draw different amounts of power so you will still need the relay.

    when you added the rear blinkers and license plate brackets to the shock bolt did the shock dis engage or was it a simple slip on. Also, did you have to torque the shock bolt at all ?

    • @TweakedGSX
      @TweakedGSX  Рік тому +1

      It maybe had a half a cm of decompression which you will be able to manage by gently sitting on the seat whilst you put the indicator bracket on then putting the shock back on. I did the bolt up at 100nm max it doesn't need much. Just remember that you should re-check then after your first ride. I check everything on my bike once a month as I've undone many nuts and bolts. If you get paranoid about it you can put a very small drop of non permanent Loctite on the thread.

    I'm confused as to why the flashing is off pace.. the OEM lights are LED so shouldn't the new LED's be similar speed? I thought problems only occurred when switching from standard light bulbs to LED..

    • @TweakedGSX
      @TweakedGSX  Рік тому +2

      It seems the relay is overly pedantic, even in this led to led swap situation, the current draw from the new led is more than factory and so it flashes fast. I've had this on about 5 different LEDs on the Rebel.

    Taking the license plate and mounting it on the side just makes the bike less aerodynamic. If it's on the fender it doesn't catch much air. Sticking out on the side just catches a lot of air negatively affecting both handling at high speed and gas mileage. Also it is asymmetric. It looks like a man with one ear. It's funny how when a fad starts, everyone has to jump on board whether it makes sense or not. It's just like fashion. Is it a good idea to rip holes in your jeans? Not really. But once it becomes a fad, everyone does it no matter how silly it is. Just like when it became a gangster fashion to wear one's pants down below their butt.

      @@TweakedGSX "But do tell me about my bike"... Okay since you have asked me to. Your bike is pretty cool and you have done a good job with it. I just think that the fad regarding the tag relocation is sorta silly since it is asymmetric and it certainly doesn't help the aerodynamics. I don't have to ride your bike to know that it is asymmetric, I just have to have eyes. And I don't have to ride it to know that something sticking out like that will catch air, I just have to have common sense. I realize that neither one of those things are a really big deal but I was just saying how I felt since that is what comments are for. Have a nice day.

      @ahhhh226 6 місяців тому

      I don't think such a small square will affect handling or gas mileage to the point it's noticeable. The air going past you isn't perfectly flowing straight, it would've already been disrupted by your legs, handlebars etc it won't really make a difference of 5mpg and steering left by itself lol.
